Mi-8 has rudder pedals trimmer.
DieHard replied to AlexandrT's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I turn the cheats off and learn from the get-go how to fly without. Just a matter of preference. Do what you want. -
Been married to same lovely lady coming up on 42 years in a few days. Maybe... Women are too emotional, I'll never figure any of 'em out. LOL!

My old Dell with XP on it went to my cellar machine shop. I play CDs and DVDs on it but don't do the Internet with it. And I have machine shop stuff on it from that era. My Homebuilt I use as backup for troubleshooting in case my current Alienware goes down. I have never taken any of my PCs to a shop for fixup, I always figure it out eventually, usually hitting on a lot of various forums for advice.

LOL! 12:38 AM here in NY State. You guys need to learn patience. Not patients, that usually means a visit to the ER. Usually don't get your life long partner on your 1st dating adventure. The wait will be worth it.

YES - "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" Bass Cover with Notes & Tablature and the original (but, they always hide the bass player and cannot observe his process) ======================================================

(re: Message #1) I like playing my Fender Jazz Bass and learning new songs with interesting bass lines (patterns usually). Here is one. My bass has 4 strings, though. Another version: ========== Sometimes can get bass clef notation and or tab. If not, take it slow, break it down measure by measure and work it out, step by step. My two favorites on YouTube concerning bass covers are : infusion26 (he plays strictly by ear and flawlessly) ================================ https://www.youtube.com/user/infusion26 and Constantine Isslamow (he reads bass clef music notation and he is also flawless) ================================================== https://www.youtube.com/user/constantine2112

I still have the C-64 and that sim and a few other Microprose sims. I learned in machine shop doing maintenance on old equipment, buy same older machines cheap, then cannibalize them for parts to keep the originals going. In storage I have a half dozen C-64's still. I guess I am a pack rat. C-64 was my 1st PC early 1980's. I am age 65. My memory is going a bit. Told my wife it's getting so every time I see her it is like my 1st date with her all over again. I tend to stay with just one aircraft for awhile, then switch to another and stay with that one for awhile. But I still buy new ones. Patiently waiting for the Spit-9. I play MP on both builds, but usually fly alone. I'm game joining a squad if you guys can put up with me! Cooper is the only other guy I've flown with and in the Ka-50. I am fairly good in the WWII birds, got 'em all.

This may be old news, if so delete as to your discretion. This is pretty cool... https://www.facebook.com/usatoday/videos/10153154839685667/

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
DieHard replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Got that right! {;^) Me being sarcastic got me banned on forums once-upon-a-time. Oh, well, I don't care... Truth is truth! +1 I always fly Red, usually the copters. -
I had an aneurysm that I had no idea I had, burst in 2001, at age 50. My left leg was rubber. Migraine sufferers? It is worse!! Physical therapy and a lot of it got me back fairly well. Leg is still messed up. I take 2 canes with me. Seizures started 2 years ago, a direct result of the bleed. Life goes on. Don't quit. Don't give up. Keep trying. Keep plugging along. I think depression is the worst part; meds are available, just ask your doc. I type with one finger, each hand, usually. LOL! Turn spell-check on. To shift or tab on left side use a mouth stylus. Might take the edge off your dog-fighting skills... Best wishes, man.

(Re: Message #1) It's good to have an optimist in the crowd. Ever have a drink or two of Dominican Anejo 10 year aged rum? I am sure the wait will be worth it. Will be nice to see more guys out on the WWII servers, at least for awhile.

re: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2956447&postcount=27 Fond memories! reminds me of USA M-60 light machine gun (not so light if you got to carry the thing out on bivouac). I was with a Navy construction outfit. We had to re-qualify on weapons on a yearly basis, usually using the Marines' firing ranges.

+1 Thank you.

Mi-8 has rudder pedals trimmer.
DieHard replied to AlexandrT's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Fantastic! A real pilot with lots of experience and not a guy like me just simming. -
That is how I learned to fly the DCS WWII German aircraft. After awhile I will probably reset my controllers to zero linear also. I bet the Mi-8 autopilot will perform better. My current setup via Chuck's Guide, I can sim-fly the Mi-8 freehand not using the autopilot at all with pretty good results including landing it, even on a shallow slope as to setting up JTAC units in MP servers.

What welding unit are you using; brand and model? What sticks do you use? I welded years ago on the job. Welding unit was Hobart that did both DC phases and also AC, stick welding. The best rods were Eutectic brand, Beautyweld. Looking for a not so expensive setup for home use. How many hours do you have into your seat build? Looks nice!

I setup my CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals as Chuck suggests in his guide, (page 7). https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3NVJwVjhQZG0xZ2M/view Watch this video: =========== I knew a guy a few towns over, he lived out in the country. He was a VietNam vet from the mid-1960's. In his front yard, he bought a gutted out Huey via military surplus and placed it there for all to see---he just could not get the 'Nam out of his head; and did not want to! You realists should buy a Mi-8 cockpit via military surplus and build a realistic sim-pit. I am fine with my puny joystick, LOL! Interesting discussion. That's the joy of a broad spectrum audience (customers) bringing their own views and experiences to the subject.

I fly the Ka-50 mostly, so I compare the other copters to it. The Mi-8 has some similar characteristics and in cockpit tooling but I am still feeling out the finer aspects of the flight model. Have not quite got the autopilot down, yet. But I don't use it, I fly it quite well in freehand. Working my way through the Mi-8 DCS Flight Manual. A tutorial concerning proper autopilot use. DCS: Mi-8MTV2 English Flight Manual
DieHard replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I have an English Mi-8 Flight Manual (224 pages) in .pdf . My copy of ED's DCS Mi-8 Flight Manual is both Russian labeling and English text I obtained somewhere. It does appear to be the Draft version : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1074349/ Mine is found in Start/All Programs/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Documentation This listing is also found at C:/Program Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Documentation I find .pdf downloads doing Google searches and add stuff to my Start/All Programs Start menu for easy access when DCS does not include manuals in their early work. Bought the Mi-8 January 2, 2014. I played with it a little bit. Found the manual somewhere, I don't know when it was. The last couple days decided to jump in, set it up, learn it and do supply runs on the 1.5 MP Blue Flag server. The product now compared to then is much, much improved and a joy to fly it about. I use Devrim's English cockpit mod. In Gameplay: Avionics Language is set to English. In Special: Customized cockpit is set to Default. I use Metric units. -+- Mi-8 Flight Manual in the Russian language (236 pages) : ==================================== https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/521449/ Google Translate utility (Russian to English): ============================ https://translate.google.com/?tr=f&hl=en
