  1. And why didn't you both save the track?
  2. For those not on discord.
  3. You mean this bug? https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-war-ii/dcs-p-47-thunderbolt/bugs-and-problems-an/287282-rudder-pedals-animation-bug Fox
  4. It is MP only, and you have to wait for two weeks. Fox
  5. Does anybody know if there is a possibility to configure DCS server in a way that the mission list is continued instead of started from the beginning after a DCS.EXE kill and restart? E.G. Mission rotation has 10 missions listed. The server reached mission 5. Now you want to restart the server for whatever reason. Right now this restart would also start the mission list at mission 1 again. How can I convince DCS to continue the list with mission 6 instead of mission 1 after the restart? Fox
  6. You do realize that the Me262 is part of the initial DCS WWII effort? Have you been around here when the whole DCS WWII thing started? I often see this Me262 angst. This thing is fast, yes, but has no real chance to turn with its enemies. And the Mk108 is not a very good weapon to fight against a turning fighter that is aware of the 262's presence. I sometimes take the methadone-program for the 262 and fly dogfights on the Berloga server. And guess what: Some cry when I shoot them down. But I only catch others when they are not checking their six regularly. Once they realize my presence they easily outturn me. The biggest threads are the Tempest V (that's why I'd like to see this plane after the 262/those Hispanos hurt even at high distances) and the Mustang (we need a 150octane option) especially in packs of 2 or more. A diving Tempest or Mustang is in the speedrange to be a very serious threat to the Schwalbe. Teamplay is a key factor here. I think this is more a psychological thing that so many are afraid of the 262. The Me262 is by far no guarantee for being at the top of the score list. Your chances of survival are high if you are fast, but your hit-chance is then significantly reduced for anything that turns faster than a pregnant cow. And then there is this engine management... Did you try to fight in a 262 for yourself to see how it performs in a dogfight scenario? Once we finally get synced clouds, we can use them and hide from enemy aircraft. That will change a lot for the WWII scenario even with the current planeset. I think that the Me262 adds something to the WWII theater. It will lead to more teamwork and increase the tension during the transit flight already or during bomber escorts. The 262 will be a very interesting SP experience as well. There were Me262 operating in Normandy(end of July). Well the Normandy-map would have to be expanded a bit to the south to cover the historical airfield of departure. Did you know that Mustang pilots during the Korean war had the thread of MiG-15s? They had balls of steel. Fox
  7. Good mission-makers will make interesting missions both for SP and MP. I'd love to see a Tempest V after the Me262. I agree with gavagai. Fox
  8. So because it is about the Gustav, it is useless? Do you have something better? I'm still waiting for your answer to my question. Why? Enlighten me please. Fox
  9. A 150 octane option should be in DCS. And when the Me262 will be released the 150 octane would ease severe Me-Mimimi pain.:pilotfly: Fox
  10. Please approach this from a player's perspective. I'm for full realism. And if I was sitting in this aircraft in reality and would notice that the controls get so stiff that I can't handle it with one arm, I would intuitively use my other arm to compensate this, but that would come with a drawback in other areas. Well, the wing rip off would happen if you yank the stick around, but if you're carefull you can ride at the edge, like you can do it with the Spitfire. I'm not asking to bend realism, but to add real possibilities. Fox
  11. Yo-Yo, would a double arm simulation be possible? Player presses a button, then the stick gets after 1 second roughly double arm strengh applied on roll and pitch axis as long as this button is pressed. But as both hands are now on the stick, no other command, except those on the stick(weapons, bomb release), are possible. When the button is released, back to single arm stick force and after 1 second other commands are again possible. So as long as this double arm is "on" you can't change throttle, trim, flaps, etc. because you have no virtual hand to manipulate that stuff. This would prevent a permanent "on" switch. And it would also increase the possibility of easily overstressing the airframe, as is was possible when the K4 was released. Fox
  12. SteamVR frisst kein Brot.
Fox Sniped by QuiGon:thumbup:
WMR for steam started dann automatisch. Fox

While I agree with you guys about the point that WWII Aircraft and other content need significantly^2 more attention from ED, I don't think there is antipathy for german aircraft in general. We have the ultimate Bf109 and Fw190 that were in active duty back then. Both with MW50 power, while both the Mustang and Spit don't even have an option for 150octane fuel. The Mustangs engine doesn't like to use its WEP, as it has a high probability to fail then. Spit's Merlin seem to be more robust, but it's topspeed is on the low side of available calculation- and testsheets. Yes, Nick talks a lot about allied planes, as he flew many of them. But he is a smart person and though is sounds "negative" when he says "and then we had to go on to a bit of German stuff and whatnot", he knows too good that they have to be represented as close to available information as possible, because a biased recreation of aircraft would lead to a collapse of the whole product. Player numbers / sales would drop. His personal preference might just be with the allied aircraft. And a little bit german is in the "@14:42 - 28s about the P-51 ... "probably one of the most beautiful pieces of machinery built by man"", as Edgar Schmued, a german immigrant, was responsible for the Mustang's design. Fox
  19. Nope, unfortunately not.
  20. +1 and don't forget UN forces.
  21. Thank you. Very interesting!! Fox
  22. That was only a friendly reminder to prevent a warning or suspension for you. Rules: Do you know this is a engine limit? Can be a structural limit before that. Or hydraulics. Or the controlsystem can't handle the aerodynamic changes involved. Many factors possible for this 800KIAS limit. Does the real manual state, that the DEC prevents the aircraft from reaching speeds in excess of 800KIAS? If not, then don't expect it to do so. I haven't found the time to read through the manual yet. Fox edit: NineLine was faster.
  23. To prevent administrative action you should remove the chart. Unfortunately it is not allowed to post manuals or parts of it in these forums from or newer than 1980. Tell Bignewy or Nineline, where to find the chart so they can have a look at it. To the topic: One limit of this aircraft is 800kts. But that doesn't mean it stops its acceleration there. You as the pilot are responsible to keep the aircraft within its limits. And when 800kts is the allowed limit, you won't get information in a flightmanual about what happens above this limit. Edit: Not saying this is correct behavior of the Sim. Fox
  24. So I had this sound bug also. Happened when I was flying alone on the Channels Map. Was a VR performance test. No other aircraft on the map, no triggers in the mission, no scripts. It happened approx. 23 minutes after joining the aircraft. The track replays the situation very good on current Open Beta, but the sound does not disappear when replaying the track. So not possible to replicate with the track. When it happened the PC was heavily loaded. FPS dropped below 45 for motion reprojection. I have the indication for motion reprojection activated in the VR headset, so I know if I have less than 45 FPS, exactly 45 FPS, or 90 FPS. In the track I shoot the guns just after losing the interior sound, to check the sound. But even the guns lost their sound. The only sound I could hear was the ADF-noise when I switched it on. Exterior sound was okay though. Mission and log added. The zip contains the track. Fox F-86_nocockpit sound.zip dcs.log tmp.miz
