  1. 25th May 1945 was day when 7th AF Mustans, 78th FS, used first time HVAR during mission against airfields in the Tokyo area. 5th AF Mustangs used them too. IMHO Mustangs in ETO did not use them.
  2. It works for Bf. You should set airport frequency in mission editor, for instance Kobuleti is 111.5 But You must be very close to RWY to receive transmitting, not far than 10km. And very close to RWY axis too.
  3. really not good news... :( hopefully, ED will get necessary information
  4. I tried to deploy them too, and confirm it. Before last patch slats worked perfectly (their animation).
  5. 1. you can not do it 2.you can change it in mission editor 3.too, in mission editor, click on the plane on the map 4.fully automatic, you can change target temperature which it will try to keep, no reason for it, if it is fully open, you will fly too slow 5.not sure you can open instant action missions in mission editor, just "Open file" (on the left upper corner) and then open "quick start" file for proper aircraft
  6. what does it exactly mean? btw. DCS Mustang was released long time before first DCS WWII plan was announced...
  7. Bomb Fusing Selector Unit has nothing to do with rockets fuses. But, true is that both switches on "21-cm Rocket Control Unit" have any influence on 21-cm rockets.
  8. WWII  P-51B/C vs. Fw-190A8, Bf 109G6/14 1985 would be fine too...
  9. never used in combat, Mustang(s) on the last picture is described here: http://retromechanix.com/rocket-boosted-north-american-p-51d-mustang-1945/nggallery/image/three-quarter-front-view-of-p-51d-equipped-with-rocket-motor rest of them, after war tests
  10. i think difference was between bomb fuse time settings, not sure if in DCS is this simulated (means time difference between level delay and dive delay)
  11. Every WWII P-51D had center fuel tank. Yes, DCS P-51D has control box for 7th AF IFF, but SRC-522 and battery are behind armor like in all Mustangs except 7th AF Mustangs. No IFF itself is here. So, no changes will be there if ED release "new" ETO Mustang. Only IFF control box will be replaced with different one with minimal effect on Mustang`s weight.
  12. K-14 mods are switched by rotary knob. vertical lever is ON/OFF switch for gyro inside K-14
  13. Radiators could pilot open manualy on ground for test only. When pilots released pushbutton system returned to fully automatic mode back. radiator functionality test is good way to start her  So, both you are right... i am looking forward soo much :smilewink:
  14. Kurfürst behaviour on ground in 2.0.3 is definitely different from 1.5.4 IMHO to good way.
  15. if it is during plane moving or engine running above idle, it is right it is caused by rudder trim, Dora is trimmed to fly "legs off" at cruising speed with 2200 - 2400RPM at cruising altitude and speed rudder must corrected propeller`s torque, so, it must be "off to the right of the center-position" you can check it in TF-51 where you can control rudder`s trim from cockpit and you will see what it does Dora has it fixed.
  16. Only increased power is that. Systems which identify DCS Mustang with 7th AF Mustangs are not functional in DCS. Minor changes on external appearance and in cockpit will be for the most players negligible.
  17. Thanks Merlin, my mistake it is UncleDog, U - D in morse code. this document is about possibility to use it and what would be necessary to do "in the event that AN- F -33 is aviable for P-51" (paragraph 9) no evidence about use of it during last months in WWII
  18. only instaled devices was that difference Uncle Sam and one different type of IFF Mustangs used in ETO had only one antenna mast on top of fuselage and they were without control box in cockpit for uncle sam and they were without antenna mast under fuselage. PTO Mustangs (but only from IwoJima) had newest IFF with different control box from type used in ETO. This control box is in DCS Mustang cockpit, but IFF box itself is not, it was behind radio, Iwo Muststangs with that IFF (all) had battery moved in to engine compartment, DCS Mustang has battery behind radio. With battery movement, Mustang got small air intake on left side engine cover, in front of left wing, DCS Mustang has it. PTO Mustangs did not undergo modification for increased manifold pressure and this is the main problem... Othewise late Mustangs (D-20, -25 and -30) in ETO and PTO were the same.
  19. two videos taken on ACG server show how many bullets do you need for kill Fw or Bf [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] unfortunately i need more ammo mostly...
  20. "legend of the Y29" where 352nds FG clashed with JG11 is really not good example of everything about engine power, especialy using more powerfull engine settings ... first: German pilots were ordered "Do not engage any air to air combat, just focus on ground targets" and they strictly obeyed it. (ref. Bodenplatte: The Luftwaffe's Last Hope -The Attack on Allied Airfields, New Year's Day by John Manrho, Ron Pütz) second: 8th AF fighter units operating from the Continent (352nd during that skirmish) were used only 100/130 fuel with 67"inHg. (wwiiaircrafterformance) and last: pilots skills, the most German pilots were with wery low training and many of them flew their firs (and last) combat sortie. (ref. Bodenplatte: The Luftwaffe's Last Hope -The Attack on Allied Airfields, New Year's Day by John Manrho, Ron Pütz, and others sources related to Air war)
  21. here: C:\....\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\Bf-109K-4
  22. Not automatically but pilots do (or did) it. I am not sure if it is still for modern planes, i remember if from older types, our pilots did it. I do not know right English formulation for that altitude, only Czech. btw. i would prefer altimeter set to actual altitude instead of "zero alt.", like, for instance, F-15C has it
  23. It is reason why i asked if rockets are functionale, when i found rockets possibility. I loaded rockets with bomb and i was not able to fire them. But I could droped only bomb. I thought that i do something wrong and payload was it.
  24. Probably never, like they were not carried by Bf 109G10/K-4. but D-9 with R4M were used by at least one JGruppe somewhere on the North of Germany during war last weeks (months).
