Hi, damaged generator is not repaired via comm menu at airport. I was hit and then my generator suffered a failure. L/G, flaps lights started to flashing and weapon lights went off (slowly). After landing, I asked for repair via comm menu. It was performed and hits signs disappeared from my plane. Unfortunately when i started the engine L/G and flaps lights were still flashing and weapons lights did not light. When I asked for external power, all lights worked correctly. Weird thing is that system signal lights do not work, because of generator failure, but systems still work even lost power, according to systems lights. Landing gear, flaps and NAV lights do not suffer power lost even generator is out... btw. radio loses functionality when gen. is out, which is right

D-28 was the first planed during Kickstarer, as i remember. But D-30 is planed now, probably since ED took over WWII project, IMO D-30 is better choice.

Engine Limitations: Are they modeled?
saburo_cz replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
and in DCS World is not MK.IXe, so what is here connection with anything? -
Spitfire Liveries Collection mod

.. :\DCS World\CoreMods\WWII Units\SpitfireLFMkIX\Liveries I think, this is what you are looking for. -
I tried to replay and save track from yesterday game when my egine was blown by MW. Unfortunately when i was able to replay it i always crashed during take off in that replay... So, i have no usefull track from that yesterday flight. Sorry
-
Yes, i took of with 100% fuel load. Plane was not damaged any way by enemy action. My altitude was around 3 km with MW ON and i was slightly descending.
-
MW bug is NOT solved. It killed my engine again after less than one minute after i switched it ON. It happened just now on BS server... The same situation as before "repair"... unfortunately. Flight was 10 min long, with engine setting 2700 and 3000 RPM for the most of time. Before i switched it ON a flew 2 mins with 3250 at speed above 600 km/h.

HVARs require dirrect hit, that is O.K. they have small warhead. I have killed lot of tanks and Stugs with them, not only on BS server, but i have realized some changes in 2.5.1. with their trajectory, that not BS server fault. I have no idea how usefull are US 500lbs bombs against Germany tanks and Stugs, will try. But not today, sorry :) . btw. some test from WWII 1942 detonation tests - Udetfield Upper Silesia, north of Beuthen ( Polish spelling “Bytom“) Targets: ten Russian T-34, one American M-4 Sherman, three British Mark IV Churchill tanks Bombs used: SC-250 Effect on T-34: remains intact at distance of 3 meters (9.7 feet) animals inside tank killed, diesel fuel set aflame. Effect on Sherman tank: remains intact at distance 3 meters, animals inside killed. Effect on Churchill tanks: riveted armor fails at 5 meters (15.5 feet) entire tank torn apart. it is from book “German Air Dropped Weapons to 1945” close hit kills crew and put tank out of action (according tests, animals were used instead of crew), so if close hit kills tank in game we are close to real, IMO :smilewink: and THANKS eekz

Hi, eekz could you replace some alied units? I mean use M4 Firefly instead of M4s and Cromwells. I tried to kill these units, but M4 and Cromwell required direct hit, that is impossible. Does not matter if i use 50 or 500 bomb. If i try to kill Firefly i need only close hit, less than 5m next to tank, approximately. 50 is enough for it, but 500 is better, of course. It is the same like in past in Battle of Gali, T-55s were targets (think they were 55s). We were able to kill them with close hit. But M4 and Cromwell are soo crippled , or their DM ...

funny, but i remember that fight and i did not lose you for any moment... that was not really this case moreover, it is not about jumping players, it is about permanent long ping, where player with that is delayed for you for nearly an half second and more, so you see what he did "long" time ago and not his actual activity or even his position unfortunately, that player does not have the same problem... try to play against these players, and then say something

+1

"push-to-talk button" was "Otional" not madatory, according to TR manual (called there Press-to-Transmit Switch) it was additional pusch-button, i suppose like on the picture %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/UugMSTi.jpg[/img] and would be nice to have it in DCS Spitfire :)

+1 my the most favourite plane

it is known issue, from last update list: Bf 109 do not work request for inertial starter may be, is it that?

Well, i did enjoy long sightseeing flight around Normandy :) Map was default, take off from RWY and full fuel load. I switch MW after 5 min on 3000RPM for 10 min. Then i flew on 3000RPM for 5 min and then again MW for 10 min. Then 10 min on 3000RPM, so far OK. Then i tried run with MW again (3rd during that flight) and engine died after 2 min. Temperatures were OK, within their limits. It requires more tests, MW is not limited twice during flight, and if i switch it for 2 min above limit, it can not mean that engine must die. It looks like that switch On MW twice for less than 10 min during flight is safe (probably, needs more test with different conditions), but some issue is still here, IMO.

I have full fuel load and i used air start. 12min i used because i was above limit, i wanted to see that engine will not died immediately after limit pass and what becomes after (and it is the most important, because after fight i need to get home).

May be, MW is now repaired, somehow, but engine itself not. I did one check, and it is not enough for final result, i know it. After engine was warmed up i switched MW for 6 mins., then i run on 3000RPM for 2 mins, i again run with MW ON for 12 mins, so far engine was OK, then i slowed down on 3000RPM and engine died after 3 mins with temperatures OK. Speed was always above 500 km/h true. When engine was running with MW, oil temperature was on upper limit of its range and coolant temperature was 105°C. They were good. When engine died, oil temperature was in the middle of range and coolant was 100°C. So, it looks like that sudden engine death is still here. Map was default, without any weather modification.

Hi, are you going to switch server to Open Beta 2.5.1 or will stay on 2.5.0. Just asking.
-
When i read the last Newsletter i was disappointed and unhappy about that. Finally i realized that they actually save my money...

It looks amazing

J13 Serenity is right. I tried it on default map, i think with 20°C, and plane flew with MW ON and engine setting 2800/1,8 until MW tank was empty. It took slightly more than 30 minutes, after 25-26 MW pressure started to go down slowly and after 30 engine started to shake because MW pressure was too low. I flew mostly above 500km/h, for several times i slowed down under 400km/h. Oil and coolant temperatures were on theirs upper limits the whole time. IMO something here is wrong...
-
If you switch directly from plane to another you will get "in-game death". You have to switch to spectators and then to another plane.

can You forever BAN player with nick "Sukebe" for repeated team killing... please

D-30 is plane introduced into service in early fall 44 (or late summer) like K-4 and D-9, it fits perfectly...

P-51B/C, even with V-1650-7 (sale is not required, i want that plane soo much :) ) than Fw 190A/F models ( A-8 / F-8, may be better -9) than Bf 109G-14 or G-10 than perhaps Typhoon/Tempest would be nice to see in DCS World two engines planes, but necessary time for theirs development put them far behind planes i mentioned above, for me
