  1. There are definitely map difference. Using 104th server as an example: PG map - Kish AF, spawn in F-15: 60 fps - maintain 60 for most the entire mission Caucus map, spawn in F-15, 40 fps, after takeoff more like 45

  5. Messing around with this caused me some issues where after testing, changing back to 90 and then SteamVR would load and still say 60. I had to completely reinstall everything to eventually get it fixed
  6. MSAA is not needed. Depends on your card, but I've had better visuals and stability by leaving PD at 1.0, no MSAA. AF 16 is fine. Then go into your super sampling software (ie. SteamVR) and increase there instead of via DCS. I run my Reverb at 150% SS.

  8. Similar experience here. VE is a big jump, takes some adaptation and tweaking until you get it where you need it to be enjoyable. After that it can be hard to go back to 2D :)

  14. Plugged in a TrackIR after months of VR. i could never play this game on a 2d monitor again. I'd honestly rather not fly. Being in the 3D cockpit world is a must. The sad thing is, ED hasn't done much to help with visibility, it's been an age old issue, but I think the current cop out is 'our 2.5 engine can't be fixed so let's wait years for Vulkan'. Case in point, I have to zoom in to see contrails that pop in and out of existence. Terrible contrast with a dark sky above a white horizon, disappearing missile trails from a distance, etc... The problem isn't VR in the end, it's the game engine of DCS is woefully behind and the devs aren't able to fix it.
  15. Thanks for sharing your mod - this is much much better. I hope ED is reading and seeing this - someday will be fixed without a need for the mod. Again thanks - the pros of the mod far outweigh the cons
  16. So the end result was online this capped my frames at 30 fps. Enabling motionvector capped my frames at 45 online.
  17. I can confirm this - friendly track IFF'd as friendly, shows as enemy in Datalink.
  18. Not sure why they would do this - would be same with Index or any WMR head setup. Why wouldn't they just let SteamVR handle it - I trust SteamVR with their constant work on the product over something ED would do ?

  21. what do you mean by no center cams - you mean the default ones ? (sorry in advanced for my ignorance)
  22. I should add, I was a tad disappointed that I couldn't use my Warthog stick base plate, it's much heavier than this light WarBRD one, and when you using heavy springs it's not a good combination.
  23. Is there any way to increase the center tension - not much but some ? I have the Warthog stick with WarBRD base, I have the heavier springs and CAMs in. However, I find the center to be very 'touchy', just pressing a button causes the stick to change. I'd like to put some more tension in the center if possible ?
  24. Hoping for a Wags video soon to show the TWS and Datalink in action for the F-16. I assume at some point we will get auto-IFF and not need to pound the scan button all the time ? :)
