    Game Flight Mode

    From time to time I let play my little (6 years old) nephew with DCS, of course in game mode. He's having fun, and I have not to install warthunder or other games. So I say let's keep it, simple very simple but keep it.
  7. In realtà non c'è una voce ufficiale. Dal forum russo sembra ( dico sembra perchè anche per i russofoni - si potrà dire? - la frase era alquanto ambigua ) che la ED abbandonerà l'MSAA perchè con il Deferred Shading e le DX11 è una tecnica obsoleta. L'ambiguità nasce dal fatto che Czich ha detto qualcosa tipo "tanto ormai tra poco saremo tutti a 4k e a 4k l'anti aliasing non serve". Altri invece ci hanno letto, prendendo spunto da altri thread in russo, che l'anti-aliasing in futuro non sarà più una opzione che si possa scegliere ma sarà integrata al processo di rendering necessario per il deferred shading. Le parole chiave sono "futuro", "4k", e "deferred shading". Quella che fa più paura è "futuro", viste le tempistiche medie ED.
  8. In the "Stat" second page, under "Throttle", you can set the slew speed for the TAD. The higher the number, the slower the slew will be. Give it a try. Default is 4.0, with the TM Warthog HOTAS I use it at 1.0
  9. They are like the ones we already have: very blurry, not realistic at all. The flying particles are nice though.

  13. Well, the async management is already there, I don't see a "major overhaul" work to do. I suspect that behind the scenes ED is already working on solutions like these to increase performance. or they are waiting for consumer grade computer processing power stepping up through the years so no further optimization will be needed :lol: (joking of course)
  14. I'm wondering, if this is possible using two physical machines communicating each other on top of a TCP/IP connection, wouldn't it be possible for the devs making this type of off-load in the same machine using spare CPU core(s)? Wouldn't it be so much faster?

  18. Let's wait and see, new weather system is in the pipeline for 2.5 (btw, there's a more recent video available of the unigine cloud system)
  19. Map assets are nice, lots of detail. The shadowing system of 2.5 is not yet ready though
  20. Also with "flat shadows" the terrain shadow color is different from the shadows on the aircraft.
