  1. The problem with the stealth fleet is they all rely on systems, and system performances, that simply aren't modeled well right now. We could possibly do the 117 and do it well, but the truth is I don't think I'd be interested in it until we had some real consequences for bombing said targets. Hell, we can't even disable runways right now, bomb/destroy ATC buildings, etc. I'd love the F-22 though, a new HOTAS, supercruise, 120-D/9-X/SDB, and datalink/EW stuff.
  2. I am the most shameless here. I have less shame than a donkey. I have less shame than a kleptomaniac. I have less shame than even my own dog. I don't pick look at my foot when I walk in poop. I just keep going. Last time I felt shame, I was in high school flirting with a classmate. I had headphones on, and was speaking louder than I should have. Great, shameful times.
  3. For governments and, assuming they'd sell to private buyers, lotto winners...yes?
  4. Honestly? I don't really care too much about having a twin throttle. I'd love it but the only time it matters is engine damage. More important, I think, is possible controls attached. The more I can put on the hotas the better..
  5. From my understanding of other posts, the units may be priced outside of our scope. With that said, nobody's posted an actual response from them. I'd buy that F-22 set.. The f-35 set actually hurts my head though.
  6. I see some awesome stick designs. I haven't seen any throttles designed yet. Is that planned by Virpil?
  7. http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/8560/usaf-looks-to-retire-f-15c-eagle-and-replace-it-with-upgraded-f-16s I've enjoyed Rogoway over the past few years. I've enjoyed using the f15c in dcs just as long. Obviously the USAF will lose out on some of the f15s benefits like endurance and payload
  8. Well written I think. I believe we can look at a few key "moments" that have put us here though. When ED realized the NTTR terrain was on them. That has really pushed some things back and out of order. In fairness, it reads as if their attempt to design the map showed them the necessity of the 2.0/EDGE. Hopefully sooner than later. Choosing the F18. We have runways, that aren't perfect but largely work. Choosing a naval craft meant not only working on a flight model, but reworking the carrier(s) too. Not to say the naval interactions will hold an f18 release back, but I expect it to bea part of the design. I'd be surprised if the f18 related changes aren't also a blessing for SU33 pilots. I can sympathize with your grievances on server balance but I believe that lies more with mission makers than ED. It's hard to say just build SAM walls, but it could happen. I think the experience will get better with dedicated servers though. I kind of wish a modern US plane was named Mustang II now.
  9. I like the warthog design and think it's really the best we can do from regular, public stores. I may very well buy another. It certainly isn't perfect though. I could make do with this stick as is..the cms will be on top of the stick vs the side, and may not have the button press. I can appreciate the MIG and SU fans preferring little change..the hobby has focused mostly on US/NATO design(cougar, warthog, suncom, etc) I also think this design is much more useful as a general stick compared to the tmwh.(If it can have an equally designed throttle unit)
  10. Hmm. If we could get that index switch a 4 way and the thumb switch a 4 way +1 like the TMWH, I'd honestly love that. Mmmmm
  11. If nothing else, I'd love to see this as a compromise to having so much blank landmass on the caucuses map. Turkey, Armenia, and Ukraine are just empty. Especially since Ukraine's mass seems to have a lot of those beacons for it to be empty. This could be useful for instant missions too at some lwvel.
  12. I first flew DCS Ka-50 and A-10C with the x52 pro. Then the A-10C and FC3/F-15 with the warthog. I'm excited by VKB's modern stick and would love to see a twin throttle set from them. I'm also waiting on hegykc's f-18c stuff but maybe not as a general stick. I honestly loved the x52 until I upgraded, and the warthog was the best I've had. I'd take either again if I had to, the VKB MCG at the moment. Maybe the mfg crosswind instead of my saitek pedals.
  13. Does the f15 series have radar sharing datalink like the su27/33 has modeled I assumed it was a real life thing not fully modeled, so we sorta missed out.
  14. Yeah, I wasn't interested in the previous sticks, but I'd take a chance on this one if it sold with a base. All I intend to do is F-18, A-10, and some f-15c/fc3 though.. The shape is a little different for my tastes but I'd do it.
  15. All links work now. I may very well order the pedals when this stick is available. Would be a huge step up from the old saiteks I owned before.
  16. I know it's not available yet, but i'm actually wondering about buying some pedals right now. Unfortunately, the only link that works for me, so far( it could be my internet..) is the flighsimcontrols link. That one says using another site, but this 3rd site says they no longer sell VKB's stuff.
  17. I forget. Was there a standalone f18 hotas planned? Without needing to own a warthog?
  18. I've been interested in hegykc for a few years and am coming back to DCS. Sort of placeholsing here as I get caught up on info!
  19. I left for a while. Is it maybe time I came back and get my stuff together or do we still have no real info on a solid f18c release?
  20. I selected the dynamic campaign, but I also have one for "other" Multiplayers under 1 flight. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, all recognized as human players under the leadership of 1-1. shared waypoints for the flight, 1-1 and others can use the easy comms to communicate orders and commands. Not sure if that fits under improved multiplayer or not.
  21. Warthog HOTAS still available. Willing to sell for $350 MFDs still available. Hoping to clear them out before the end of May.
  22. As the title says, I'm selling my HOTAS, the joystick extensions, and my MFD panels. The last I used any of this stuff was several months ago, immediately before I left my last group. All equipment was in working order. Warthog HOTAS: Currently sitting in box, protected with the styrofoam shell, but not in the plastic bags. Will come with the allen wrench. If it comes with a software cd, I can't locate it. 80mm extensions: Purchased from wasyl00 in this thread (I'm post 26): http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121242 Cougar MFD units: Both worked as supposed to in Windows XP MCE and Windows 7. In 8/8.1, I followed the instructions here: http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2900614/en-us as suggested in this thread (I'm post 43):http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115816&highlight=mfd+fix These units have continued to perform well with the above tweaks for win8.1, however, I can not find all of the various cutouts that can slide in the open spaces. With that said, I believe the thrustmaster website still has images available for download if you so choose. As above, if the set came with a disc, I can not find it now. Pricing: HOTAS: $370.00+ shipping MFDs sold as pair ONLY: $45.00+ shipping -I don't really frequent the forums anymore, so I ask that anyone with questions please PM me. I will receive those to my inbox and can respond from there. -I've done my best to accurately represent these items and believe my prices are fair. If you disagree, then please PM your offer. -I primarily hope to sell to USA residents. I feel it would be less hassle in terms of shipping cost and time. Along these lines, I am open to discount pricing if you'd like to purchase all items. -I believe I have covered my bases here, but if you find this ad lacking in information, please say so.
