dammit!%$$$#$$% I am so happy and pissed at the same time,, this caused me grief for many days, only to find the menu is all bugged ,,, same command is double in mine too! nightmare!!! thank you guys,, I know this thread is older, but finding it through an Internet search,, is great! how and why did this stupid thing happen to us! :cry:

ok, so in a video on Youtube, I can clearly see the full MPCD displays, I can't when I am in the aircraft because I don't have or use TrackIR, and the inside part is not visible with the labels of the buttons on the inside blocked by the stupid control panel that sits over it... so, even though I mapped the controls, apparently having direct access to seeing the MPCD's and buttons I can see if directly punching in the control buttons,, instead of using keyboard or HOTAS. Now I have photos of the buttons that are blocked and their commands. See what happens.

I will do another run through,,, then if needed a track will be posted.. to answer all the questions... yes, rdy is there... I have seen the in range several times, but no launch the locks seem a bit flaky... sometimes they lock other times no... some times they even lock on moving targets.. but I am really trying on any target I can... slewing the lockbox around with my old Saitek X52 Pro is pain (it takes a lot of moving in increments to move the box to the target).. maybe it has problems,,, but I fly lots of other aircraft without these problems.. I will try again very soon... yay! we have a new patch too! Thanx :joystick:

Update: Fixed ! =========== Cannot get the mavericks to pickle with the Harrier. I can drop LGB's, and other, but the Mavericks will not pickle and drop with the rAlt & Space keys. I tried 100x. Yes! 100x more or less. No clue why. I tried the training missions, DCS, and others. Still, do not work. :doh:

this is crazy slow! my up/dn speeds are 100 mb up/100mb down through my local isp…. but I am lucky to get 3 mb… off dcs speeds downloads... torrent... something is seriously throttled! it would benefit everyone if it were opened so we could move the files! IMHO.. Frustrated!!

while I find it useful and good, it also help extend my bonus points one more year.

my space key is also porked…. I mean really,,,, someone didn't see this before, or just a few of us are unlucky?????? up for hours looking to see what craziness is going on... and see that I am not alone....

apparently no one else has this problem, I have asked others.... not sure why it is messed up for me only in the interactive training. in OB, haven't tried the release version yet.

When I ran the update with Open Beta, and the training missions, the weapons will not fire in the F/A-18C A-A training. The weapons work fine in the regular missions. I could not fire the A-A missiles in the training missions with the F/A-18C in the latest OB.. I looked to see if there was a thread for these issues, and could not find any posts. :joystick:

Yes, we definitely need a solution, without this aircraft we have a large gaping hole in our defenses.... :helpsmilie:

I went after some migs and ended up with the engines so badly damaged it would not longer fly after running them open for a while.... and lost so much power the aircraft would no longer stay up.... it was no more then say 15 minutes of hard running... with occasional backing off... also some climbing because of mountains... was about 15k to 20k feet.... :joystick:

we payed for Bump Mapping with Matrox, but it was never finished,, got screwed... but, I used the Matrox video with special features for video rendering with both hardware and software... :joystick:

In the past, I was able to see the target a whole lot better with the scope... now it is just to hard to see and lock targets. The little opening in the crosshairs was much bigger, now I just can't see with such a small opening, to lock and unlock targets. The contrast and brightness are harder to use, need much more adjustment than before. is there a way that they can be put back the way they were before the updates and patches made them harder to use? I could not get hide control stick to work in the Skyhawk. I don't have track-IR, so I cannot see around the stick. is it not working, will it ever be able to use 'hide control stick' in this aircraft ? Thanx

I was doing the same, and I decided to change to another A-A missile after already obtaining lock on an enemy. I changed to the other, it was either like the ones you used or reverse.... anyways, it kept lock during change and I fired. I don't remember being able to keep a lock while changing weapons before. I would have to look up the missile info. As far as I knows sparrows, by themselves, have never had this capability. But I never got to work with the 120/x series in real life. I thought TWS hadn't been implemented yet in F/A-18C ?

Maybe it only got all messed up with Saitek.... I don't know... but it's all messed up... all the other aircraft are ok..???

I have a 2 stage trigger and followed directions, and I probably wrote down the wrong things, but I know it is correct as it works right in release version... plus when and if the Saitek HOTAS doesn't work I can press the keyboard.... and the keys don't work in OB either for the crosshairs and Mavericks.. sorry, keep going around and around and wrote the wrong thing (my bad), getting dizzy,, from explaining, that it isn't me.... like I said works in release version, so the keys are entered correctly. I guess I should have posted photo earlier...

in the release version, in either user made missions, or practice missions that came with the Viggen, the RB-75 work, period. In the OB version, the RB-75 will not lock in the crosshairs, and thus will not fire. The crosshairs do not open and close and lock a target. The practice missions with the RB-75, one with enemy tanks, or the practice mission called Beach something,, where you hit ship and targets on a beach. basically with the practice missions you can just set the weapon selector for RB-75, and fix the target to lock it. Not much to do as it is already setup as airstart all that has to be done is select the weapon. Work just fine in release version. Same as every other weapons. But not so in the OpenBeta. I uninstalled Openbeta Viggen module, copied over files and folders, compared the file line by line. I give up. I can't do anything else short of nuking the whole computer and starting over. Some file I am unaware of has a problem. I am giving up on this issue. Maybe it will be ok, or when our squad goes back to release version, or I will just not use this weapon. I have a zillion other aircraft to fly. I am not saying it has a bug, I am just saying something in my computer is porked (only in DCS OpenBeta Viggen module) and I don't know why or where. I just wanted to make that clear. I don't have any mods installed. I have also ran repair for the Viggen module and OpenBeta. Nothing helped with this issue. The crosshairs use to open with a large gap, to lock a target with T1 Fix. Then the gap became to a tiny gap during some patches maybe 6 months ago. I think it still worked back then, but shortly after that the issues started. Oh yeah, tried different versions of the RB-75. Tried 2 instead of 4 on the pylons. Tried only the weapons no extra fuel loaded. No mixing of different weapons. :joystick: The Swede's should have bought our F-16's :doh:

In my Viggen, for the last few months I cannot get the RB-75 Mavericks to work for me in the Open Beta version. In release version they work. I have removed the files for the joystick, keyboards, etc, to have it rebuild files. I have compared files line by line with release version, have copied over release version, and have deleted the Viggen from Open beta, and re-installed it. Nothing fixes the problem. I don't know what else to do.. I have not tested all weapons, but those that I have tested work. No problems in release version of DCS and the Viggen. Anyone know of anything else I might try? thanx :joystick: btw, I have had the Viggen and flown it since it was released, is that 1 or 2 years? Anyways, have flown it a while now... I saw this problem a few months ago and thought it would eventually get fixed with time and patches...
