  1. Take a look at this weeks newsletter, it's all there what you're asking for. All on it's way :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4069345&postcount=219
  2. Great newsletter this week, thanks for all the info ED
  3. This /\ +1 from me too, hope they change them soon.
  4. I haven't heard a drag chute mentioned by ED anywhere. Does the Block 50 Viper have one? I seem to remember I read somewhere that the US didn't fit them to their F-16's but other countries had the option to, I don't know what variant this was however. But if it was a block 50 version maybe we will get the option? If the US versions didn't have them then just choose a non US skin and plant that baby down on any short runway you choose :D
  5. Ok, thanks for that.
  6. I believe the whole damage model on the Viper is WIP or not working at all ATM, so I would assume your issue has something to do with that.
  7. Anyone know how to check/change the bomb code on an instant mission? I have been messing around with LGB's in a fast mission and I set the laser code on the pod to 1688. Find a target and drop the bomb in CCRP, fire the laser (I have the flashing "L" on the TGP screen and on the HUD), but every time the bomb explodes within the vicinity of the target but never on it. I can only assume the code on the bomb is different but I don't know how to check this on an Instant Action mission..
  8. The pilots seating position in the Spitfire is way too high since the last update on the open beta (2.5.5.36986). I'm not sure if it is the same on a 2D monitor as I only fly in VR but currently you can only see the bottom half of the reflector sight when in the default seating position. Not sure if this is another bug but the first Spitfire I spawned in on the AO server as soon as I started taxying the U/C folded up. The same happened to another user. Once I re-spawned and tried again it was fine.
  9. DOH! I was thinking local not GMT  Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock...:joystick:
  10. Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock.....BONG..BONG..BONG..BONG 16:00 (GMT) on the money :D EDIT....My clock is 4 mins late!

    VR pilot body

I've added this as a question here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250707 So far there has been no videos showing a pilot body so I'm not too hopeful it's going to be included in the EA release, but with luck we may get an answer in the newsletter on Friday to the question I posted in the thread.
  12. LMAO......a classic. I can just imagine our fud doing something like this
  13. Are there any plans to include a virtual pilot for the Viper? This adds so much immersion whilst flying a module in VR, and the F18 Hornet has a great one which looks really stunning in VR.
  14. +1 The pilot in the video above on the F16 cockpit tour mentions how small and tight the Vipers cockpit is. I really hope this is simulated for us in VR. I've seen other representations of an F16 cockpit, ok it was on a 2D screen, but it gives the impression that it's quite a large space to sit in, I know it's difficult to simulate on a 2D screen but still the pit looks very spacious. I really hope they have simulated how small and tight the Vipers cockpit is when in VR. I think ED have done this rather well on the Spitfire which feels rightfully small when sitting in it in VR.
  15. I've been using VR for a couple of years now and my advice is get one as soon as you can. All modules look and feel awesome in VR, it's a whole new ball game, a completely different perspective. The F16 will for sure give a completely different feeling in VR to other modules due to its design, but I promise you once you have tried VR you will never look back....no pun intended :D
  16. Here is a great read for all P-47D fans out there with LOTS of tips on not just engine management but aircraft handling too from the pilot who flies the P-47D based here in the UK (G-THUN). https://vintageaviationecho.com/p-47-thunderbolt-nellie/ It's going to be a completely new beast and a great new challenge for me after flying the DCS Spitfire for so long! Enjoy.

    VR pilot body

A big +1 from me too. The Hornet's pilot body in VR looks awesome and is very well done, the F16 cockpit will look very bare without this great addition. Hopefully Wags will post here and let us know the latest on this  (not sure if he remembers but it's as important as the side door on the Spitfire IX!!! remember Wags? and yes I still have that lovely screenshot you sent me :D )
  18. Yeah I know, I was talking about the one that will be released to us prob next year, not the AI one Sith was talking about.
  19. Thanks for the info. So my understanding is the Mosquito will have a PFM but with simplified systems modelling?, and if it sells a lot of modules this may change to a full blown simulated module post release, right? Also is it planned to have multi-crew on the Mosquito? if so that would be jaw dropping! and would be a first for the WW2 stable, it could well be a huge selling point for the module! Either way a day one purchase for me, not been looking forward to a module so much as this one since the Spitfire was first hinted at way back!! :D
  20. Not much info recently on the Mosquito, I wonder how the old girl is coming along?
  21. Our F16 has a F-110-GE-129 engine which provides a greater than 1:1 thrust ratio. The aircraft is light in comparison to the F18C and has lots of thrust so the F16 should win this competition on both counts. It should be able to climb vertically and still accelerate from sea level, although this will be with a clean jet, not one with lots of ordinance and external fuel tanks hanging on it. Guess we will find out soon enough....

    U.F.O.

The truth is out there......somewhere. We gotta keep plugging away. :alien:
  23. Voted to "complete existing modules" and for me that would include the new looooong awaited damage model.
  24. Anyone know if ED plan to include a pilot body in the initial EA release? They did for the Hornet and it looks superb. I think for VR it really completes the immersion in a VR cockpit if it is there.
  25. +2 I find the Hornet cockpit one of the best if not the best cockpit for VR. All switches frequently used are accessible for me even with the pilot body on which I have on all the time. The HUD is no problem to see and the new TGP is really clear to see and all this with an "old" Rift CV1. On a side note I just pre-ordered the Viper and really hope that pit is similar in clarity to the Hornets, if so I'll be a happy camper.
