  1. This is pollution caused by aircraft exhaust fumes, give it a few weeks and once the hype of the 2.5 release dies down a bit the smog should start to dissipate :D On a serious note, I can confirm this also. Hopefully it's a squishable bug.
  2. Well done ED on the early release, Happy Merge Day!...... lovely surprise :D Tally Ho chaps....... maybe see ya'll on the AO server later for a blast
  3. :D :joystick: :pilotfly: Congrats ED on the EARLY release........ 20GB download here too, I have NTTR & Normandy on 2.2
  4. Flying the Spitfire in VR in both SP and mostly MP with Jafa's great sound mod. Blows me away every time......
  5. What will increase your glide time quite a bit is setting the prop to coarse pitch (lever fully back) so the prop is almost feathered and therefore reducing induced drag, this is assuming that you are in the glide following an engine failure! Every little helps to get you to that airfield in the distance or extra time in the air to look for a safe field and set up your approach to belly land.
  6. Stunning....... Zooming around in an F18 at M 2.0 isn't going to do this map justice!!! definitely built for the Helo fans. Perfect choice of music for the video too, Vivaldi's Four Seasons.........sweet
  7. This is why ED should seriously consider including Jafa's sound mod as a standard sound file for the Spitfire IX. It's awesome and really brings the old girl to life. Great work Jafa
  8. Agree...... My money is on Wednesday 31st Jan for a release. errr......That's two weeks today, so in this case two weeks really means two weeks :D
  9. Fantastic mod  I would love to see ED implement this into the game.
  10. Thanks for the advice cordite, much appreciated. I ordered a new adaptor cable (DP to HDMI) which arrived today, went for a more expensive one this time and all is working so far :) In the longer term I may replace the Sony Bravia TV for a monitor and go direct from a DP to a DP, but I'm up and running for now. Cheers to all that replied.......thanks for the help guy's
  11. This is what I am using and having difficulty getting it to work. Only difference is I'm using a TV rather than a monitor. I wonder if it's a signal thing.....the TV isn't compatible with the signal from the GPU's DP port? It works great from the HDMI port straight to the TV's HDMI socket.....but I need the only HDMI connector on the GPU for the rift!.......
  12. Not that I am aware. Under options it just says "Auto, General, Graphics" etc. for Scene Select. Under "Input" there are HDMI1, HDMI2, AV1, AV2, PC, and analogue/Digital signal. So are you guys going from a DP to a VGA socket on your monitor?
  13. Bit of advice needed please. Just had to replace my system due to a PSU failure. New rig has an 11GB GTX 1080Ti. On the back of the card there are 3 Display Ports and 1 HDMI. Now I need the only HDMI port for the rift, but I'm having issues with the Display Ports working with my 32" Sony TV which I use as a monitor. It works no problem on an HDMI cable direct to the TV but intermittent or not at all on the Display Adapter ports using this cable :- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Displayport-Adapter-Benfei-Display-Converter/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1515092619&sr=8-2&keywords=DP+port+to+HDMI+adaptor It sometimes works for a short time then the TV either displays a message along the lines of "unsupported signal input" with a black screen or just turns to a black screen with no message. I had it working last night for a couple of hours and had DCS running on the rift no problems, but today I cant get past the cable issue. When it does work I have seen green lines appear on the screen just before the unsupported signal message pops up. I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers 388.71 How do you guy's connect your 1080Ti to a monitor/tv when using the rift? Any advice would be very appreciated :)
  14. Thanks for the update matt, nice to have a plan. Meanwhile my rigs just blown up, spat the dummy after 6 yrs loyal service  I recon it's going to be a month until I can get a new one built so good timing on that score......bad timing in so far as no DCS for me all over the Christmas break, thats going to be tough.....but lots of good things to look forward to and 2.5 on a new rig should look sweet.....
  15. Thanks for the quick fix Zeus, and no apology needed. Loving all the extra stuff in todays update, Harrier's shaping up just great :D
  16. Ive tried .59 but I was getting horrible stutter on 2.2 NTTR in MP. Tried same in SP with improvement but still stutters so I returned to previous driver again and all is much better.
  17. This is clearly a ground crew fail.....they should wind the clock up and set correct time on the Pre Flight. Put em on a charge the oily oiks, get the bas***ds in the mess peeling spuds and reporting to the guard room in best blues at 22:00 ready for inspection, get the bleeders cleaning that parade square with a tooth brush, make em suffer....Oh hang on....it was me! Anyone fancy a Wobbly? :D On a serious note, might be worth reporting it if no devs turn up here and confirm WIP. I've noticed the stopwatch doesn't work either.
  18. It's also a no from me. The clue is in the name..... Digital"Combat" Simulator. Now...... where did I park that Spitfire............ :D
  19. Here you go......... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3253290&postcount=93 Doesn't look like they have run out of stuff to show us just yet though. Now 2.2012448 is out we only have 0.2987552 to go! :D It's been a long wait
  20. Ohh we can dream........
  21. you're welcome guy's Makes the A10-C manual look like a pamphlet! Enjoy....
  22. Not sure if anyone has seen this so thought I'd post it up here. http://jyito.com/Master_FSG.pdf Should make a good read at 731 pages!
  23. CCRP then.... depending on when you yell the Tally-Ho bit
  24. Great update RAZBAM and ED Harrier is very smooth in VR now and a real blast to fly. Brakes are spot on, STO stop now slides instead of notching up and down, and the nozzles don't move unless the engine is running The detail on the Harrier is fantastic, even the Aux air doors behaviour is spot on. It's the little details that make a whole world of difference when immersion is concerned, and so far the Harrier oozes class in this respect. Beautiful module...... 1.5.8 is looking great from my end.
  25. Thanks for the heads up. I'm on 388.31 at the moment but will update now. Also on a secondary note a hotfix patch was just released for 1.5.8 although it doesn't state on the change log that the Harrier cockpit FPS bug has been fixed I'm hoping it has!
