If it already hasn't been done, maybe there should be a nice mission brief/explanation on the buddy spike website that goes over what this server is and more appropriately, how one is expected to play; get on comms, get tasking from gci and what gci is, that this is a team play based server, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that the rounds should be 4 hours. 3 just isn't enough given what we do in there.

This is just a general thread about the constant crashing of DCS. It's made it almost impossible to fly in Blue Flag since you have limited lives. I've lost most of my lives because of crashing. It's gotten to the point of being unplayable and sadly, expected. Is anything be done to make this somewhat stable? Its really frustrating. I'd post something to get help but it is happening to everyone, not just me.

I have a serious question and it isn't trolling what so ever...why does it seem like blue has just quit? Once we took Tblisi and the surrounding airfields it seems like the blue side just stopped showing up. It could just be a lull but maybe someone could answer.

There are some nice, to the point videos on youtube that show how to do this if you do a quick search.

The fact of the matter is that you shouldn't see him or any helis that are flying NOE. You're complaining about something that shouldn't even be happening, I mean you seeing them on radar when he's flying under 10m. It's something that I hope ED looks into and gets away from this arcade radar we have.

You are either being deliberately obtuse or you really don't know what you're talking about. There is nothing that is OP about the red side. It's almost laughable that you'd say that. We have been limited to the absolute worst missiles we could possibly have. Your AIM 7 lets you launch well before we can get into range to launch anything we have. If you're having trouble taking bases/farps then its because people don't know how to use their aircraft and you're not working together. An A10 can easily take out anything in short order. The Ka50 is not some super heli and we have to get in quite close to use it. You don't have to do that with the A10. The red side generally speaking is at a disadvantage and you're lying to yourself or again, you don't know much about the air to air missiles we've been limited to. The bottom line as always, is that the Red side tends to work together as a whole while you guys seem to have a small group that coordinates and a large group of individuals that like to lone wolf. I've flown both Blue and Red and that's the most obvious thing I've seen.

This one always makes me chuckle. Anyone that's flown a real aircraft, especially a jet knows that is exactly what it feels like unless you're in slow flight. The fact that the Su33 and Mig 29 has a SFM really makes no difference what so ever. I'd rather have a more realistic flight model but it really doesn't affect things one way or the other. I'd rather see aircraft radar get a work over. The way things are now, that is what is a bit arcadish.

Given what's going on with the Mirage's perfect missiles/update screw up with the last update they should be removed or severely limited on the server until it's fixed. I'd find it hard to believe that anyone would disagree with that, given the circumstances.

There's a thread in here which corrected it to 1000'. Either way, I don't think 100 is going to make that much of a difference.

Just send your flight to attack the heli's, sit back and watch.

It's not that the F5 needs an upgrade, it just shouldn't have been done in the first place. The same goes for the Hawk, 101 and L39. While I appreciate the effort that goes into making these, training, aircraft, I wish DCS would get organized and focus on aircraft that we could actually use. I won't go into naming them, there are too many out there and they keep getting skipped over in favor of these planes that will be used for a month then disappear on the servers.

You must be thinking of BF4 or something else, this is a simulation. As do most, I use the instruments to tell me what's going on and you're going to have to learn how to do it as well. The last thing we need are arcade messages popping up to tell us what happened. Having said that, I am pretty sure you can see what was broken after the flight.

US .50's do have restrictions on rates of fire as well as total rounds fired. It's in every TM that comes with the weapon. Having said that, the aircraft .50's may very well be different in employment, but they do have limitations.

I've seen .50's so hot during a night fire that they were glowing red/white and you could see the rounds traveling through the barrel. The same for the 60 and 240, never see a barrel warp. I take that back, I've seen one barrel warp/bent, but it was on an M16A2 and I don't think it was from firing.

Honestly, its whatever. I would prefer to just leave it as it is as I have to flight plan for my job. Either way, I'll just deal with what is decided.

Yes we are. There are mods out there that give unrealistic capabilities to aircraft.

Yeah but a line has to be drawn. Have you ever actually made a real flight plane for an actual flight? It takes a while. Now, instead of doing this for one mission for the day, you're going to be doing several times for several missions. You'll spend more time flight planning than flying. Personally, I like things the way they are. I have no interest in doing actual flight planning for this sim when people can't even be bothered to taxi correctly or even use the runway.
