Hi. I don t know if I do it right, but I usually open or close the Coolant or the oil radiator manually to help me control the temperatures of the engine. Those controls are on the left hand side panel, two levers with a cover (for auto funtion) over them. I have them bound to the MFD butons so I can reach them with ease and they seem to have great impact on those temperatures. As I said, maybe I use them wrong, but they do the trick for me. By the way, closing the lever cover is suposed to put them into auto opening/closing, but they fail considerably on keeping the right temps. Also, keeping them open or too much time in the open position lowers the temperatures way too much, so keep an eye on those temps (besides the aerodinamic impact, of course). Saludos. Saca111

Should ED offer printed manuals (for a price)?
Sacarino111 replied to The_Chugster's topic in DCS Core Wish List
HI With you, sentimentalyy speaking... Nothing like those old big boxes full with manuals, posters, maps, disks and the smell...mmmmmm. But honestly, I don't think ED would go for it, sadly. Saludos. Saca111 -
New Guy with some hardware questions
Sacarino111 replied to greyeagle787's topic in New User Briefing Room
HI. Wow! A motion chair! To me it seems waaayyyy too much for a hobby, specially with a wife wondering around! Can't tell for that chair, the Jet Seat looks great, go for it, but the chair... My opinion, anyway. Saludos. Saca111 -
Hi. Scotch75 is right; after some time or " hard" manoevers, the gyro will drift and show errors. Fly as traight and level as you can and pres and hold HARS fast erect for a second or two and release and all should be as intended. Saludos. Saca111

Requesting possibility to turn off the engine when stopped

If what you get is a "small"window", called "voice attack", with a "profile" "long box" with a pencil on its right hand side, click right on the "+" icon right of it and create a new profile, call it "DCS test" ( ). ONce done, select that profile in the "long box", then click on the pencil icon to start creating the commands, easy task... to be sure in works on DCS, you can always set this option in the "new command" window. I hope I saw the point you are suffering and helped. Saca111

Hi: My guess is that your voice attack is a new/clean installation, so you go directly to the profile and to the add command window. If the window is the one called "edit a profile", just click on "new command", add whatever you may want as this is just for a try, click on "done" and you should go to the "main window". The icon I mentioned is the one on the desktop, by the way. Saca111

Hi. I use RCtrl and Backspace to recenter amd LSft and F9 to pause/unpause. Saca111

What do you mean? When you double click on the icon, what do you get on screen? Saca111

Hi. I don´t have the JF17, but AAR is almost the same for any non FC3 plane. The TACAN freq is set up in the mission editor, you should have it in the Briefing page (LAlt +b). So, you need the TACAN freq for the tanker in that particular mission; it is up to the mission creator to decide what the freq will be and to put it in the briefing. ONce you know that info, simply type/input it on the plane´s computer and setup the tacan accordingly and follow the indications until on visual. From now on, I can´t tell you the steps as I don´t have it, as I said. Hope I made myself clear. Saludos. Saca111

Hi. Little correction, I made a mistake. Sorry. I added a resistor (220Homs) to the signal cable to the ground. Salkudos. Sca111

Hi. I'm having the same issue, but with some Arduino Mega (3 off them, indeed), and the name causes problems as they swift position from time to time. Chek that post: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/97434-an-arduino-usb-hid-controller-composite-usb-controller you will go up to 256 (256!) buttons plus 8 axis per Arduino, so if you plan on having less buttons/inputs, a simple one should do, so the namimg problem desapears. If in doubt, contact me; I have been fiddeling with it for a few years now and maybe I could help you in some of the features. Saludos. Saca111

Nope, nojoy. Couldn't reproduce it! Looks like this feature is not implemented. Saludos. Saca111

Hi I haven't tryed in some time, but once I accidentally pressed TMS Rgt AND AFT at the same time and I went into something similar to IR pointer. I was surprised and took me some time and trials to revert back to Laser pointing again, and I think the trick was the above mentioned. Will try it now and be back with some news. Saludos. Saca111

Hi. I used a load cell for the Mig29 brake, as well as the KA50, the Spit and the Mi8. Not exactly a load cell, but a force sensing resistor, wich has two cables, not three, so the setup is as follows: 1 Cable red for VCC in (5 volts) 2 Cable 2 (whatever color) goes into the analog pin 3 from that cable 2 and befor it goes to analog pin, put another cable, cable 3 (black) to the GRD pin in the board. Saludos. Saca111 P.S. It is a bit sensitive, so some tweaking in DCS setup would be requiered, but no big deal.

Hi. The thing you posted looks gorgeouse, but does it work as an imput for DCS? Can't tel untill it arrives... I say the same, use an old/cheap joystik with throttle axis, place it beside the actual throttle and remap it in DCS. By far, the most and esay way to acomplish what you want. In he other hand, my real advice would be to do the arduino trick above mentioned. The ardware is easy to buid and connect and there is a lot of already done sketches for the Arduino IDE for you.

Difficulty - coming in time of the Hornet
Sacarino111 replied to Eisprinzessin's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Hi. Go for the Hornet, no doubt. Personally, I prefer the Viper, but for you, coming from the Harrier, the Hornet will be some kind of "continuation" of it, if I make myself clear. The Viper is another philosophy, while the Hornet and the Harrier somehow share part of the same philosophy. Saludos. Saca111 -
some pics... A10C UFC... F18 UFC KA50 Go ahead! lots of possibilities..

Hi. NIce, and welcome to the "infinite button creation"... I see alot of slepless nights in front of you! Good box, and good finishing too! Mine isn't that beatifull. I suggest you check this link https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/97434-an-arduino-usb-hid-controller-composite-usb-controller. I have three Arduino mega connected as joysticks, wich one of them shows as two separate joysticks, so it's up to 256*3 total button count, plus 8*3 joysticks axels, and DCS can handle it! Amazing! If you need some help, I would be happy to help with that unbelievable feature. Saludos Saca111

Hi. Again, be aware he needs to have the UH1 module in order to be able to fly in it, eeven as co pilot. Saca111 Besides that, usually MP is not a major problem, if you log into a public server. If you intend to host your own server and you are in a LAN, you should forward your ports in the router software to your PC internal IP. So, the easyest way is to log into a public server.

cannot reproduce and missing track file F16 FCR
Sacarino111 replied to wrangler's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi. I jave seen your track, and theMIG is flying away from you, so the detection range would decrease, maybe considerably compared to when it is flying towards you. Try a newe mission with easy tergets flying your way and at same altitude and check if it stills doing nothing. Your radar settings where ok; antena and azimuth correctly set, range also ok. Only think is the aspect of the target. As ice41 said, I can't tell if it is acurate or not. Saludos. Saca111 -
Hi. 1 Open Saitek/Logitek Software or profiler. 2 Create a new profile. Use the extended view, so it will be more easy to understand what I will tell. 3 In the top of the three right hand columns, where you see "mode 1 +pinkie etc, delete the box with the X beside of it. Do the same to "mode2+ pinkie" and " mode3 +pinkie". 4 Press the pinkie button so you see the button program window, right click on it. You will see a tick mark on something called "support", or "callback" (mine is in spanish, so I am guessing...). If not, tick it. 4 1/2 Name the profile and load it. 5 Go to DCS, open "options/controls" and press the pinlie. You should have it as a button number 6. Saludos. Saca111

HI. Wonderfull missions, I enjoyed a lot flying them. I have some years of experience on flight simulators (from 1984!, go imagine!), but you managed to teach something. Really an outstanding job! Thanks again! Saludos. Saca111

Hi. Yes, it's the TGP hanging right side witch unbalance the plane, and yes, the trim is finiky (¿?), hard to find the center position. It would be nice if ED creates a "thing", even if it is useless to put on the left cheek so the plane is more balanced. Saludos. Saca111
