  1. I guess, "D-25" will have only one antenna mast for VHF radio instead of two for UncleDog homing on fuselage in front of tail unit. It will probably lose combined contol box for it and IFF and get only one small for IFF. It will lose VHF antenna mast under fuselage. May be, it will lose some weight. HVARs capability will remain as a K-14 gyrogunsight.
  2. Propeller pitch will probably have manual control like 109K-4. In Aircaft handbook is written that there is in case automatic malfunction possibility of control propeller pich manualy. Throttle lever is described as a "Throttle lever with thumb actuated propeller pitch control" in cockpit description.
  3. yes i did, and flew slower with 3000rpm... it is understandable
  4. I mean for example, if i fly at 100m above sea and set max. continuous setting 46inHg/2700RPM the manifold pressure regulator keeps 46inHg manifold pressure up to certain altitude without ANY touch of the throttle lever (in this case up to 1900m with 400km/h TAS). Then, during this one flight, i use WEP, then descent, slow down and repeat procedure. Again i set max. continuous engine setting and start climb. And what happen. Manifold pressure starts nearly immediately falling down (in this case at 1900m above sea i had only 38inHg instead 46 before WEP, the same speed of course). In past i had to set at least 47inHg to make the manifold pressure regulator working (41 is minimal before WEP engagement according to manual). I hope it is understandable. But now, it seems to not work anymore after WEP. So, probably no shift for 5inHg but total malfunction.. No have time for more tests now. I tried report it in past, but with no effect...
  5. for me in Year 2019 P-47 Fw 190A-8 and a new damage model maybe a new WWII map too :smilewink:
  6. That is not true, it is wrong understanding and rewriting from manual from 1952. Where is written that military power (61inHG) gives to a pilot enough power to damage engine and this is why there is not reason to increase power (and mainly possibility to kill engine) using power above rated (means 67inHG WEP). If you need extra power/speed, it is very usefull from 0m AGL up to critical altitude. I personaly try to avoid it, because it kills* manifold pressure regulator. *actualy not kills, only shifts up range where it works for 5inHG..
  7. If you fly with engine setting 45inHg/3000RPM, you will get nothing compared to 45/2700. Only your engine will be warmer, but you will not fly faster... Table with the most efficient engine settings (manifold pressure with proper RPM) is in manual, and the best is follow it.
  8. Every base Tower has its own frequency. HF for Luftwaffe planes. VHF for Allied WWII planes. UHF for modern planes. and 4th, do not know for what, maybe CA? It is the same like for others maps.
  9. yep, you are right so, mechanical gear indicators are truly missing
  10. and never confirmed on any known K-4 photo (the same for mechanical gear indicators) Flettner tabs are documented only on few G-6s and probably G-10s (10s were from WNF factory)
  11. amazing
  12. 188.194.224.15:10308 this address is written on server description when i click on SoF on server list in game
  13. BS is running at this moment without any problem. Do you have any mod? May be...
  14. Foggy condition was mostly "no go" condition during WWII era, except for special trained pilots and often planes with special radio air navigation equipment. If You want to fly with this, You have to prepare flight plan. It has to contain nav. points distance, azimut between them and calculation flight time based on Your plane speed. It is necessary to remember any significant land marks around Your planed flight route, like towns, lakes, forests, rivers... Then You have to follow it with Your eyes on instruments and constantly calculate Your approximate position based on speed, azimut and elapsed time of Your actual flight. Towers on airbases can help, you can always ask them for navigation assistance and TWR will give to You information about azimut and distance to asked base, but You have to preset correct TWR frequency in mission editor and select right button on radio control box. There is no simple way or simple switch in WWII planes how to fly and navigate in such weather.
  15. 1. damage model (for both planes and ground units) 2. contacts visibility 3. faster bugs repair 4. Placeable field airfields with spawn positions 5. new planes (for now P-47 and Fw 190A-8 at least) 6. "realistic" surface behavior (to be able perform skip bombing) 7. WWII era radio equipment (radars, navigation beacons and ATC) then whatever you want, but nothing is more important than these seven for me in this order
  16. Could be this unpleasant bug somehow connected with fact that the DCS Dora has manifold pressure with MW 50 1,9ATA on low gear but IRL was only 1,8ATA?
  17. Parking brakes were set, when i tested it. I checked it on "controls indicator". edit: Spitfire`s moving rudder will change "brake power distribution", then plane can turn because one brake is not fully set
  18. For me it works correctly too, no problem here. Rudder goes in direction where trim is set with increased airflow from propeller. Only if i set trim to left, slight tendency to turn plane left is here with increased power, but it is OK, it goes with propeller torque.
  19. i know his FB page, it is great https://www.facebook.com/TheSecretHorsepowerRace/
  20. It is from : L.Dv.T.2190 A-7/R2 und A-8/R2/Wa - Fw 190 A-7/R2 un A8/R2 SchuBwaffenanlage - MK 108 un des Flugeln It`s for 30mm cannons outer wings position for models A-7 and A-8. No standard F-8 had these three C/Bs.
  21. A-8 was without MW, actually not only A-8 all with BMW 801 were without it.. (may be some tests planes had it)
  22. Hi, allied "Friedly target warnings" on chanel 4 reports Russian P-51 as a enemy. Every time i flew above our (allied) targets with P-51 (rus. from Krymsk) i received message about enemy plane above ground target where i was flying. I am sure, i was there alone. Map : Normandy1994_Anticipation Can someone confirm it, check it?
  23. from P-47 topic written by NineLine: "I dont have anything firm of any sorts, but I am hearing we could see the Jug and A-8 right around the same time. Again, nothing firm, no idea when, no promises, nothing in concrete, just chatter."
  24. Interview with Franz Stigler on The 109 Lair . . How long did it last? Uhh…you were not allowed to have it at more than 5 min., you know…if you used it 10 minutes, then motor has to come out. It makes the engine worse? It wrecks the motor. . . My opinion is that running MW 50 On for 25 minutes without interruption in non-ideal condition without any engine trouble is not perfecly correct. How does above mentioned part from interview go agains my opinion? And i am NOT asking for engine dead after 10 minutes MW running! (10 minutes was allowed in manual)
  25. It is hard penalty for that and is not necessary. Remove bombs from base is enough to solve this issue. If you remove only underwings 250lbs, Spitfire' "boost" will remain but not so excessive. Will be slower than Dora. Or you can take away every external stores for Spitfire and "return" game to prior to their introduction.
