I meant that my ps eye lens is not locked in blue or red dot position like you've asked, but I managed to lock it somewhere in between to get my lost focus back. ;) I can't compare with TIR, but I had no problems so far clicking anything, even CDU in A-10. I'm using facetracknoir as I had some problems in opentrack with translation jittering and couldn't manage to get rid of it.

I'm using neither. The camera got a little blurry after filter removal and I managed to get it back to focus by locking it in certain spot near the red dot. But with a good filter and not overly bright areas behind you, focus shouldn't be a problem with headtracking.

I wouldn't bother with painting at this point since they said they'll update the external model for DCS L-39 release, which might be not that far away.

As far as I know, there's only PAC-2, so stabilization when firing. When A-10A PFM came out, it had no stabilization whatsoever and the gun was pulling the nose up, so they added it an update later...

AI taking control after connecting was the case when the F-15 had old flight dynamics (SFM). Now with PFM, you have to fly it all the way.

I would try select interface "enable both". And I see you're using facetracking, so unfortunately I don't know much about that as I'm using point tracker.

In game protocol settings (freetrack 2.0), there's a Start dummy TrackIR.exe checkbox, is it on? Or mess with the "select interface" setting underneath.

There's no definitive list, people like different stuff, but if it helps you I'm using: Ricardo's cockpit, not only it looks cool but I can also read the panels better. Proper neck mod (great for trackir) ^Those are probably used by majority of pilots... Bigger HUD font if you're blind like me, but don't overdo it or the letters will overlap too much, I'm using 62. I also like GAU-8 dispersion mod, but I don't know if it's compatible with multiplayer. Snoopy wpn repaint. Eddie's CMS programs. RAE mod is quite popular as well.

Those filters shipped with delan are for the webcam to use with opentrack or ftnoir, not TIR.

So I just tested my newly built headtracker. Cam is taped onto the monitor because I ordered the mount from retarded vendor who can't deliver on time, led clip looks like something you might find in the trash, I need to figure out better filter than a floppy disk, but IT WORKS. Only spent like 250 hours tweaking the curves back and forth. How could I fly with the goddamn pov hat. That is all.
