  4. Thanks man! What I can do is take some accurate measurements with some digital calipers next week and let you know how it looks, see if it is indeed a printing issue. Yea I was kinda bummed - and a little nervous unplugging that lead again and bending that terminal in half again to pass through the hole!

  6. Thanks for the update - if I could give a suggestion as to 'what can be done'. They could be halved in size which would make a huge difference. Perhaps if the artist would like to maintain his high-def skins then they could be offered as an additional mod download for customers should they desire.
  7. Andre - what's the story with the Jetseat if there isn't any specific profile for the F-16 (I am trying to get f4l0 F-16 access, or something sorted!) Is it usable, will it work with the default 'jet' profile? Will we have any effects at all? Am not the only one concerned about this. I mean I can just 'wait and see' I guess...just asking if it will even be useful in that instance, as that will be pretty much all I will be flying for quite some time (and the odd heli). Will we be stuck with no F-16 profile if f4l0 can't get hold of the aircraft?
  8. So yea - interesting story. Track attached! Minigun version, take-off and some light hovering to test out the GE. Still some funky things going on so head out to runway, takeoff and cruise down the coast a short way. Gently land on the beach and go to outside view to check heli positioning...and watch entire main rotor pop off the helicopter. Now I know what everyone will say - "Oh but you must have been doing 4G inverted dives with Mig-28's - noob" etc. But I think you will agree the flying is pretty casual and controlled, and I can guarantee I never hit 100 power as I have the Y-axis saturation on the collective set to 80% to help with the GE handling. Oh yeah - and the fault in the de-brief screen was listed as "Aw shoot.", not sure I am aware of that system on the Gazelle.... Was thinking it was possibly sand damage because I wasn't using the intake filter, but the engine kept running fine - so if it was related to that (see damage on top of helicopter caused by who knows what) then I think the damage model needs work. In any case - this might prove useful to hopefully get to the bottom of it for someone else who still flies this module. Rotor Separation.trk
  9. Rgr - thanks guys. Looks like dissassembly will be the way to go. Last time one of the little trigger springs flew out - wat a PITA lol. This was actually while I was swapping out to one of Debs printed necks for the WH stick in prep for use on a force sense base - but upon reassembly there was quite a bit of slop/play in the grip iteslf on the mounting shaft so totally unusable. Took it back out again and resigned myself to maybe wrap it in aluminium tape or something if and when my actual OEM neck snaps....will deal with it at the time. But it was not the correct dimensions at the end of the day.

  11. Nope. Also TBH the 'clicking' sound doesn't really help you at all - as the throttle is making all manner of clicking and clacking noise throughout pretty much the entire range. You also don't even get any sort of Fuel Flow indication of AB either - only nozzle position. I am quite lucky as I use a Jetseat so I can feel the AB rumble.
  12. Awesome man! :thumbup: All the guns feel sweet with the Jetseat, I actually find myself running out of ammo way sooner than I used to lol. "Don't really need to fire this long, but daymnn. brrrrt GET SOOME!" lol.

  14. Yes actually I have considered that - if you check my post I actually offered to just buy the module outright for him....but I am not the only one with a Jestseat. TBH f4l0 could really have got onto contacting ED regarding module access, discounted modules, or organised some form of donation procedure to help him a while ago. As it stand now there is 1 day till the cessation of the 20% discount to get this organised - which given the situation the discount would have probably been handy. I have contacted Wags via PM to ask for any assistance in access for f4l0 to the F-16 for the purposes of coding etc - fingers crossed!
  15. Wicked, looking at the pics on pg 3 of the thread and it seems the DMS is just removed by pulling it off and pushing on the replacement? I have one of Debs castle hats coming also and was wondering based on that if I actually needed to disassemble my WH stick, or can I just pull the old DMS hat off and replace it?
  16. So effectively the jetseat FSE is going to be completely useless in the F-16 unless f410 feels like buying it? Will it not even output any effects even using 'default jet' profile? It seems a little off to have a products usefulness entirely dependent on a single individuals whim/personal finances. I would be happy to help with a loan so you can get the F-16 at 20% discount right now...if I had any sort of guarantee that A: we would actually get a profile out of it in a reasonable timeframe, and B: I actually got my money back eventually.

  18. I am sure it won't take long for a 'Clear Canopy' mod to come out like every other aircraft if it's too bad. Generally you need the same 3-4 mods for most aircraft to make them actually enjoyable in DCS, such as a clearer canopy mod, readable cockpit labels in VR, various texture fixes, NVG blur removal in VR etc.

  20. +1, particularly with the reclined seating position an empty seat will be more obvious in VR.
