  1. Interested in this too :) thanks! Also it would be nice a comparison between active ground units in the sim with 3 main "steps": 200 , 400 and 600 units and see the different performances on cpu/gpu
  2. Nice, colours are yet a little too yellowish but its shaping up very well from an high altitude perspective!
  3. +1
  4. Adding a performance worsening
  5. Very nice!! :)
  6. The sparks are now very similar to those on the video. The DCS effect misses ground dust smoke and blast though.... still WIP i guess :)
  7. Forest trees are still buggy, this issue was posted on the forum a month ago by me and other users, but never got the "REPORTED" status as far as I know. It's a serious issue that make some parts of the map a low-fps-high-lag-stutterfest experience. This is an Open Beta, so this type of issue can popup and has to be dealt with in time.... hopefully before the Beta period ends :D
  8. Nope, look closer ;)
  9. Yep! Now big AI battles with smoke trails, explosions and dozens of AI units on screen, don't touch fps at all. 60 fps rock solid. 1.5.0 it dropped to 20/30 with the same scenes. The only thing that bring my fps down now is overcast cloud layer transition, it must be something still in the process of optimization.
  10. With the 1.5.1 update I have a great performance increase, even with large scale AI battles on screen my fps are stable at 60. Nice, this is the right direction indeed!
  11. To me appears that the new "large" option is larger than former "enlarge"
  12. It didn't help, trees at low altitude still cause lag/stutter even without shadows. From 6000 feet and above, or in area without trees at low altitude, smooth as butter (with no AI in sight).
  13. Exactly
  14. Trees, in my rig, below AGL 6000', I don't know why but are dropping fps down a lot and introducing a great controls lag. I also created a thread about it, with some pretty solid feedback about the issue, but the issue seems to be not reported yet; I think there is a bug priority list to be observed. I know this is a beta... but until the issue is been dealt with by de devs, it would be nice to have an option to hide the trees and make the beta playable at low altitudes in forest areas. Pretty please? :D
  15. Perfectly fine is something that don't look weird and unrealistic. Compared to other visual things (trees, roads, hangars, distant planes), the lights cone as they are rendered now are truly out of contest. A fact, and in my opinion an issue. Inviato dal mio Nexus 4 utilizzando Tapatalk
  16. Report: in the lastest hotfix the issue is still here
  17. Just reporting: the issue is still here in hotfix 3
  18. Except bloom. If you look an object masking a powerful light source, you can see light diffraction around its edges. If not overdone (like in outerra), it can be a realistic improvement. As well as shining light points in metal/glass, which release some "rays" around them, like this: In the image, the effect is of course overdone by the camera lens, but the eye too sees an effect like this, just less evident.
  19. It would be very useful for multiplayer radio silent manouvers.
  20. The tanker wings seems to spontaneously flex a little bit reacting to air flow
