  1. I Too am standing by, although I purchased mine on 11-10-15. I get one free campaign, and I did not have an option to pick. I hope mine is the F-15C!
  2. +1 I would love to see the status as well.
  3. OK next question. How do I make an F-16 skin available? I've done a US Navy F-16N variant for use in the NTTR, I created a new Livery folder which shows in the Mission editor. However it will only show one of the default skins. I have my 2 template files in the Specified US Navy VF-126 Livery folder that I created. I tried changing the Skin number to 12, as this is the next unused number, but no go. As a Side note, I can not locate the Default Nellis Aggressor F-16 texture files anywhere in the DCS World architecture. They are there though. I found Greek, Israeli, US standard, Netherlands, Turkish, textures, but not the Nellis (WA) Aggressors. Do you know where they might be located? Basically, I just want to create a variety of aggressor liveries to offer the Virtual Thunderbirds an alternative ride. This in turn, may offer live manned F-16's to fight against in a DACT manor for Multi-player. -Woog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I liked the model enlargement, and am sad to see it go. It is realistic to be finding the aircraft with your MK.1 eyeball. Most good pilots are only glancing at the radar screen in order to tell them which direction to look at out the canopy. Depending on the size and profile of the aircraft, I think 100km may in fact be realistic. I have no technical solution to the problem, but instead offer a phrase "hyper focus." There term can be interpreted differently, and its implementation is anyone's guess. I do suggest keeping the Alpha open even after moving to Beta, just for experimentation of these types of features. -Woog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hello NRG, Will this template work for the F-16 that is currently in the siim?
  6. Really, why do you still have vista installed? lol Win 10 is a free upgrade and work s great with everything! Vista was the Crappiest program Microsoft ever made! To each their own I guess, but I and Most others couldn't wait to get rid of Vista. It was probably the shortest lived operating system ever. -Woog
  7. The map does not need to be expanded for Fallon. It is well with in the existing map borders. The entire Fallon range complex is as well. I flew over them yesterday. The Detail and objects just need to be added in. I would gladly pay for a Highly Detailed Fallon as a DLC add-on to this NTTR map. -Woog
  8. I completly agree Vincent. The only factor that would really affect this in my mind would be the Elevation mesh that is used. To this point, I believe E.D. would need to implement a high quality mesh everywhere. This way add-on airports and scenery would not need to alter the mesh itself. The clarity or resolution of the imagery that is "Draped" over the top of the mesh near the new airport, would only be seen by the happy new owner of said scenery. If I don't own a particular airport, I would just see an airplane or Helo landing at a blurry detail less airport. The important aspect, is the Land and Hills are the same for everyone. We don't want to see airplanes sunck into the ground, or floating while parked and stationary. Flying around the NTTR map really gives me the feeling that Eagle Dynamics has broken through a major barrier in development of the next big thing. I hope they have the forsite to realise that this platform can be used by Mil-simmers, and others at the same time. E.D. doesn't haveto lose their focus on Combat Simulation, just Allow other Devs to bring forth all the capabilities that this new engine and map offer. -Woog
  9. I am requesting E.D. start the implementation of Seperate Airport DLC that adds to existing maps. Similar to ORBX buisness model, this would be a perfect way to detail out each world as we see fit for our own needs. Secondly, it would decrease the initial download size and time of new area maps. I am most certain that these additional airports would be just as popular as the Aircraft modules themselves. Flying around the Alpha NTTR, we see various civilian airports all over the place as part of the base imagery. These beg to have even basic details added to them. Let alone the 6 or 7 other Military Airfields that fall within the Nevada Map borders. More detailed Imagery could be part of each individual Airfield add-on. Personaly, I will buy, and add as many details as I can to make my military flight in DCS as authentic as possible. -Woog
  10. I just did a flight out to the corner of the map to see how ED implemented the West Coast. Guess what, there isn't one. Once you leave the detailed imagery area, you get a repeated generic desert texture pattern that goes on to infinity. My request or hope is that E.D. can cut out a rough California coastline from this generic desert pattern. At least then we can then use Aircraft Carriers in conjunction with the NTTR map. -Woog
  11. With all the terific Mods people are able to bring into DCS, I have high hopes that a high quality 737 will be brought into the sim as an Ai model. This is the most common airliner in the world of course. Not only that, but the prefered ride of Janet Airlines. Other airliners would be welcome as well, but I would be happy if we could just get that one. -Woog
  12. I really hope that E.D. considers bringing highly detailed ADD-on airports as DLC for existing maps. It might help with the whole HUGE download fiasco. For NTTR, I would love to see Tonopah (KTNX), Fallon (KNFL), Edwards AFB (KEDW), and China Lake (KNID) as airports for Purchase. -Woog
  13. Welcome Jose! Hello Jose, Your T-6 would be very welcome, as would an A-6E. In fact any of Razbam's library would be very welcome additions. As the Tomcat and F-5 are both on their way, an A-4F/TA-4 would be spectacular. Then of course the elephant for any DCS Wishlist is an F-16 of course. Thanks for taking the time to ask. Sincerely, -Woog P.S. I had to add this Edit: An OV-10A/D Bronco would be absolutely awesome, especially once we get a Euro or Vietnam map!
  14. Hello, BelSimTek Staff, I was hoping you guys could add a few more configuration options to the Huey. Namely, could we have the option for Front AND Rear Hardpoints. The Front Hard points were rarely ever used except by Australia. I would like to mount only the Aft Hardpoints. With that said, you should be able to mount Miniguns and rockets to the same hardpoint, at the same time. Option 2: Can you make the Flare dispensers independent options? As if you load flares, they appear, if your flare count is at zero, then the launchers will not be mounted. Option 3: Can you make the Cable cutters have there own check box? Essentially If you could implement a separate Check Box for: A) Cable Cutters B) IR Suppressors C) Front Hard Point D) Aft Hard Point It would be greatly appreciated. It would give us better options to configure the Huey more closely to what it normally was during the peak of operations with the U.S. Military and Our close allies. Sincerely, Preston "Woogey" Martin
  15. I also believe ground crew is a VERY important missing feature. In the Carrier Deck environment, you can forget the Hangar Deck for Aircraft operations. It would be a good place for some people to walk around in set patterns like ORBX has created for their sceneries. Aircraft are only moved by tugs below decks. Jet engines are not typically run in the hangar. As far as top side goes, there are some very specific aircraft travel paths that would need to stay clear for successful operations to happen. There are also a lot of start spots that could be assigned, but not so many shut down spots. A "push back" script would need to be written that called a tug to hook up and park you. As for multiplayer, the aircraft would already be parked on deck, as you login, you would choose a tail number, and there you would be after the SIM loaded. To enable realistic ops, either an automated launch cue would have to be created that would essentially act like the ammo clip in a gun, Sequentially sending ready players to the Cat, and using radio voice cues in conjunction with the desired deck crew pointing you in the right direction. It could be done, it is feasible. LEATHERNECK Sims will prove my words to be true. Just be patient. The other option to the cue system, would be a true player operated deck boss feature, where the Carrier is a module to be operated unto itself. -Woog
  16. U.S. Naval Ops Package I voted for for maps, but what I would really like that was not included in the pole, is U.S. Aircraft Carrier ops, and more U.S. Navy ships to fill out the fleet. E.D. Has done a beautiful job modeling the Tico and Perry. I would love to see a cold war era black mast Spruance class, Virginia Class (CGN), Iowa, Knox, Tarawa/Wasp, Whidbey Island, Newport, LCAC, and a couple of oilers. -Woog
  17. UH-1N IROQUOIS The Twin Huey! I would love a pointy nosed USMC Huey, and a Boat to fly her off of. -Woog
  18. I was just going to post about this. All canopy glass on all modules is a little funky. I suspect an alpha channel has changed somewhat. it is most noticeable in the Huey's top green tinted windows. They are very hard to see through, and are no longer green. From the outside they now appear to be "mirror tinted". I think this is an issue all dev's will have to adjust on their models glass mapped texture files. -Woog
  19. "Roman 86" VFA-106 Gladiators Roman 86 has been submitted to the user file directory, and should be available for download soon. -Woog
  20. Hey Eddie, I have downloaded, but not installed these awesome carriers yet. Do they have the correctly assigned air wing on board, or are they the same on all 4 boats. I am speaking in terms of the squadron liveries. -Woog
  21. It would be fun to gather all the Korean era mods together into one place. I am working on some Repaints for the B-29 Ai right now. Putting together a scenario with bomber bases, and fighter bases would be great fun! Not to mention heading up North to Mig Alley. Has anybody seen any Korean war era Aircraft Carrier Ai floating around on the forums anywhere? -Woog
  22. My thought is, that most of the WW2 era buildings are still there. 3/4 of the AIRFIELDS have disappeared, but then again they were grass, so they blend into the countryside anyway. In the case of the larger paved bomber fields, some of those made the cut, and still survive today. I don't think it is too much of a stretch to think the base map can just have more objects added to it to become a modern era map. Think along the lines of the ORBX scenery configurator. A separate interface that plugs in and out scenery objects as needed for your particular mission at hand. That would make a great little app actually. A "Time Machine Clock" where you could roll back the date, and it would automatically pull newer objects out of the mission planner. Then the only items available for use would be period pieces. -Woog
  23. I'm not sure if this has been stated elsewhere, (I could not find any info) When the Channel Map is released, will there be anything stopping us from flying modern aircraft in it?
  24. I'm calling this one "Brake Failure." Just a few details left to add, then you guys can add this the Warrior Flight. -Woog
