All cockpit commands are available for all planes, except Flamming Cliff. Thing is : the way DCS declares cockpit input and output are common to all plane, and they are the root to any export software. Afterward, it depends on what you use for your cockpit. Natively, SIOC support everyplane. DCS-BIOS and Helios are unfortunately more limited since they use their own export function, but it's nothing hard to tackle at user level. :thumbup:

Well.... Last time i checked, R3-R PK was around 0.9 against manoeuvering targets. :music_whistling: As a mig-21 driver, i'm more worried about bugs than about F-5E :P

It may comes down to variant. I'd rather have a consistent and COMPLETE setup of cold war plane, than mixed era stuff with partially guessed plane from various age

Taking twin is already useless. Plane is a flying brick with 4 missiles. They is no point taking 8 as even a 737 would BFM you.

1.5 is one of the worst application i've ever saw in multiplayer. Since 1.5 we experience server crash everywhere. Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's my wingmans, sometimes it's half of the server that get disconnected. We tested most of the known server. DCS israel, 159, RAF, MD..... Same thing happening. Don't put too much expectation in the 1.5.

It's global. all plane i've tested in 1.5 behave not like in 1.2 Most likely game parameter have changed, it looks like gravity is lower and energy degrade way less.

oh 90% of the time BVR works great. Shoot missile. Shoot another missile. Watch guy get defensive. Snake if he Rmax'ed a Aim-120. Shoot another missile. Watch the guy fleeing/exploding. If guy fleeing, Shoot another missile. thru those 60seconds, if ever plane did not got a missile in his ass, you are nearly WVR with great position. R73 will finish the job. haven't tested recent patch tho- I stopped su-27 when Mig-21 was released.

Most funny is that I have absolute opposite. Lonewolves are usually the more cooperative and people with squadron marks just don't even answer you. I guess it come down to communication skills. You should read the countless accounts of noobs and lone pilot participating greatly in the Buddy spike event. Other than that - I agree with others. Current chat sucks badly. They are good ideas behind but not practical in reality.

It's always better to have 5 sales at 100% than 10 at 30%. If they changed their discount level, it is because obviously they were going the wrong way. Everyone was waiting for sales to buy modules, they surely had a big drop in regular sales. 30% is already a good discount - and discount period are really frequent.

People should stop focusing on Aim-120. A simple snake manoeuver get rid of it. I dodge them in Su-25 ! I dodge them even with Mig-21 with his failed RWR. If you can't, that mean your defensive skills need way more training, or you were just in a situation resulting from poor tactical choices. Either way, it's not the aim-120 that is reason of the death, it's your skill. Aim-120 is just the final cause. ......And i don't consider myself as a good pilot. I'm way way down below the best pilots. I'm more ground pounder than fighter. Su-27 and its weaponry has a lot of advantages : 1/ You have a RWR which display range. F-15 jam is obsolete. 2/ You have EOS, allowing silent detection. 3/ You look cool and the blue cockpit is relaxing :D 4/ Weaponry allow first shot. 5/ R27 has mixed heads allowing multiple spectrum shots. 6/ R73. Sidewinder on steroids. 7/ Off boresight shoot. I mean way Off. Cobra + HMS = insta 150° Shooting. 8/ Best manoeuvrability of the game 9/ Did i said you look cool ? 10/ Datalink 11/ Simple and efficient displays, you don't get overflooded with data. 12/ Heaviest loadout 13/ Multiple sensor allow you to play with your target - ex. making him thing you lost look. To me, Eagle pilots should complain. They have a EASIER (not = better) SA thanks to a shitload of information available at hand. But beside their radar, they don't got advantage. It's a tricky fighter that require to be in medium range engagement, their Aim-120 is actually dangerous in his 1/3 of the max range, but very easy to defeat in the other phases. If you think all the mentionned things aren't much advantages, you definitively needs to train more or consider switching to F-15. I've been banged by eagles a shitload of time during those last 10 years. Once i started really study tactics and tacview files, and take advantage of my plane, i immediately turned my K/D ratio positive. Just in a matter of days. So back to my main point : Su-27 (and its weapons) is as good as F-15 (and its weapon). Anything else is lack of training, bad luck and DCS bugs. just check out tournaments and you'll see how good planes can be when pushed to their edge.

Let me end that debate straight away : Without taxes on civilians, they is not combat stuff. Now bring me that cessna :P

I used to fly the flanker a lot some time ago. I would just go head on against F-15C. It's just about firing first, and then never give a break to the F-15. Amraam are easy to defeat. Again, it'll go down to another useless F-15C/Su-27 balance debate.... both plane are even match, most of the tournaments who opposed F-15 to Su-27 were a real close match. This is hardfact -just check tacview for 104 tournaments...

Will the protection be changed to ED standards with F-14 ? I'm currently having computer issue, and it comes down to replace parts until it works. Eagle Dynamics Starforce version doesn't go crazy when you change RAM or GPU. With yours, simply swapping some RAM waste an activation. I really hope that all protection will get unified to a single same starforce version.
