Thise one is actually going back. Slew is broken, when I slew along the Y or X axis, the other one is moving too. Could not fix it via deadzones and in the Device Analyzer you could see it very clearly in numbers. :/ Hope this will go over quick, I CAN'T FLY WITH THE OLD JOYSTICK NOW! The manual input in the LASTE system is not modded as was stated by ED. There was this one patchnote that suggested that something was done in the direction but nobody from ED ever stated to my knowledge that manual LASTE input has now ANY effect. Please if there is no official statement - accept it. This horse has been beaten to death and dispelling the LASTE myth the first time around was hard enough. On topic: The first scenario comes to mind, you have 3 tanks close together, but some strelas around it - good scenario for CCRP drop of the 105er. Second scenario, you have 6 tanks in a column, that maybe is even moving - wonderful for 97's. On a side note, when I started of course I couldn't hit anything if I didn't use CCRP. 105ers were the best choice because I could actually kill something. (Not counting mavs) But destroying stuff with CCIP CBU drops is just so rewarding, I really only take 105ers if I know the scenario dictates it (threat). Sidenote: Never forget to change the HoF in the DSMS inventory or otherwise those nice bombs suck.

Thats fine, but for everyone like you, are 10 like us who would fly anything as long as the quality is on the DCS level.

Hey sorry for the necro! I noticed a problem with the Tankers, or atleast i think i did. When the Tanker RTBs the message suggests a new one will spawn/start, but the TACAN freq (on blue 1y) will stay on the old tanker who lands at an airfield.

@palker: Yeah, like the others said thats just no way to behave when asking somebody for help. Are you just raging here like a kid or do you actually want help? I certainly know how much StarForce sucks, but for ED or rather their awesome products I will gladly bear with it. (This sounds like some major fanboy shit, but I eyed the A10C for many months and starforce was one of the reasons I didn't buy it, totally regret that wait now) So, if you want to actually get help here, there is certain information that we need or else you could just write: "HALP I HAVE PROBLEM! WAT I DO?" :) (Sys specs/os, version numbers, detailed description what you did, in what order etc. for starters, like with anything you want help with over the internet!) I am really really tired right now but since you probably turned off most other (actually competent) people I will try: -How did you delete the old version? Just deleted the files or with the deinstaller/windows? Did you check if there were any files left over? Did you install the DCS:W installation in a new directory? (I hear you can use both, the old 1.1.1.1 ver & DCS:W on the same computer, but that stuff was before my time) -Did you actually download the new DCS:WORLD (5,86GB) installation (v1.2.5.16508 ) from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/ ? Have you installed the A10C addon - from: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/dcs_a10c_warthog/ ? -When you start DCS:World via the start menu or game exe, does the updater start and patch you to the mentioned above version? -Did you try the repair function from the startmenu? (Maybe it will fix something corrupted with the 2 installs) There is also the option to open up a ticket from the ED support. You might want to work on the wording&problem description there...! Sadly I can't give you any advice how to fix your attitude, if your mother couldn't fix it, nobody on the internet can. Let us hear how it is going! P.S: You throw money at EA, you are evil. Use Steam or the ED store! :D

I recently got the TM Hotas warthog too and would love to see some profiles from the people around to get some idea how to do this smart.

In the FC3 options->controls->F-15C->communications menu there is an hotkey for "receive mode". (rShift+\) Does anyone know what it does? I didn't see it in any of the other planes options.

Was a long time 'enemy' of steam, but caved in sometime this year and have to say I am very happy with it. We already use the starforce DRM, I don't think steams online policy is anymore invasive than that. I realize many people (like me) are not all that thrilled by the massive amount of steamtards, but from ED's perspective this is a gold mine. Just think, if only 500 people buy something from ED on steam, this was already worth it. Hell even through me, everyone in my friendlist will always see me in DCS:W and will have to check at one point wtf I am doing there 24/7. :)

Turn off the engines and use the radio menu (Ground Crew) to repair. Please note that if you turn off the engines you will lose power on your computers and lose the alignment(the CDU stuff where you have to wait ~4mins). To get around this there are two ways: 1. Before turning off the last engine turn on the APU +Gen. 2. Ask the Ground Crew (same menu) for power. Check your options for the radio menu key, for me on german keyboard layout its # but should be something else for you.

This is the best attempt to 'control' the steam masses I have seen so far. Thank you very much!

^THIS!! So much this! Not being able to change controls ingame is a huge design flaw. This is just some big noobfilter that shouldn't be there in the first place. The biggest problem getting other people into DCS for me are controls. Doing something in the A10C with a noob is not the problem, setting someones HOTAS up is. I think setting controls up took me around 3 days, everytime I learned something I noticed that control X was missing or should be placed somewhere else.
