Hi. Go for Sirya, and learn the F14, for God sake! F16 is incomplete but really a pleasure to fly, but the map is near to completition and you would be able to use all the modules you have. Saludos, Saca111

HSI Heading and course as axes
Sacarino111 replied to prelektr's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi. Go for rotary encoders. No point using pots (despite BMS can, it has little sense). I have them as encoders and they work like a charm. Very intuitive and friendly. If no rotary, look for spring loaded back to center switches or levers. Saludos. Saca111 in deed, for BMS I use the same button box with rotarys, so you can use it for both games. Cheers. Saca111 -
Hi. 2 things. a: Keep in mind that the TWS radar mode needs at least two passes over a target (if I recall it right) to create a file, so you can TMS rgt to start bugging targtets afer a few passes. Too early TMS rgt will do nothing. I recommend that ,if possible, narrow the scan azimuth in order to expedite the radar scan. b: For close enough combats, less than 10 Nm, do Dogfight override aft, and the radar will auto lock, according to the DF mode selected. Cheers. Saca111

Hi all. To use the radio: 1 Press COM 1 (works the same for COM2, but diferent freqs) 2 Enter a number between 1 and 20 an then ENT. You should have a channel selected. IF you wish a certain frequency, just type it, but you will be unable to use the up/down selector to change it; again type hole frequency. 3 Dubber left to go back to main DED page. From now on: 1 To select another channel: dubber up or down until you see the up/down arrow in front of the desired radio. Select up or down with the selector and you should be able to change channels. You can always repeat steps 1-2 above described. 2 To change channel frequencyes: Press COM1 (or 2), dubber up/down until arrows are in front of the channel frequency (lowest line, if I recall it ok) and type the new one, plus ENT. Next time you select that precise channel you will tune the correct new freq. Be aware of the freq range limitations: COM 1 are UHF (Uniform) (2XX.XXX or 3XX.XXX) and COM 2 are VHF (Victor) (1XX.XX). If you enter a number out of the correct range, wou will get error and no change. Hope this helped. Saludos. Saca111

Anyone having ICP key chattering (double inputs).
Sacarino111 replied to Icebeat's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi. My setup is joystick type. I mean, I have a button box made with an Arduino (Check that amazing one! https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/97434-an-arduino-usb-hid-controller-composite-usb-controller), so I suppose it's DX button. You are right when saying that Horkeys and similar can have trouble sometimes, specially with "strange" modifiers (left Shift, Alt Graph and so...). Saludos. Saca111 -
Hi Go for the viper. Can t tell why, but thw Hornet seems cold, distant... One guy I fly with call it "the snorenet"; he fells like sleeping on it. Don t get me wrong, I have it,I fly i, I like it, it does lot of things (great toy), but the F16 has something that catches me! I m afraid that at the end of the day it will have less gadgets than the F18, but to me it worth it. Saludos. Saca111

Anyone having ICP key chattering (double inputs).
Sacarino111 replied to Icebeat's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yes I do, but I thought the problem was in my side , as my " constructions" are not that much of a "profesional" work. My trick is to press and keep it pressed (not long, but longer than a "normal" press), and usually it will take a single input. Saludos. Saca111 -
[INVESTIGATING]HARM Radar Cursor
Sacarino111 replied to Clean's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I agree with the first part: slewing the HARM is difficult due to its "oversensitiveness". Can't tell the same with the mavs; it is sensitive but not that much as the HARM. A correction for the HARM would be much apreciated! Saludos, Saca111 -
Hi. I'm new to this forum, so I apology if this was treated before; could not find it, if any... The point is that in my PC, when I enter the pilot position, my head is buried into his boy, quite low. I can adjust it with CTRL+SHIFT+NumPad8, but it's still a bug, I thinks. Hope it can be fixed, if it is a bug. Saludos. Saca111

Hi. And what about markpoints? It's not a proper waypoint but would do the trick. Find the general location of your interest, with radar or TGP, and pres the MK (or mark point) PB on the proper MFD. Then, from waypoint 1, click down arrow and you 'll jump to markpoints. You should have enough for the weapon release needs. Saludos, Saca111

AKAIK, ED is planning on adding more functionalitys to the Voice Chat, and maybe what you said is in their "to do" list.Right now. it is off by default (I think), and if you turn it on and do not create any channel, you would be talking to all coalition members that have it on, so quite disturbing, so being off is logical decision. Saludos. Saca111

hi. I had the same issue. The "precision slider" is not that precise, after all!. Had to program the zoom to the twist on the stick, but as two buttons presses at both ends of the band. Cheeers, Saca111

You have to configure it on "options/Audio", and set it to open mic, not PTT. Obviously, all menbers of the plane haveto do so. Then , when on the plane, LCtrl+LShift+TAB to open the Voice Chat window and create a channel for your aircraft and you should be done! Cab t tell if it works right now with the UH1 or if it s buged, but this should be the trick to get it. Cheers. Saca111

an Arduino USB HID controller, composite USB controller
Sacarino111 replied to overpro's topic in Home Cockpits
Hi Ferenc What you ask is a bit complicated. You should fist determine witch button on the Arduino would be the Gear up and down, as well as "opening" a few more buttons other than the ones for the joystick as input or output in the board. Then, from the switch itself, from their connectors, you would need a wire for the "joy part of the Arduino" and another wire that goes to the other buttons you opened. Beside this, in the Arduino sketch/code you shoul add a few lines to establish that, for example, when button 5 is HIGHT, button 7, 8, 9 (output for the RGB) are xxx, yyy, zzz (the values for the RGB code to be a specific colour), and when button 5 is LOW, buttons 7, 8, 9 are another set of values for a different colour. It's been a long time since I did my last "programing" in Arduino code, and I was BAD at it, believe me, but I did some trials on that and had good results. I'll try to find that code I did and try to post it here. Give me a few weeks (busy right now). Cheers, Saca111 -
