  1. SRS is running on version 1.6.1.0. Be sure to have at least 1.6.0.0. client. Lower versions are not compatible.

  3. Yeah, the Horizon indicator freezes. It can be unfrozen for a moment by caging und uncaging it while trimming the elevator. Fox

  5. I didn't kow how interesting and challenging it is to intercept B-17 bombers. In this case unescorted but at high altitude. 6000m/19700ft. I flew as if engine overstress was modeled, so kept the time limits. I set the B-17 AI to average. With TacView you can see how many bullets are in the air compared to the tracer bullets in-game. 1 Fw-190 A8 vs 16 B-17G Enjoy. Fox
  6. You can do this with TacView. I have the advanced version and it works with SP and MP, on the same PC and with a PC in the same network. Fox
  7. You have to push/mouseklick the undercarriage control CB despite it looking already pushed in. This is a bug. Push this CB and the gear should raise up. Fox

I wouldn´t like the proposed ideas, so it´s not better for me. And now? Then why stop there? The next guy will ask for another compromise here and there. If you make too many compromises the simulation gets washed out of this software. You can´t make a compromises, if you want the real view out of the FW-190. You need refraction. And again, if you can´t hit anything now, you won´t hit anything even with refraction either. Fox
  9. It won´t be corrected until the graphics-cards can calculate refraction without impairing the FPS significantly. Source: Wikipedia And no, someone who can´t hit another aircraft because he/she thinks it is due to the bar, still won´t hit anything even without the bar. E.G. me. I´m bad and I wont get better without the bar. Adjust your seat´s height. So why keep whining about something that ED is aware of, but can´t change due to external limitations? As soon as NVidia and AMD implement refraction properly into their hardware, we can and should ask again. But until then, repeating the bar problem again and again will only create a bad mood between us, the community, and ED. And that is totally unnecessary. Fox
  10. You can not only copy units inside a mission, you can copy units from one mission to another mission that way. Fox
  11. Even with the centerline mount you can loop. But its a bit hard. Current Open Beta 1st loop was okayish 2nd loop was meh 3rd loop was okay Centerline mount installed. Full fuel, full ammo. Throttle was set to full power most of the time. I also installed the version of OB with the Anton release. The performance was similar. WOOOT?? Looping is not a good idea in a Dogfight.... that explains some things...

  14. If you are pushing the pedal to quickly for the governor (and engine spool up/down) to adjust, then the rpm will increase/decrease. Again. RPM is supposed to be constant in the helicopter, which is very important. Governor maintains that as long as the engine(s) delivers enough power (ignoring other limitations for a moment). By adding or substracting effective rpm with a yaw movement right or left you change effective lift. Thus you climb or descend in this case. Fox
  15. It doesn't work that way. You cannot distribute power between MR and TR. They are both connected together via the main gearbox. This connection is fixed. Interesting. From your perspective the governor does it. The reason for the climb/descend is the change in effective Rotor rpm. The governor simply does his job, by maintaining system rpm. Fox
  16. The Mi-8 has a clockwise turning main rotor. When you are hovering without adjusting collective pitch and push the left pedal, you are reducing your main rotor's effective rpm and thus reduce its lift. With right pedal input you increase the effective rpm and increase lift. Thus you descend while yawing left and climb while yawing right. Fox

    Give the pilot a pistol and remove the canopy. But when the pilot has the gun in his hand, he cannot change the throttle. He has to stow the gun first. Fox

  21. Keine Ahnung. Hatte mich bisher nur wenig mit TACVIEW beschäftigt. Ich möchte meine zahlreichen Abschüsse (also ICH werde zahlreich abgeschossen) analysieren und der Preis durch den sale und ev. Mengenrabatt interessant wird, werde ich mich erst jetzt mehr damit beschäftigen.
  22. If the mission creator has this option enabled in his settings, then this setting is enabled in the mission. You can only disable it by disabling the setting then saving the mission again. Its a very old "feature" of DCS. And yes, I only tried it with the Anton. Fox
  23. There is currently no damage model to the engine. Climb to altitude, dive, set full throttle, prop pitch governor to manual, full fine pitch, engine will rev far beyond 3500..... nothing happens. Its early access and thus to be expected Hope they implement it soon. Fox
