  1. After todays Hotfix for Update 6 in VR (Oculus) when the canopy is open you can still see the Perspex and reflections around you, the canopy frame slides back as normal, just the Perspex of the canopy and reflections/dirt is still visible, as if the canopy is fully closed. Tried this in SP and MP, issue was there on both occasions. Easy to reproduce, I was on the Normandy map on both occasions but assume this will be the same for other maps. I will test over the weekend and report back if it is only on the Normandy map. I fly exclusively in VR so can not say if the problem appears on a screen set up using TrackIr. Hopefully others with different setups will give their input on this.
  2. Great Newsletter this week  Fantastic to see the old girl is finally out of early access, and many thanks for all the love ED have given her since the release. She sure is my all time favourite module in DCS (F18-C a very close second!), she is, simply put.....stunning. Once we get the updated DM and AI improvements, DCS WW2 will take some beating. Well done to all at ED and thanks for all your hard work......from a very happy camper :)
  3. Concur..... I also posted here on this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=204397&page=3 (post 28 ) about the same thing but didn't get any response as yet. Using VR makes it really hard to read the MFCD as it is, however if the brightness worked that would be a major improvement.

    AMCPD

Well, one thing I've noticed with the AMCPD at the moment is the brightness control. When you turn it down the heading bugs etc correspond with the brightness control but the compass rose and the indicators next to the buttons do not. They just stay bright, this makes it very difficult to read clearly in VR, at least for me anyway. Anyone know if this function is correct, or intentional, or a bug/early access thing that will change as the Hornet progresses? The top left and right tv tabs brightness controls work spot on and everything on the screen gets dimmer when you turn the control down.
  5. Once you have made contact with the basket (which you can do-the hardest part imo), push in slightly towards the tanker, that way if you do drift back slightly there's a bit of give in the hose so you don't get a disconnect straight away, then try to hold formation with the tanker using visual clues. IRL when tanking the receiver had to push in on the basket/hose to open the valves on the drum in the refuel pod allowing fuel to flow down to the basket. When disconnecting the receiver just pulled back, the valves shut and the probe withdrew once the hose reached the drum lock..
  6. IRL if you shine a torch into the seaker head you will get a tone too.
  7. Yep, glad to see progress on DCS WW2 here too. Having great fun in the F18, but for sheer fun and seat of the pants flying not to mention her sheer beauty, the Spitfire still ranks No1 for me too.
  8. Excellent work as always Chuck. Many thanks.
  9. Glad to help......youre gonna have a blast with those carrier landings! Enjoy :-)
  10. Not sure about the Hornet as I got it under the pre-order, but I did purchase the Persian Gulf map recently using some of my bonus points. I had around $35 to use but could only put a max of $15 towards the purchase. Every little helps though :-) However the Hornet is worth full price IMO, so using any bonus points on the purchase is a win win for you...
  11. Thanks for the update Wags, hope it makes it to release status tomorrow
  12. +1 for OP's idea here too. I can't see the ball until I'm on top of it in VR, by then I'm guaranteed a bolter!
  13. This is a great idea. I fly exclusively in VR and I can't see the ball at all on approach at any time, it may as well not be there at all. I'm flying approach visually and manage to trap once in every 30 or so approaches and when it does trap it's sheer luck! If we could have a small graphic of the ball lights pop up in the corner of the screen at say a mile out or so, something clickable in the "specials" tab under options for those who don't want it can de-select it, it would make life a bit clearer for those in VR.
  14. Just read on todays newsletter that ED and Belsimtek have now officially combined forces under the Eagle Dynamics banner. A BIG congrats to both teams on this. It's great to see both combine forces and it proves without any doubt that ED have a great future and I for one can't wait to see how it unfolds. It's going to be a wonderful ride...…….well done and congratulations to all involved. PS...….Thanks for fixing my beloved Spitfire in the latest update, that tail wheel bug was causing chaos to my gut in VR! :)
  15. Issue fixed here too, all working great. Thanks guy's.
  16. Downloading a small update of 195.6MB now ( 2.5.0.15184.338 ), is this the Hotfix?. Not seen anything else posted about it yet.
  17. No worries SiTh, it's Beta so expected, just glad to help out a little :) Hope the guy's find the culprit soon.
  18. Ok, just tried it on the fresh install and can confirm it's the same, no movement on the ground. This is in an Instant Action mission - Cold Start. I did another instant action mission - free flight - to see what happened there. Seemed ok to start with, prop pitch had an effect on engine speed and flight control was as normal, but I gradually lost airspeed irrespective of throttle/prop pitch setting in level flight and engine started to overheat!, ended up with a belly landing in a field. So I did a quick trip in the Harrier and all is well with that, no issues. I didn't try any other modules as no more time this evening. Hope this helps a little.
  19. I'm just trying a re-install to see if the issue was with the update installation/updater. I seem to remember it got to around 9.5GB or 75% ish on the install bar and I went to make a cuppa, when I got back to the PC the installer informed me update had been completed which was a bit surprising as it was taking a while to download so thought it would take another half an hour, not 5 mins! I tried a repair but this didn't make any difference. I'll report back when I've tried the fresh install, which is just the Caucasus map, I'll leave NTTR and Normandy till later.....
  20. I've just tried this and it didn't work. Same issue, Spitfire for me is glued to the ground!
  21. Same issue here too.
  22. Having a strange issue in the Spitfire with the latest update. Spawning in a create fast mission or instant action the aircraft will not move on the ground! even at full throttle, tail doesn't lift....nothing. Can someone else check this to see if it's my install or a wider bug?
  23. 11.57GB download at my end......wow. Can anyone confirm the Spitfire MP bug is fixed?
  24. Here's how I found out this evening when my rift software failed to boot! https://www.vrfocus.com/2018/03/is-your-oculus-rift-currently-not-working-this-might-be-the-reason-why/ Also Oculus just updated their support page.... https://support.oculus.com/
