  1. Same thing has been happening with LOD with player controlled East German skins. 415, 424, etc up close all change to 444 at a slight distance. The numbers are still quite clearly read so I believe the distance is set too close for that change.
  2. It would probably be easier for you to add your screen shots to the existing one and let this thread die instead of waiting on a moderator to merge your single post.
  3. I would like to submit the following for registration to the red side, please. Squadron Name: Jagdgeschwader 1 "Fritz Schmenkel" Tag: JG-1 Active pilots number: 7 Pilot callsigns: JG-1_Klaiber JG-1_Lipfert JG-1_Britchot JG-1_Trev5150 JG-1_Vonrd JG-1_Erhardt JG-1_Rotermann

    VTB switches

If you turn away from the waypoint it should move laterally across the VTB screen. Perhaps I am misunderstanding, are you just speaking of a roll without a heading change?

    VTB switches

Great video tutorial Zeus. It worked great for me tonight running the Sidewinder low-level route. The double tap of Prep is a lifesaver when down low trying to figure out your next heading, too. Piece-by-piece I'm starting to unravel the navigation system.
  6. I'm only guessing but I would think the max release would be more than the CHARGES FBW mode allows, therefore you're safe while in the correct configuration and > 0.4g.
  7. I followed Pickinthatbanjo's YouTube video and then put an airplane with two waypoints behind it at the same altitude. I would post the mission but I'm at work and it can certainly be done in minutes. By the way, this advice was the best! Setup with an IL-78M at 22,000' MSL and 430kts GS and I was able to top off a clean M2K from 2100l on one connection. Oh, I'd love to put this a/c in DCS as an American variant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilyushin_Il-78 Operators: United States One former Ukrainian aircraft was imported in to the United States with an aim to operate the aircraft for contracted refuelling to United States military by various companies, by 2012 the aircraft was registered to the Bank of Utah.[17][18]
  8. I believe this is the issue, I had the same problem in a previous patch as I remember making a statement along the lines of, "What happens if the lead runs out of bombs? The JTAC will only ask for guns." We were also in M2Ks. It would be nice to see the code total the ordnance for the flight and allow anyone in the flight the ability to make calls.
  9. I play with a single 32" 1920X1080 monitor and I was quite pleased when I logged in today, so make me #4. I believe that an option would be the best to suit the people with different tastes instead of catering to a specific group.
  10. From Ciribob's document you'll see 118-144 and 225-399.975. 144 may not be inclusive so it could only be 143.90.
  11. I have no idea why I wrote 23... I must have been distracted at that moment. It's unfortunate that something this simple hasn't been altered yet.

    Parking brake

This topic has already been acknowledged by CptSmiley, it's only a matter of time before it is implemented. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172323&highlight=parking+brake [insert snooty search function comment here] :P
  13. Doesn't the mission editor have 0-23? It's been a long time since I've looked there. One would have thought this discrepancy would have been fixed by now, either your way or the one that was fan fixed nearly two years ago. I'm at work and can't get to the bug-tracker, has this ever been acknowledged by LS?
  14. I'm not at my gaming PC right now so this is purely off of memory (and I'm getting older). Aren't the RSBN codes also on the default kneeboard pages?
  15. Thank you for proposing a permanent solution. I've been kicked off of servers for changing the hint.lua manually. My ability to read Cyrillic letters (and therefore phonetically understanding some words) does not carry over enough to the more detailed tooltips. Having an English cockpit does not look right to me, therefore I live with trying to remember which switch does what.
  16. Quake is a First Person Shooter where you play on a small map against an opposing team. The gameplay would wind up resulting in spawning, rushing in, scoring a kill or two, quickly dying, and respawning. Kill death ratios could be something outrageous like 20 kills to 30 deaths as an example. This has been applied to online player versus player servers/games where no regard for personal survival is kept and the only goal is to shoot down someone else as quickly as possible. This is opposed to flying with the intent to survive and make it back alive and preferably in one piece so the plane can be used again.
  17. QUESTION 1, Would you buy an AV-8B Harrier Module A = Yes. I've been around AV-8Bs and am looking forward to another high-fidelity, dedicated attack aircraft. QUESTION 2, How long do you honestly believe before the Harrier will be introduced?(No disrespects to RAZBAAM you guys are great!) B = 12 Months. I wouldn't want to see anything rushed to finish by the end of the year. I'm patient and have a lot to learn with the current fleet I own. QUESTION 3, Are you more excited for the AT-27 Tucano that is supposed to be released by the end of this year, or waiting some more time for the AV-8B? A = AT-27. This is purely due to the fact that it will come out soon. I am very interested in a light attack, modern propeller aircraft in DCS. If it wasn't being made by RAZBAM, I probably wouldn't buy it but I'm all in with their M2K and outstanding customer relations. Question 4, Do you see the AV-8B having a place in DCS World? A = Yes, it will add some very interesting gameplay features to DCS B = It is a niche aircraft in real life and will be in DCS. I guess both of these answers fit my response. I think launching attack sorties off of LHD/LHA ships will be something different than doing the same thing with Hornets off of full size carriers. Both will have their place in the game and I'll definitely enjoy either approach. Question 5, Do you really hope RAZBAAM will soon turn a large amount of its research and development into the highly complex AV-8B? A = Yes, RAZBAAM needs to finish up the AT-27 and start full work on the AV-8B ASAP! This is purely for the instant gratification in me. However, I would like to see each module released get the majority of their attention until it's in a releasable state.
  18. Found some interesting details on what is shared within those bands: http://www.spaceacademy.net.au/spacelink/radiospace.htm
  19. There are a few pages with the AF-1 (the Brazilian A-4M) on carriers: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?50782-Brazilian-Skyhawks-in-action!-) The module in question would be a dream come true for me. My dad flew #24 for VMA-211 for a number of years.
  20. It affects the differences in reflections or shininess caused by various materials. Here is an interesting article on the subject: http://blog.digitaltutors.com/understanding-difference-texture-maps/
  21. I personally love the Mirage, even in it's current state. Although the MiG-21 is my favorite, I enjoy the parity that the M2K gives me at altitude on MP servers.
  22. Although I haven't flown military aircraft, all the ones I've been around have chocks in, brakes off on shutdown.

I know I'm not subjected to the same amount of regulatory restrictions as a military pilot is when I'm in the Citabria 7KCAB but I carry my iPad mini on my leg with a Bluetooth GPS receiver on the glare shield. It's equipped with ForeFlight, which is approved by the aviation administration for navigation. It has almost completely replaced my paper kneeboard, though I still keep it as a backup. I use the same program for approach plates in aircraft I fly that have moving maps, however the Citabria doesn't even have a transponder, much less a moving map display ;)

The other sign that he was the wingman is the fact his head was glued to the right, not moving at all. But yeah, his helmet obscures the lead for most of the video.
  25. Ahh, that could be the issue, we were using the same custom map for both tests, I'll double check that setting. Thanks for the idea.
