  1. Hi msalama, Perhaps I mis-understood your question but please follow the link below for yellow 25 photographs, you probably have seen them before. This is yellow 25 beautifully photographed... I believe she is our girl. The "Balls of Fate" are not specifically shown in any photographs but can be seen just out of shot with most rear landing gear photos.... obvy they had something to hide. https://walkarounds.ru/index.php?/category/aviation-ru-kamov-ka-50
  2. Great move by ED, 16 will keep me busy for a while.
  3. Loving Seemaws already, feel like I loved her long time.
  4. What make of hydraulic damper BaD CrC? Do you use a settable friction value with these or just a standard fixed friction/damped value.... does adjustable damping make any difference when applied at the correct angle in regards to the collective? Do the dampers bleed and if so how quickly?
  5. It would be shameful to abandon such an European machine! it will not be abandoned.
  6. Perhaps your sound card software? Compression was a major selling point with computer sound cards, who is loudest and most impressive sells the most cards to the herd. You would be amazed how immersion breaking these useless w8nkstain sound card software actually is.
  7. If you look at the MI-28, then you will see a whole new world of restricted view. In VR each window is larger than the size of my 1080P monitor. You are simply sitting in the centre of 4 large plate armoured glass panels (up, left (huge sheet of glass that leads down towards the ground), right and forward). It is like driving your car, the sheer size of the windows lets all the light in. it is a very special thing to sit in the middle of such large windows in which to look at the world, light coming in from every direction through big large windows. It is different and it is definitely special and there is very little that will bring me back to real life punk ass gamer sitting in the man cave playing DCS ib friont of a tiny monitor! regrets.... none! Cost of trail blazing the youngling market is astronomical, benefit to the community including myself.... worth every penny.
  8. All I see is 3 dimensional dials, they are a little bland but 3 dimensional behind the glass at the front of the dial. Are you sure you deleted all mods in the game folder? Devrim's old pit for example? I find the slip balls to be a serious upgrade and much more readable at a glance.
  9. Does the INU full boot up time of 15 minutes affect the standby Attitude indicator (SAI). Has any one tested this? Gets on my nerves how quickly the SAI drops out of calibration.... It distracts me in the middle of combat unless I got it locked and stowed. it ain't right, has not been right long time!
  10. Agreed, it looks superb! No drop in FPS seen here. The fact that you cannot cold start and engage the ejection system in VR is problematic (reported). The Odd light reflection within the pit is also an annoying bug, specifically on a lit warning panel segment exposed to direct sunlight..... probably not a problem to those lucky enough to fly with real live shadows in the cockpit (reported). Apart from that, it looks amazing and I am looking forward to seeing what Devrim does with this 3D pit........ Blue, battered and worn PLEASE Devrim!.... she should show her age.
  11. Also the forced IPD in the DCS setup menu not only increases scale but depth into the pit as you look down. this is the weirdest setting ever as it makes everything bigger but does not affect FOV.... weird!
  12. Yeah but this is jets or WWII fighters.... in this world you have the market share. Us chopper boys are absolutely delighted to get the scraps.... and I am happy with what I got!
  13. In VR the HUD is a little narrower than a box of Kellogg's cornflakes, about 3/4s the height?... I think. Not American monster size off course, UK regular and not UK family size...… obviously. looks big to me. edit... after looking at it again, 1/2 the width of a box of kelloggs.
  14. Agreed, Restarted DCS and the Autopilot lights are indeed lighting up correctly, both left and right. This really was obvious after restarting (I did not delete FXO and shaders files..... yet.) but the lights are not as obvious without the gorgeous pit shadows.
  15. Looking at your image, is it a shadows thing? in pit flat shadows just click into place as you rotate..... I will try this in a mo. Unknown and Rrhode, have you deleted fxo and shaders file or just standard install and repair?
  16. Auto pilot lights still inverted, left panel and right. Backup Attitude indicator still goes off too quickly. English pit booted up as standard.... as it was set previously. Keyboard binding has changed and I hope will be interesting reading.
  17. Make sure you have repaired the install. Lights are better but not so bright, I checked with the warning light test switch. I am flying the las vegas strip... sunny and bright (fixed shadows). FPS is Very good. Hud has the typical Russian sun screen at the top.... blisss!
  18. incredible, just got my VR opticians for the reverb….. love it. a far better sense of sitting in a tank! The spacing and size of the rear view mirrors is excellent.... each mirror is the size of my fist but so much room to look around and between the mirrors out through the roof window. The rotor sound sounds better, more descriptive of how you are loading the blades... am I imagining this? crystal clear cockpit for me (optimal VR centre view). In pit serial number is 25 (yellow 25?).
  19. Awesome. Looks superb! Going to need to look at my DCS forced IPD setting, joystick is up to my chest.
  20. Downloading. HRRRRRNNNN!
  21. Roll on the new pit.... I flew the ruskie pit for years until the English pit was available! I will manage it again.... it is all muscle memory from here on in. I do like the blue pit though. I prefer the blue!
  22. It should also be noted that the real MI-8 has a really heavy cyclic (damped?). I believe the trim button releases most of the damping.... I think.... push trim... move... release? could be wrong mind..
  23. I can live without precise dial turning. Just let me flip the switch in VR..... it is all I need for now!
  24. looks cool. internal dome light on?
  25. Further to this excellent post, dial 11 is top of the pops and virtually right in your line of sight..... The Doppler velocity indicator comes to life at and below 50Km/H..... just as you push the airframe out of transitional lift (free lift from forward velocity) and is announced both aurally from the sim sound of shaking and if you have a jet seat through excessive vibration through your arse and spine! The vibration and sound is simply to tell you that loss of transitional lift is starting to happen and your current collective setting will "soon" not be sufficient to maintain altitude. As Dial 11 drops its line below 50 KM/h the steam gauge directly below it (dial 12) becomes God oh F%$king mighty! The VVI (VSI). Vertical Velocity Indicator (Vertical Speed Indicator). In the Kamov Ka-50 it is just below and left of the HUD.... it is a critical piece of kit! Its placement is testament to that. If it ain't read right, then you are in for a whole new world of pain! Because once you allow this heavy weight to drop into VRS, like the hind that is coming, she will push her entire weight into VRS and this is what most pilots are unsuccessful at fighting!
