  1. It's too dark because most probably you are running DCS with deferred shading on... With the 2.5 release version I have tested again with and without, and for me is clear, deferred shading off! A lot of the cockpits are unusable at dusk / night. in my opinion. The Maverick display in the Harrier for example, is so dark that you can't see anything. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460

  3. Same problem here.....
  4. I don't see any screenshot... but yes, it is a known problem, I have explained already thoroughly... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460

    2.5 and ATC

Hi Razo+r and SHaDoW STeP BG, Well setting the correct frequencies in the ME did the trick, thank you very much for the help. Though this has not much to do with what I intend under "easy communication" but anyway. No, no "auto" with the white text, but as soon as the right channel is selected, the Airport to which it refers turns white. Though, the text appears in BLACK, and sometimes in WHITE, regardless if it works or not. Anyway... This leaves us with the QFE question. In other simulators I remember, like FSX and X-Plane, the barometric pressure is ALWAYS given by the ATC in QNH (e.G. 2992) because this is a number that you indeed can set on the altimeter. The QFE number can not be set on the altimeter, because it is always out of scale and requires calculations to be "converted" to a number that it can be set on the altimeter (e.G. 2992)... Is it not so?

    2.5 and ATC

Well, I did not change it in-flight with the MIG-15, so you mean setting the presets radios in ME? And what about the MIG-21?

    2.5 and ATC

Hi, thanks for the reply... But why does it work with the MIG-15? I mean, easy communication.... And what about the QFE? And the Black and White text?
  9. Nobody seems to bother, so I thought I have a look at the ATC in 2.5 last version….. And yes, I know it is still beta. And I know that for some planes one should use easy communications off, but if there is an option easy communication, it should work, as it does for about the half of the planes. All tests made with easy communications and in Nevada, so with mostly payware planes and scenery. The radios obviously always on. No station reply, not working: Viggen BF-109 F-86 FW-190 MIG-21 P-51 Spit All stations reply, working perfectly: A-10C Harrier F-5 Mirage Mig-15 SU-25T Sometimes the text appears in BLACK, and sometimes in WHITE, regardless if it works or not. Does anybody know why? I believe the atmospheric pressure should be given QNH and not QFE, or am I mistaken? And anyway, it is given completely different for similar height airports, like Nellis and McCarran. Or also depending on which plane you are. Screenshots included. Please advise….
  10. Indeed... So, for me, for the time being until they sort this issue out, is deferred shading off. I fly mostly at dusk, and I don't mind the trees, as I use mostly Nevada. And anyway, 90% of the time is spent inside the cockpit, and it seems that most people agree that the majority of the cockpits are far better with DS off.
  11. Yeah.. a Donkey Kong game from the 80's had HDR sun effects and shadows in the cockpit.... So then what? Switching DS off for the night flights, switching it on for the day again, each time waiting ages for the shaders to rebuild? No way... I'd expect a solution from ED and developers for this problem, which does not only concern the free Caucasus, but all the payware sceneries and planes.
  12.
  13. Of course OFF! And not only for VR. Performance is not an issue, but, as you say, the cockpits and their illumination at dusk / dawn night are far superior with DS off. And where do we spend the most of the time? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460
  14. Stupid of me, joystick calibration off. Problem resolved, thanks for your help.
  15. Hello, well thank you for the reply. Attached screenshot, a new miz I just made, and the log. I've been flying the Mirage since it came out, and never had problems with the autopilot. Since the last 2.5 update of yesterday, the autopilot does not work anymore. Test Mirage.miz dcs.zip
  16. Is it jut me or after today's update the autopilot of the mirage is not working? Jut marks a yellow light and won't hold altitude. :helpsmilie:
  17. Exactly.
  18. Well you guys, just switch that DS off for the time being as I do. I think most people agree that the cockpits are FAR better with DS off, and anyway this is the place where we spend most of our time, and not outside the plane looking at the nice trees and scenery. Moreover, the sun blending effects are also far nicer with DS off, as DS does not allow HDR to be on.
  19. I OBVIOUSLY AGREE..... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460
  20. Indeed... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460
  21. Indeed... and you have to load / activate the liveries dialog every time you start model viewer. It used to be not so..... Al in all, quite a cumbersome program, needs much improvement. But I guess they have their hands full with all the issues in 2.5.
  22. Well, I haven't had any memory leaks lately, after the latest patches and hotfixes 2.5 xxxx, in spite of the disappearing objects in Nevada, and the freezing Mig-21.
