Multicrew - Can't slew camera left and right
jeffdude replied to DrummerNL's topic in Bugs and Problems
Nope, I'm not sure why. I have the understanding that they don't have time to be on the forums all day every day, but this thread is getting older without a response on a nasty issue that did work ok at one point. The multiplayer improvements to performance were groundbreaking, but without the HOT and a weapon officer that can shoot, what's the point? -
Multicrew - Can't slew camera left and right
jeffdude replied to DrummerNL's topic in Bugs and Problems
I am having this issue as well. Just tried the M version, with my wife as co-pilot/weapons officer. She could not use the keyboard commands to slew the camera at all. She also tried to use the joystick (bound to the camera slew) and found that left and right slew moved the camera up and down while the up and down did very little. At no time could she command the camera left or right., It is impossible for her to target with the HOT missile with this bug. -
Just wanted to add. I just had a terrible time on our Persian Gulf server. As soon as I loaded weapons, I started to slide across the deck. I had to disconnect before slamming into another jet. He was sliding too. Separate issue, a memory leak happened and my game crashed after filling all 16Gb of my mem. I want so badly to love this, but I always run into some crappy issue in multiplayer. I have to agree. I hope someone sees these bug reports. they sure are fun to boost with this system

I wanted to report this problem as well. It worked fine prior to this OB patch today.

Just reporting here: I just had a perfect flight with them. Had 4 65-E's loaded. Fired all four on one pass ( several second break in between) I was able to move the TGP and Laser onto all four targets and destroy them all! it works well. That last one was a little tough because I need practice, but no issues found :)

Ok so I have good news and bad news. First, the good. The fix worked to bring up a picture for me and my (MP) copilot. The flight, synchronization, and general helicopter was the smoothest it's ever been in multicrew. And now the bad: The only problem was my weapons officer/wife was unable to get the slew commands to actually move the camera. The ADI mode showed that it was attempting the input, but the camera never actually moved. This was further shown by placing the hover to slaved mode, she could not move the camera in any direction, and the helo was stable pointing at wherever the camera was first pointed at when it came on. We are so close to greatness here!

We (the community) love all of that stuff. We like physics and the technical details that make up a great module!
-
Well that makes it hard to take complete advantage of that missile, although I'm sure not many use it. Thanks for the info

I couldn't seem to activate TWS2 for the R77

Wow. That is not a small list. You folks have been busy! Can't wait to try out the changes.

Thanks for the stream Wags! I enjoyed every bit of that. -
I am also just now getting this bug, the camera just starts going, It used to ground stabilize pretty well, now it just go's. I've been flying BS2 for years, haven't seen this one before.

Co-pilot in Multicrew cannot control helicopter.
jeffdude replied to D4n's topic in Bugs and Problems
I agree, and would compliment everyones' positive attitude at this news. A more stable camera is very exciting indeed! Thanks for not quitting on us PC! -
I didn't even know this was a thing (loft bombing in the 14) With the GBU 12, this could really decimate some mud out there!! Thanks for the share we DO appreciate it quite a bit!

It is beautiful, I believe that the 1.5.8 client was kept alive (unsupported) just for folks who would not like to or can't support the new render engine. I agree with the poster that suggested that the game not be catered to older generation hardware. I do realize that new hardware costs, but that shouldn't affect the forwarding of progress with this product. Press on ED!

Any chance of a demo video of the AFM, for the fans? A little work in progress video to help with the wait?
-
I am starting to believe the same! This small jet has so many nice little details. There is a ladder and chocks in when the plane is cold and dark. There is a real generator that shows up when you ask for external power. The sounds seem to be spot on in many areas. The navigation systems are also very nice.

Easter egg found: thank you Leatherneck !!!!

LOL I just came across this in the sim, that's too cool! Nice one heatblur! -
Awesome, I don't know if you can control this, but could you place a note in the "patch notes" when this one is fixed. It would make many folks pretty happy I would imagine. Cheers!
-
Awesome, have any luck with your fix sir?
-
I'm guessing it'll be the next patch, I can confirm that the issues is still present in both 1.5.x and 2.x versions with the latest updates applied. I'm glad you're looking into it. it's sad to see the AJS slots all empty because of this bug. I can move some serious mud with this bird :joystick:

I personally hope to see no more changes, it's a great module that I consider complete, which is tough for many modules to say.

Re-Caging a slewed Mav, or snapping it back to DMT
jeffdude replied to smallberries's topic in AV-8B N/A
patch is out on 1.5 beta. I couldn't seem to get it to fire the laser (it flashed laser, but never guided any of the GBu12's) -
I don't mean to be negative here, but the lighting is so bad that I can't play it. If a mission is running near "noon" I can't see the HUD in most cases. The flare on the RB05 is tough to see at best. The controls are all dark even though outside the pit, it's glaring bright. I've tried to lower the gama setting all the way to "1.0" but it still is off.
