  1. Absolutely true. In reality, I think it has rarely been used by US forces. Instead, it seems to have been used very freely by Saudi Arabia in the war in Yemen. In fact, as you have noticed, it is a weapon that should be used very carefully considering the side effects. But I think the Arabs don't have much scruples. In a video game you can enjoy the effect on enemies without regret.
  2. The 97 is a little more risky to use. The 105 is really comfortable. I use it from 28k feet and it's like God suddenly fell on enemies (and I mean all enemies).
  3. Hello everyone! Whatever weaponry you have tried for the A-10, forget it! 4 CBU-105 are enough to destroy a (stationary) column of 30 tanks and 20 APCs!!!! This bomb is devastating!! Within the range of the bomb, it's possible to drop the 4 bombs by targeting (quickly) 4 targets of the column (a pair nearly at the ends and a pair towards the center), so that the bombs are fired at approximately the same time. The show is guaranteed (as long as you have a good graphics card).
  4. The same goes for me. Not only does the Phoenix seem to have a reduced effectiveness, but Jester also seems more stupid. I created four simple front engagement missions with the Editor between my F-14 and, in order: first mission, two Mig-23, second mission, two Mig-29, third mission, two Su-27, fourth mission , two Tu-22s. AI is always "veteran". I'm not an ace either and the missions always provided a distance between me and the AI enemies of about 150-200 nm with my F-14 armed with 4 AIM-54C, 2 AIM-7MH, 2 AIM-9M, starting altitude 30,000 feet. Before the upgrade, the result was pretty obvious: except for some mistakes of mine, the 4 Phoenixes were enough to destroy both enemies. Now it is really different! First of all, the Mig-23 and the Mig-29 (which fly at about the same altitude as me) cannot be locked by Jester (only tracked at about 100 nm) except when they are at about 40-30 nm (making the AIM-54 useless!), But what is surprising it's the Su-27s that evade the AIM-54s with embarrassing ease!!! In short, the F-14 is no longer the king of the hill. By way of rematch, I wanted to perform the same missions with an F-18 armed with AMRAAMs. Victory has always been very easy. So maybe the Tomcat is simulated better now than before which would explain its replacement in the Navy with the F-18 relegating it to the role of bomber (even if very well done).
  5. Hello Suchy73! The photos of the Rafale you posted show a plane with beautiful textures and many more visual details than those of the mod plane. Are you using a mod other than version 003? Which?
  6. Hello everyone! First of all, congratulations for the wonderful Gripen (great plane!). I tried using the mod and it's really fun. The only slight problem I had was using the brakes on landing. After a landing with such a long stroke that it went off the runway, I tried a 10-15 degree AOA landing (as with the Viper). But it wasn't enough! I believe that the W key (which I mapped on my joystik) is not active!! In fact, on the third attempt, I was able to decelerate the plane enough to be able to swerve to take the last junction on the runway, but the plane kept moving despite myself pressing the brakes since the nose gear had touched the landing strip!!! Maybe something needs to be done that I don't know. The aircraft was always in a clean config with half gas. Thanks in advance for your kind attention and to the developers for their fantastic work!
  7. Hello everybody. I would like a tip on how to deal with a pair of J-11s (equipped with ECMs) against my F-18. Head on engagement. I use DCS 2.7.0.5659 Open Beta (the latest update). I fly at 32,000 feet and am armed with 4 AIM 120B, 2 AIM 120 C and two AIM 9X. Speed about 350 kts. I have activated the internal jammer. My radar is in TWS mode. Of course I have master mode AA on. The two J-11s activated their jammers. I have never been able to track either of the two Chinese !!!!! Instead, the Chinese started launching missiles at me from about 80 nm away !!! I must be missing something because it appears that the APG-70 is a rather sophisticated radar, while so it seems to be that of a 1960 Mig-21. Not to mention my jammer. Of course, the two J-11s shot me down thanks to their (apparently) superior jammers, not to mention my radar which looks like it was built from scraps. I tried repeating the mission three times. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO LAUNCH A MISSILE and, in the end, they always destroyed me (before I could use my JHMCS). So, there are two possibilities: I am doing something wrong (most likely) or, with a pair of J-11s equipped with their prodigious jammers, the Chinese can take down a squadron of F-18s.
  8. Wonderful!!! I can't wait for the pre-order!!!
  9. Chuck is simply great! His guides have been - and will always be - a precious asset! Thanks Chuck!!!
  10. Hi Karon, I agree to the last word you wrote and, as for the RIO (WSO or GIB), I admit that I hadn't thought about the difficulty of a BVR without TID! But, as you also wrote, what a dream the Phantom in DCS!!
  11. Hi everyone. Why hasn't the F-4E (the most successful version of the Phantom) been added to DCS World as a standalone module to date? I have often asked myself this question. I bought the Viggen, the F-5, the JF-17, and the Mig-19 as well. Well-respected aircraft, but they don't have the prestige and history of the Phantom which, not only in my opinion, was one of the greatest fighter aircraft in history. DCS World will never be complete without a dedicated Phantom module.
  12. How is it possible for an Igla missile to hit a falling GBU-10? You might reply that this could happen by an incredible stroke of luck. Well, that's what happens regularly in DCS. Seeing is believing.
  13. First of all I want to congratulate you on the excellent work !! A little notation: the Greek F-16C block 52 have a single sensor on the tail terminal (on the right side), while the Turkish, Polish, Moroccan, Egyptian, Iraqi, Chilean, Omani F-16 have the sensor on both sides of the tail terminal. Is it possible to replicate the sensor on both sides of the tail terminal? Also, is a sensorless tail terminal possible to simulate an Israeli F-16C (Barak)?
  14. It seems that the cloud system has been greatly improved and, as far as the ending of the video is concerned, I think ... it's not April 1st!!!!
  15. This is exactly what you need to do with the Viper for a perfect landing. Regardless of landing weight.
  16. I have to admit my superficiality. It would have been enough to read the release notes to understand the problem I had. Anyway, I removed the F-35 mod and everything went perfectly. Thanks for your kind attention.

  18. Hi! I bought the F-14 Heatblur on 08-10-2018 (directly from Heatblur). I just updated 2.5.6.57949 Open Beta. Wanting to try the F-14 A, with the mission editor I create a simple mission (only the F-14A aircraft already in flight). I notice that in the box preview of the plane, F-14A it's exactly like the first F-14A (the non-Heatblur one!!). In fact, when I try to start the mission, the game crashes. The F-14B works perfectly, even if - after the update - I had to re-binding controls. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
