Make them spawn at different airports, one with unlimited supplies and one with limited. If the ones from the limited resource bases land to re arm at the ones with unlimited, blow them up with a script

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Shadow KT replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thank you, I am sure you can find plenty of reliable information in this thread, for reference. I am sure we as the community just want the best for the module (in terms of realism) and there is some valuable, real life experience shared here and I hope it can be translated into the SIM -
[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Shadow KT replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The current issue as I see it (for 2D) is not side to side, but top to bottom.... you either can't see the top end of the hud or the bottom (by adjusting seat height)... If I wanna see the the top of the hud from the default position I have to bend my neck and lean downwards. You would get the same effect in the past if you would try to adjust your default position (to the correct one like it is right now), the hud would just scale out of the view.... The same feels like right now, as if the view position got adjusted, but not the hud. 8BexFKs87i0 -
Yes, I have noticed this and it definitely has been around for more than a year .... It is kinda hard to replicate, but sometimes if the missile looses sights (gets notched) just as its target starts a sharp turn, the missile will yank its self

There is still plenty of potential and what you can do with Combined Arms, just gotta use it
-
I have already mentioned that in my original post, third paragraph ;)

Your game won't crash.... you can have CA installed and run everything else as you would normally. VR just won't work when you wanna try it with Combined Arms. To be honest, VR is only going to be a handicap for what CA is anyway (at least for now), so I can see why it is not VR supported

I've heard of people complaining about A2A missiles just randomly disappearing

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Shadow KT replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
This really needs to get addressed, especially for 2D, as it is seems it is way worse... You either don't see the top of the hud or the bottom or something... Also I am not sure about this, but the seat is so close high it is blocking the APU handle. I looked at some picture and there is a gap between the seat and the panel, giving you a better angle, which is not the case in DCS... correct me if I am wrong tho -
So is there a verdict on this ? There is no way you can see the top and bottom of the hud at the same time, even if you adjust the seat hight, there is always something out of view I think the new head position (default) is better, but they didn't adjust the hud for it I've adjusted to the same position in the past (pre-update) and would get the same result with the hud.

Okey, would like one of the more knowledgeable on in-depth A-10 systems to give their opinion here.... When using CBUs with CCIP and CCRP. I've noticed on the Hornet that when you use a JSOW A and designate a point, the weapon deploys in such a way that it opens up before the point so the cluster charges can hit exactly the target you gave (the designated point). On the A-10, when using CCRP the SPI you give as a target is actually the point where the weapon will open up, releasing its clusters, not actually where it will hit. This is kinda counter intuitive, as you have to calculate on the move how much lead you have to give and for that you have to take in consideration wind speed (if using parachute clusters like on the -97 and -105), the speed of the bomb when it gets to the HOF, as well as its attitude (meaning its dive angle). Meanwhile, when using CCIP, the same behavior seen with the Hornet is present. The CCIP piper is actually the impact point (CCIP... duh), meaning the cluster will open in advance so the charges can hit generally where you are aiming. Is this intended behavior ?

Capture the Point! Overview: Capture the Point is an inspired by War Thunder/World of Tanks game mode, featuring Combined Arms. The goal of this event and game mode is to show off the possibilities and potential of Combined Arms. Even though the module is super clunky and it takes some getting used to, it can still be a lot of fun! Setup: Four vehicles on each side, BMP-3 vs ZBD-04A, direct control only (JTAC slot), fifteen-minute rounds. Both teams are placed around two nautical miles away from the Capture Point. To win, a team has to either hold the Capture Point for two and a half minutes or eliminate all of the enemy’s vehicles. The Capture Point is illuminated by colored flares, indicating its status. White flare means neutral, red means the REDFOR is holding the circle, green means the BLUEFOR is controlling the circle and orange is contested! No F7 external views, F10 map is set to FRIENDLIES ONLY (No AI spotting). The event will have a tournament best of three setup, with a best of five for the end opponents. For now the format will be four vs. four, but depending on the amount of sign-ups it can be changed to two vs. two or three vs. three. Bring your friends and play with them. All solos will be partnered with other people to form a team. Any player who is currently playing, caught switching to the Spectator (Observer) slots will be disqualified. When: The 21st of March 2020 @1900 Zulu Sign-up: Post your name below (preferably signs ups are done individually) Join the discord link below for coordination, questions, ect. Upon joining the discord leave a message in the #general section. https://discord.gg/PTafWdh Communication will be done over Discord or Team Speak. Notes: Everyone is welcomed, even if you have never tried Combined Arms ground vehicles, it is all for fun! If anyone needs help, feel free to contact me on the above discord and I will be happy to show you around! A version of the mission will be attached at the bottom of this post, so players can get familiar with the setup (Additional timer for when the point is held will be added for the final version). Players are welcomed to stream. If we are lucky, we might even get someone big to cast/stream the event. A BIG Thank you to Redhotita1 for helping with testing ! Capture the Point APC ATGM (4v4 JTAC).miz

[RESOLVED]Nighttime visibility excessive (15nm white dots no labels)
Shadow KT replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in General Bugs
Any screenshots/videos/tracks ? -
With enough pagefile and an SSD, you can even have 12GBs of RAM and it will run perfectly fine.... I run 16 and have no issues with stuttering or freezing. Even on the biggest MP servers... Obviously 32 is the better option.... but to answer your question.... 16 is MORE than enough !

[NO BUG]2a42 30mm cannon damage is broken
Shadow KT replied to rahimystrio's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, it is weird... The Ka-50 has the BMP-2 gun. Don't know if the munition we have modeled is old or what, but it can't pen Warrior and Bradley M2A2... It shouldn't either I believe, as it is said that those are armored up to 30mm rounds.... although I don't know... super suspicious... At the same time 25mm on the Bradley/Lav and the 30MM on the Warrior can penetrate them.... Definitely either the armor models are not alright.... or the ammo is weak -
They did in mine too, but the AI has enough missiles that after a bunch of attempts on their side (one mission run), they eventually hit them... Might be a DCS bug worth reporting

[REPORTED]Ka-50 ABRIS displays ALL SAM+AAA locations at take-off.
Shadow KT replied to D4n's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Pretty sure what he meant is the old same bug of ALL threats being shown on the ABRIS on aircraft spawn, same with the threat rings on the Hornet.... -
MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Shadow KT replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Just finished the MiG-15 version... Great Campaign ! I was surprised that none of the missions were broken  Overall great experience, some cool AI moments, good scripting. I really appreciated that you have to navigate properly, I wrote down every flight plan, so I can have a quick glance at it at any time... Tests your skills with the MiG-15, navigation and trouble shooting... and fighting, you gotta be good in that with the MiG, would guess it would be easier with a Sabre, just because of the nature of both aircraft -
Help in mission 15 "final nail"
Shadow KT replied to Eviscerador's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Pretty hard mission. I played with from the MiG-15 side, but... still What I found to work is.... conserve as much fuel as you can, until the attack (don't drop fuel tanks before that) Start running immediately when you kill the C-17, dive down, unload the jet... maximum acceleration, fly as low as possible and constantly check your six When you see that the hostile aircraft is coming in on gun's range... throttle half way, speed break out and start a slow barrel roll.... at least the F-5s can't hit you .... they will either over shoot you or start climbing right away in a loop.... pretend that you are going to BFM them.... the moment you see them facing the other way climbing away ..... immediately unload the jet, dive back down, maximum speed and keep running... I had to do this 5-6 times, until I was able to reach SAM cover. Don't know about the MiG-21 AI, but you might be able to just outfight them too... not against the AI F-5 tho... that thing has infinite energy... so unless you get a lucky shot, best stick to my strat -
Wake and Speed Acceleration cause drop of CPU usage
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Game Performance Bugs
You missed my point.... What I am trying to bring attention to is the drop of usage, combined with the lowered performance.... one would thing that, if you need more performance, your hardware will be working harder, not less.... I've also had bugs in the past where I would get the same in MP, unless I do a restart... I have no stutters and issues with RAM/Pagefile. I've allocated plenty for it to use on one of my SSDs -
I think the latest patch notes mentioned the hold function being fixed

oh what a surprise.... the patch notes came officially live and now everything seems to work.... I wonder why .... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
