  1. I hope I may hi-jack this thread, as it is slightly related. Out of curiosity I went to the store page to see what it says about NTTR and I notice that I have a "buy" button. I was a DCS A10 Beta customer. Does it look that too for you guys who bought DCS:A10 beta?
  2. Little rockets to give her some spin, by the looks of things. (Spinning things: easier to control [stabilize] /go further (just guessing that is the purpose))
  3. Very cool thanks!
  4. I have suffered from the same problem for years with this stick. One suggestion I always saw but I never managed to get any, was white grease, like the type you find on the plastic gears of a DVD ROM drive or a toy RC car etc. Wax is an interesting idea, I had not thought of that before. But, you say to apply the wax to the actual shaft? This seems strange to me as it is the plastic plate that is grinding on the plastic base that causes the sticking. I dont understand how putting it on the shaft would work, would it not be better to put it on the actual plate?
  5. Yeah, nice launch. Looked very kerbal with the three boosters :D Can't wait to see it with it's real rocket, eventually! Bigger than Saturn 5!
  6. Good job, looks sweet!
  7. Release candidate is out now.
  8. Interesting site. I wonder how credible it is? Also: What is a "special harness"?
  9. Live For Speed has implemented 3D into it's racing sim recently. http://www.lfs.net/ Not expensive and has given me years of excellent online sim racing.
  10. For me, DCS has always been about the modern aspect.
  11. Good find, thanks
  12. I never bothered with the betas and the new version is now downloading. What should I know about control profiles? I play: Combined Arms UH1 Su25 Do I have to recreate input maps for these? I see some other posts/recall some discussion about control maps with this new version.
  13. Nice work Jens. I used to "play" F16 combat pilot on the C64, but it was so confusing to me I had no clue what to do! Still, I loaded it up now and again to see if I could do any better and enjoy the cool art work and cockpit! Looking forward to the 8 Bit screens 8) .
  14. What's the purpose of the cut out running men along the runway?
  15. Better for the environment! Where the heck does all that cable go any way? :D
  16. Looks fantastic, great work!
  17. Only just found out about this project, looks/sounds fantastic. BO-105 is an interesting Bird. Good luck with the project and nice work so far!
  18. [shameless Plug] You can try my ground warfare focused mission where you get to be a BMP2! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116463 [/shameless Plug] :D
  19. I think the noes pitching down at speed is a phenomenon called "Mach Tuck" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mach_tuck
  20. Nah sorry. I have used Winamp as my media player for years and I too like to use the Hotkeys in games when possible. But, some games, it just wont work. DCS being one example. It must be to do with the way the game grabs the input resources of the PC.
  21. I can wait a bit longer. Nice vid, thanks Wags.
  22. Thanks for the feed back and suggestions guys, really appreciate it! I will work on a new one soon. I think I will do an Abrams one next. Hey Evil.Bonsai, be sure to post that one up when you get it finished, I'd love to have a go!
  23. Hey, I was wondering if any one who played this could give a bit of feedback, when they get a chance? Is it too confusing? Is it too easy or too hard? Is it too boring? Is it too annoying the way the AI take most of the kills as they can see and shoot through trees, and detect enemies very quickly? Is it too linear? Where you able to "break" the mission? Finally, do you think you would like to play more of these types of missions? Thanks
  24. This is my first attempt a mission. I noticed a lack of Combined Arms missions, so I decided it would be a good platform to make some missions. I also like the aspect of CA where you can control a vehicle, rather than be a "Ground Commander". With this in mind, I have made the mission to be played as a BMP2 unit. There are no "Ground Commanders", only 2 "JTAC" slots. Just as you would only fly the A10 in a DCS:A10 mission, this mission will be played as DCS:BMP2 :). The mission is quite linear and it is pretty basic. I'm sure there might be some bugs/oversights. Any feedback is welcome! SITUATION: The Town of Mingrel'skaya has been captured by an, as yet, unknown rebel group. Some Communications from friendly Observing forces near the town suggest the Rebels have established Two road blocks and are equipped with some older generation armor units, including a T55. 4nm to the West, near Vamavinskoe, we have set up a Forward Operating Base from where we will deploy a counter attack to retake Mingrel'skaya. BRIEF: As part of a rapid response team of 3 BMP2s, you are to proceed to Mingrel'skaya and remove any resistance from the town. As they have armor, it is advised to use caution and not to rush in! It will take approximately 10 minutes to drive to Mingrel'skaya. IMPORTANT GAMEPLAY NOTES: ==================== You Can Only Control The 2nd Or 3rd BMP, NOT The LEAD BMP. 1. Select a JTAC slot 2. Press "F7" as necessary to select the 2nd or 3rd BMP 3. Press "RIGHT ALT+J" to take control 4. Press "C" to Engage Autopliot and Follow the leader. !. It is Advised to stay in Formation!!! N.B. If your BMP is destroyed you can press F7 again to select the remaining BMP and take control of that, if it still exists.
