If you look in DCS FW 190D-9 manual, page 39, there is "Electrical System Diagram", fig.29. You can see there that you need 2C/Bs for landing gear: -E16 Landing Gear Drives (i guess electrical engines for L/G retract/extend) -V24 Instruments, ... and Landing Gear Controls (guess it is for L/G control box) It seems to be correct to need 2C/Bs for landing gear operating.

not repaired, moreover with last release increased posibility engine failure after use MW, even it was used for seconds until this release, i was at least able to stay in the air after using MW, now na way... it looks like that Dora went back to status before some improvement was done weeks ago sorry

[REPORTED] Drop tank Fuel Valve is only half right
saburo_cz replied to DeepDrummer's topic in Bugs and Problems
There is one important think about Drop Tank Fuel Cock, i realized it today... It is always in "On" (valve is open) on mission start, even it (lever) is in OFF position. BUT!!! If you open it (move lever to Open position) and then close it (move lever back to OFF), you will close that valve when lever is again in OFF position, you cut off fuel line from external fuel tank!!! Simply, it will start to work as it should. weird, but that it is... I was really sure that Drop Tank Fuel Cock function is not simulated, it is simulated but with small help described above... -
[REPORTED] Spitfire - strange engine failure
saburo_cz replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes If You want to take fuel from external fuel tank first, You have to do. If is in "On" position, engine will take fuel from maint and external fuel tanks simultaneously. "Right hand selector" function "On/Off" (or Close/Open valve) is not simulated yet, if it is in Off position, still engine takes fuel from external fuel tank. If it is in "On" position, You will not be able to release external tank, it is correct. -
[REPORTED] Spitfire - strange engine failure
saburo_cz replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yellow light will come On and engine starts running irregularly. I opened main fuel valve, but engine did not start running regularly. I had to swich On booster pump to restore fuel pressure, switch Off yellow light. I tried use the wobble pump to restore fuel pressure, but it was not sufficient, may be if engine runs at lower setting it is. -
[REPORTED] Payload effect on airspeed
saburo_cz replied to J13 Serenity's topic in Bugs and Problems
I think that there is not calculated (probably) external stores drag, it seems that only weight is. I had similar resutls like Serenity. I tried only stores under fuselage and when they were carried by Spitfires (for both models) the loss of speed was around 2-4km/h (external view F2 - True Speed) - it is totaly marginal, nearly nothing, it looks like loss due to increased plane weight. When i dropped external fuel tanks, speed went back to the same speed like clean Spitfire flies. But, when i dropped 500lbs bomb, Spitfire got some kind of "extra boost" and speed rose 24km/h above speed reached with clean Spitfire, again both models. Did not tried efect caused by undewings stores and did not tried to release pylons. All tests i performed with the same conditions and flight path... -
Pilot's Notes from 1946 is perfectly applicable to DCS Spitfire, and has answer

Yes please, Luftwaffe planes need AB 250 and AB 500 containers against ground targets. :smilewink:

I think it is line from "de-aerator on carburettor" to Upper tank.

IMO fuel system is modeled correctly. Only "Drop Tank Fuel Cock Control Lever" is not functional. According to Fuel System Diagram, engine is feeded simultaneously from main and external fuel tanks. Theoretically, if i switch OFF the Main fuel valve, engine will remain running feeded from external fuel tank. we have mix of both fuel systems, Wobble pump and Booster pump, it change nothing. "1" is "Main fuel valve" lever is placed under Dashboard "2" is "Drop Tank Fuel Cock Control" lever is placed on RH cockpit side
-
I have the same experience, i was able to take fuel from external tank, even i have valve closed. Functionality of the lever which control valve for external fuel tank has not been implemented yet.
-
Just for Spitfire.
-
Yes, switches have not been implemented yet. I already asked about them, we will see. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3554035&postcount=1 Now, all carried bombs are released simultaneously when switch is pressed.

It is mentioned in russian forum part, coolant efficiency was increased according to objective facts. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3556954&postcount=631

It has been done for P-51 too, or only for Spitfire? thanks for answer
-
It is known bug since the last patch, it is reported for both planes, 109 and 190. Water-methanol is not working now, until DCS W will be repaired.

Hello, any progress with campaign? Or ETA for it?

clipped wings effect flight model?
saburo_cz replied to DracoLlasa's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Spitfire with clipped wings seems to be slightly slower than Spitfire with standard wings. I compared standard Spitfire with CW Spitfire during several flights and I was always faster with standard about 5-7km/h than CW. All tests were at low altitude. IMO CW should be faster, not too much but still faster. -
[REPORTED]Drop tanks not feeding and Oxygen refill
saburo_cz replied to J13 Serenity's topic in Bugs and Problems
the same, can not use fuel from drop tanks, all controls checked -
HI, Water/Methanol Pressure Gauge does not show MW pressure when MW is engaged. According to ATA manifold pressure MW itself probably works. MW50 is OFF MW50 is ON, but no pressure indication

first of all, big thank you for Spitfire update, i like it  but i have one question Is here a future development plan for adding to Spitfire switches for bombs fuses and bombs selection? %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/JZ6ZCkC.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/LXHNstP.jpg[/img] Thank You. i placed it in wrong forums part, can you placed it to Spiftire general forum, please? it is not bug...

clipped wings effect flight model?
saburo_cz replied to DracoLlasa's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
it is still here : Flight Controls / Trim Elevator NOSE DOWN/UP it works for me -
map with targets and additional info is here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3457358&postcount=1790

I think, it is Controls Options / View Cockpit / Save Cockpit Angles - "RAlt + Num 0"
-
hopefully it will bring already promised finished Spitfire...
