  1. I was under the impression that Shift-J only worked in exterior views and any cockpit shake was baked in so to speak with some of the custom options allowing you to shut it off or pick the intensity.

  4. Comms and Nav I would guess and of course lookout for enemy threats etc etc. Perhaps making a grocery list of what to buy when they get back to base, what movie to rent at the video store (80's scenarios only).
  5. you simply select a target with the right short and then disengage with the down short. Perhaps I don't understand your question fully? As far as infantry it seems silly to me to have single soldiers in the first place, would be better to have infantry "squads" of 10 soldiers and this would equate to one targe and would scale better.
  6. If you have a large amount of collective pulled I believe the generators can be forced offline until the RPM increased to the point the generators are back online, perhaps this is what is occuring?
  7. The number one rule is that the pilot has to be very stable, otherwise you are wasting your time. You need to give Petro a long run in so he can stabilize first and even then he sometimes gets twitchy. I've found that the mouse is the most accurate controller and allows fine tuning, also turning off the little red arrow helps a lot as I find it distracting. One thing I've found that is quite a bit of fun is to actually fly the helicopter from the gunner cockpit, get it very stable and then switch to the missle sight. With proper trimming sometimes you get more stability from not dealing with Petro's flying in the first place. usually very light rudder inputs is all that are needed if trimmed properly.
  8. I know little about the helmets normally worn by Hind crews, do most of them have visors as standard? I think it would kinda cool to see some of the old school cloth helmets as well to give it that 80's feel as well.

I believe that it was meant to be added as requested by some users that wanted to use actual toggle switches which is fine however it not only dosen't work for them now it also broke it for the rest of us I'm sure it will be sorted, hopefully in the next update, just glad it wasn't just my install or keybinds.
  10. +1 I agree the fans do crowd an already limited space and though much effort was put into modeling them many examples of the HIND have them removed, so it would be nice if they were optional.

  12. If anything the AI gunner is almost too good at picking out targets on my install, I wish you the best in finding a solution but I can't replicate what you are describing on of the maps so far. Can you create a trk file to post here so we can see exactly what is happening for you? perhaps it's a keybind that you have a conflict with or got changed?
  13. It's a major annoyance because from the gunner's position it's critical to get those doors closed immediately after the attack run finishes to avoid damage to the sight, and I hate having to reach up to the keyboard to do it right now
  14. At speed 150kph and up it feels very stable to me, however low speed and hover the pitch seems very sensitive and it tends to become more "rocking horse" like. It has a lot of room to grow and perhaps there will be more changes down the line. I dumped the curves for my Warthog a long time ago because of the lack of response that I felt. Over time with practice the smoothness is something you learn with each flight model.
  15. I suppose this is all on the dev's end and will have to be fixed in the upcoming updates?
  16. well not exactly sure what we are supposed to be seeing changed, the one subtitle I did notice that wasn't there before is where it shows what speed you have selected, ie "200" "250".

I"ve tried a couple more times on Marianas, had Petro look for targets on the beaches as well as on the golf courses, he sees them every time, I am seeing no change in his behavior in that regard. Now somtimes he isn't giving me the menu to select which target I want him to lock onto, he just picks one. I am using US Targets such as the ammo trucks and the LV7's, perhaps try some differen't target types?
  18. Yes close shots won't work unless perhaps you aim your gunsight at the target which seems to keep the missle from flying up after initial launch.
  19. Tried Marianas and still no issue, Petro picked out and tracked ground targets, I don't see any change in behavior on my system with the newest beta patch from 6/30/2021.
  20. I just flew a mission in the editor on the Syria map and it seems normal to me, he is picking out and engaging ground units with the latest Beta patch. I havent' tried Marianas yet though.
  21. After the latest update the "observe" toggle switch was changed to accomodate those who are using actual toggle switches, unfortunately the new options are greyed out for assigning to HOTAS. It's a critical keybind as you have to turn of the sight to keep from damaging it on every attack run so I'm hoping this gets corrected quickly or one of the members here will add the keybinds themselves to solve the issue.
  22. I deleted my warthog profiles for the MI-24 under the saved games directory but still the only bindable key is the "observe" button which is only acting as an on and not an off button.
  23. Since the last update today I can't bind any of my joystick keys to "observe on/off" it only can be bound to the pre-update "observe" which now acts as "observe on". Any idea how to get this working again?
