Newbie on Mi-8 requesting hints and tips ...
Sacarino111 replied to TOViper's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Good one! I´m taking it for myself. Thanks. Saca111 -
Splendid! In conclusion, we need (badly) japaneese assets plus some fighter module (zoer, Oscar...). No talk about WWII carriers, also needed. In deed. my doctor has the same opinion as I do... Wishlist? Saludos Saca111 Saca111

HI, I don´t want to be misunderstood, or be "finiki" (is that a word?), but I could remember Zero attacking Pearl Harbor. I have just checked Internet and found that A6M2 Zero model 11 Zeke took part in that attack, as well utilised from ground bases in helpeing the fleet or the japanes army As I am not any kind of expert in that matter, maybe I mistakenly thought that the Zeke was some kind of navalised Zero. Not arguing, just wanting to explain that if there was a naval one, it would be a geat add to DCS, along with some japanese assests, like carrier os Val etc. for the Marianas islands. Kindly. Saludos. Saca111

Yes, Absolutelly right, in my opinion... And yes, the Zero is missing in DCS, without a doubt. Witch model, year or navy or not navy is another point, but there should be Zero, specially if the Marianas Islands are comming our way, plus some Japaneese assets. I have spoken... Saludos. Saca111

Sacarino111 replied to Icarus1976's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi. Also, did you started up the plane, or did an autostart? Maybe you forgot to stop the APU or similar, or moved up or down some fuel valves... Just a guess... Saludos. Saca111 -

Hi mate. Great help. I did was you said and the thing went to normal again. I did two things, in deed; one what you said, and the other one was to eliminate all the sound files (non .miz files) from the mission foldes. Can´t tell what did the trick, but I got it to normal again. Thanks again. Saludos. Saca111

TGP always losing lock when rolling out
Sacarino111 replied to bkthunder's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Hi. To me, it is a bug, a faillure in the TGP workout. Try with less bank when turning; you will se that the TGP snaps out of target when you start rolling out, with the targte "over your head", so the GP is looking "upwards" and has to look "downward", at the same time it is rolling level. As said, try rolling with less bank. Saludos. Saca111 -
HI. Good one! This could also be a lot of help, but he still needs do "unmodify" Pinki from the Profiler. And if he unistalls the profiler, he will loose the profiles for other modules. Saludos. Saca111

Hi. Don t take my words for absolute truth, but I think that when you open the joy windows config/test, the profile is overriden and the Pinkie will appear a a normal button, so you can check if it is working or not. The trick, IMO, is to change the profile so the pinky is not set as a modifier. To do so, open the Logitek/Saitek profiler ("X52 Professional H.O.T.A.S." icon on desktop), create a new profile so you can do testings without scewing up things, and at the top tof the configuraction screen, click on "view", so you can have all the assignements at once, and at the top of the 4th, 5th and 6th column you should see something like "mode1+Pinkie", "mode 2+Pinkie" and "mode 3+Pinkie", with a cross to the right of the tab. click on that cross to delete that modifier (you will be prompted to afirm your move, click on yes). After that, your joy will have a "button 6", but you will not be able to use it as "an out of DCS" modifier. I mean, all the fonctions you have doubled for a button with that Pinkie pressed will no longer be available. It is up to you to decide if it is worth it or not. For me, personally, I keep it as a "Saitek modifier", so I can have more assignements for each button, but if you want this one to be recognized by DCS, this is the way... I hope I could make myself clear, and help you. Saludos. Saca111

How to assign TDC slew axes?
Sacarino111 replied to dporter22's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi. Be aware, there are two places to bind the TDC box in axis setup; one is "normal" and the other one is something like "mouse control", or similar (my game is in spanish, so I can t tell how it looks in your lenguage). - Normal one: "throttle designator control (horizontal/vertical axis) - Mouse one: "TCD : horiz/vertical) slew (mouse) Both "translated directly from my screem" Hope it helps. Saludos. Saca111 -
Hi. I have the X52PRO, not the same but very simlar. The pinky problem looks like you have a profile loaded where the pinky buttons works as mofifier, set up int he SAitek/Logitek profile editor. Clera any profile, be sure you have no one loaded and the pinky should appear as button 6. At least that is what happens in my case. Sañudos. Saca111

Switch Dialog not working
Sacarino111 replied to Csgo GE oh yeah's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi. I m afraid this feature works ONLY for FC3 planes. In "normal" planes, it depends on a) easy coms on or off b) if easy coms off, the radio you are tunned to; if you are tunned to the AWACS frequency, you will hear all messages. Only escape is to lower the volume and wait for a call for you , and then up with the volume again so you can hear properly the call. Sorry. Saludos. Saca111 -

can not reproduce CCRP staying on the edge of HUD
Sacarino111 replied to rtphillips370's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi. So: Couldn t reproduce it. I started normally, good allignement, INS to NAV (talking about F16). TGP and HUD working as usual (witch means they don t coincide in space, but it is a known bug). The only way to reproduce something similar is to screw up my allignement: INS selector to other than NAV. this way, the CCRP line is in any possible place in space. The HUD is also borked, no tadpole, attitude lines off and so on... I could resolve it by doing an IFA: 0) Set level flight and get your heading. 1) INS knob no IFA. 2) In DED, type the magnetic heading you ar at, but DON T PRESS ENTER, keep it hightlighted. 3) Wait for about 3 min 35 sec and the system should stabilize, with more or less accurate data, depending on the accuracy of the heading entered and the level flight you had for that lapse of time. 4) INS knob back to NAV. Check it out, I hope it helps. If not, then no clue for you (wich means, reinstall the module, hehe) Saludos. Saca111 P.S. I think that for the FA 18 it should work also. only think is IFA before GPS time will only allign your INS. After that, back to NAV. -

can not reproduce CCRP staying on the edge of HUD
Sacarino111 replied to rtphillips370's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi. If you are not bombing at the Steerpoint itself, remember to Zoom out, TMS aft and Cursor Zero. Then, TMS up or right to ground stabilize the TGP and then you should be able to slew around. Once happy with the location, TMS up or Right to "SPI" the point. The steering line should appear correctly. If you want to TGP and bomb a TOO, after Cursor Zero press SP (SnowPlow), TMS right to ground stabilize the TGP in front of you and looking down and forward and then slew it as desired. The rest is as usual. Saludos. Saca111 -
Hi. Don t forget to wiggle your toes, it is a magic trick to avoid over tension and helps you use the right amount of force. Sound ridiculouse, but works for me! Saludos. Saca111

Sacarino111 replied to Ala13_Kokakolo's topic in Installation Problems
Aha, thanks. One more question: "hotplugging still enabled" is an option inside DCS or is it PC related. Sorry for so much questions, but my PC is in Spanish, so maybe the tranlsation confuses me. Thanks again. Saludos. Saca111
