Care to elaborate on that? First time I am hearing of this, claims that OR would infringe on TIR copyrights also sound very absurd.

The best advise regarding those things I read on these forums: "Don't even look at it wrong!" But its fine taped also... :P Like others said, don't buy another, that is wasted money - you will breathe on it at somepoint and it will fall apart. =)

I think its toxic to even think about adding something new to the 'GC/CA' side of things before we have CAv1.5. (Or possibly CA 3.1...) Don't get me wrong, I own all DCS modules and even learned to like CA. But it is by far the weakest of all modules and any build up on that without going back to fix the 'core' is wasted time. I am having big hope for the promised 'CA v1.5' but I don't see much reason to start a Ship-CA module/addon as long as CA is not fixed up to certain level.

If you are getting constant/regular disconnects this is unrelated. Change the connection setting in the MP browser to LAN. I still see many people playing, but it's undeniable that some people get fed up with constant MP issues. For myself I can only say that after a days work flying 20 minutes to the target zone just to crash is not very high on my list. On the other hand there is no real alternative to DCS which will lure me back anytime I rage quit. Just like that dog you kick and chase away I will sit here next patch, with big expectant eyes, happy to see you no matter how bad you treat me... wagging my.. wait stop!

I can't answer that. But Program C dumps a lot of flares very fast, try that against a strela for example, you will be pleased. :)

I believe lots of stuff is not even mapped to keybindings at all. So even if you could remember absolut every keybinding you still would have to click sometimes.

How many forgotten landing gears do you get? Not that I have ever done anything stupid like that... repeatedly... *cough* @Archon, lol you have no idea! Once somebody tried 30 minutes to explain to me how the different radios worked till he had the idea that maybe, I didn't realize there are 3 different hotkeys for each one on the HOTAS! :D Checklists, warning lights and the manual are your best friends. Also make sure you read up on the CDU Alignment (either manual, here on the forums or youtube) that can be a bit confusing for newcomers too.

^ Went back because of Slew Control problems. New one: 19195 is going back because of slew control AND grease on the stick. (The first Joystick moved so well I nearly cried when I used it for the first time, in comparision this one is an insult!)

I had something weird last night too. In SP I did some practice with my new HOTAS and practiced landings. When I turned off the left engine and did a succesful single engine landing I was unable to spool up the left engine again. Even after motor mode for several minutes, with both engines down & APU on, i was unable to get it starting again. Normally it should have run back up normally? Sadly I didn't try repairing so a track would be worthless I guess, gonna try this again soon. Atleast it was fun to start/stop the engines with the throttle! xD

I had the same issue, sent it back for warranty and got it back yesterday after a month. On the serial number I can see they just sent me another throttle unit. The Problem ist not as bad as with the last one, BUT STILL THERE! (I might go insane here) When I move the X or Y axis always the other one lashes out too. I hope this time I can fix it with dead zones (last time didn't work) because the problem is less tangible than the last time. Anyone got tips here, or maybe some even got further experience with this? Worst of all is, now the super smooth joystick is one of those 'grease' failures... I cam certainly not doing that myself after just buying it, the last one (joystick not throttle) worked much better. (Same room on the left throttle on both products I had btw)

Ist gerade der Wurm drinnen, ich bin mir nicht sicher ob es mit dem heutigen patch nochmal geändert wurde. Versuch mal nicht zu klicken sondern nur das mausrad zu benutzen. ILS hat auch ein paar probleme atm soll aber mit 1.2.7 gefixt werden.

Gute Nachricht am rande: Das ermöglicht wohl bald das ändern der Steuerung ohne in das Hauptmenü zurückkehren zu müssen. Gab es da nicht schon WIP bilder?

This is the most common problem I have with teaching people how to use the radio. (I fell into that trap myself ;D) The way it works is that everyone of your radios has a different Hotkey (In the Controls under HOTAS) which is placed on your throttle. I think you can't click it and have to map it to a hotkey or remember the default keybindings. You can only talk over UHF for example, when you use the UHF radio button. On the TOP right above the radio menu you should see the name of your respective radio that you are trying to use.

I want to voice my support for new weather effects too. There is so much nice stuff for that kind of thing in the cockpit that is sadly not modded.

I think we need to calculate that number against the people that ragequit because of the nightmare that is setting up your controls for the first time as a noob. Setting up the controls is the biggest problem I have with new players. "Hey there is this awesome sim, you will really have fun, just have patience for an hour while I walk you through the controls!" Get rid of the 32bit PLEASE!

Haven't seen that yet, but units often get stuck on bridges - I need to spawn into them and move them a bit to fall down the bridge. Sometimes they fall on their back and just get up and drive of like nothing else. But they can't get over a bridge! xD
