  1. Well, I'm not the one who expressed this ambition. Because I perfectly know that reality, in a 2019 software, HAS to be approximated with some trade-offs. Something can be simulated, other things just must be mocked as convincing as modern tech can get (especially visual ones). I'm not going further here, there's a whole other topic about this and references on other game engines and sims. Out :)
  2. ED stated several times that their ambition is not doing better or same than other combat sims, but their ambition is to model real life. This line of thinking of course reflects on customers ambitions, and that's fair to me.
  3. I'll give it a try, thank you
  4. As I wrote few replies above, in-game I have MSAA 2x on.
  5. Yep, I had MFAA on "activated" and Anti-Aliasing option on 2x (it's just above the "enhance application settings" option). EDIT: the nVidia control panel is in italian, options are the same though.
  6. Yep that's what I did, I set MSAA in game to 2x and MFAA to 2x also
  7. Nope, not working for me as per screenshots (focus on the taxi lines). https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3513878&postcount=2 <- here, the last two slices on the right, mfaa is not making any difference there either. :(
  8. I tried it multiple times with no results at all, that's because I wrote what I wrote. I'm gonna try this (again)
  9. If someone is pointing out something that he/she does not like, and this something is measurable and unbiased and demonstrated with images, I don't see why someone else feel the need to jump in the thread and shout "to me it's ok!". Can't you see how non-constructive this attitude is? It's like Gierasimov or other community members have no rights to express their opinion (expressed in a very polite and constructive manner, by the way). This attitude is rude, gentlemen. Feel free to read and pass by if something don't bother you. Sorry for the OT.
  10. This is absolutely new, maybe something is changed behind the scenes lately. I'll give it a try, thank you for reporting
  11. MFAA has no effect (except placebo). This sim needs badly a proper antialiasing (even with MSAA 4x you get jaggies all the way). To snipe down the idiot incoming comment "I don't need it", let's say "I need" proper antialiasing :)
  12. I'm probably in the minority side here, but I would like to read more on newsletters and other ED media that this is actively worked on, a percentage of the state of completion or such. This is so high priority for a flight sim - especially for a company that states that its model is real life. Please, please, please put all efforts you can in this task.
  13. FLIR simulation is a pretty big field of modern avionics simulation, some news about it would be welcome.
  14. Thank you, weather simulation and visualization is a top priority concern in a flight sim, so this is a good piece of news.
  15. The WT simulation is a great addition, I just experienced it last night in multiplayer during takeoffs, landings and AAR. Good work!
  16. I have the same issue here. In the server browser, even after few refresh, the servers I'm interested in are showing red 300ish ms ping. So they refuese me to connect (your ping is too high! message). When I manage to connect via IP, in-game the ping is around 70ms. Something strange is happening with the browser mechanism.
  17. It would be very useful to be able to tweak more graphics settings (especially shadows and visibility) while in sim.
  18. Allora inverti gli assi su DCS
  19. +1 (I know about snap views, but it's a pretty uncomfortable way of doing this)
  20. Great software usability improvement. Thank you ED team!
  21. Outstanding idea, keep up the good work!
  22. I would like the first 5 points of your list + Proper antialiasing HRTF positional sound Full support for captoglove or similar Procedural generation of terrains between high detailed map to cover all earth
  23. Night lightning need some work with no doubt. One step at a time, hopefully we'll get there soon.
  24. Wow! Thank you, great news!
