  1. Agreed - really looking forward to a Mod to address these exact issues. Also while the MFD font may be 'realistic' - I find it not that great in the Rift S so hoping for a change there too. Happy to forego 100% accuracy in the name of usability, which isn't for everyone so happy to wait for mods.
  2. On the couple of A-G training flights I did in a jet we did an initial 2.5G immediately off the runway to check the G-suit & Valve was working ok..and that was the lowest G's we pulled for the next hour. I can't say we did any 'specific' G-warm ups, as every change of direction involved at least 4-5G, and every ridge crossing involved aggressive pull-ups, rolls and then pull-down over the ridge....every time! So really there was no need to 'warm up' as you were constantly pulling G the whole flight. This would apply inbound to a target area etc - plenty of 'warm ups' on the way. Perhaps if you were up at altitude on a CAP or had a long transit first - but then you are hardly going to be like 'one second there good chap....just need to do my G-warmups first.'
  3. +1 Font is pretty tricky to read and #6 and #8 look identical in VR.
  4. You can edit existing Steerpoints now using the ICP - but yea no inputting 'new' ones yet.
  5. This is one of the things I like best about VR - having to cope with real limitations and requirements to maintain tally in a 1:1 scale. Thank goodness there is no G included! I was surprised how much more limited you were in the F-16 compared to an aircraft with stick mounted in the center! Can't turn as far to the right as your right hand is holding the stick limiting shoulder rotation, and can't turn as far left as the stick is on the far RH side of you. With ctr mount at least you can swap hands and then turn a long way around to your right while leveraging off the side of the seat with your right hand. Also allows more rotation to your left as well. Dogfighting left-handed whilst twisted sideways peering over your right shoulder is a thing lol. Using a simrig with adjustable backrest, I did find the reclined position actually helped a little seeing up and behind a bit more obviously.
  6. Ha yea, if any of that stuff was on your aircraft during walk-around..the crew chief would be getting the beckoning finger with a 'So ahh - whats up with that?'. I guess you could possibly implement weapon safety pins and a remote arming procedure... However I DO think the aircraft should always have chocks fitted when first entering it on the ground. IIRC the Mirage has this enabled.
  7. Cheers, yes the message detailing to change freq by the hold-short stayed up top of screen and nothing happened, despite changing to that preset, as described. Also, having dropped Mk-84's for real (pretty sure I had GBU-10's on my jet...that's the big ones)...I am pretty sure I wouldn't want to be anywhere 'close' to them! But hey, no biggie. Cheers for the mission.
  8. Hi Sedlo, just tried out the mission several times. First run changing to the takeoff frequency preset did nothing (CH2 I believe)- no response while holding short of the RWY, just took off anyway. Second time through worked ok selecting channel while approaching the runway. After landing, the preset to change to for ground doesn't match the actual freq on that preset. Also the loadout - I wasn't aware 2x GBU-10's is a standard CAS loadout? I assume we are supposed to change to a more suitable loadout before departure?
  9. You currently can't - WIP. You're welcome!
  10. Yep - love my VKB GF also
  11. Yes, fully open - this requires more power to maintain and so the engine is up in the more responsive area of operation.
  12. Boards out in the downwind leg. Also, if you hold the SB open switch in the open position, they extend a bit further with the gear down while held. Nice for any additional drag you might need on short finals to settle everything in the right spot after the base turn. Also handy after touchdown. Also the guys talking about 'slight drifts', 1 deg of pitch etc and using pitch trim...you still need to actually fly the jet to respond to wind etc. No need for a gross trim change, just fly the jet. Long distance altitude holding at perfect pitch is what the AP is for.
  13. Have a browse in the Bugs section first guys..Multiple threads already and has been reported. - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=252233
  14. Hi Derek, there is no reason at all to use the pitch trim in the Viper. Just use light stick pressure to set the nose/FPM where you want and leave it - aircraft trims itself. Be that at a set climb angle, or straight and level. Probably just need to get your head around the F-16 - you also might need 1 or 2 DZ if your stick is inputting commands at neutral. Roll trim on the other hand is needed for assymetric loadouts...and yes is too sensitive which has been reported.
  15. Not sure how comfortable I would be flying along with my bombs bouncing around under the wing like that!
  16. Man....it's almost like I can see into the future...https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4046398&postcount=3 Even I was a little surprised thou - I think it was less than a weeks notice of release and cancellation of the pre-order window in the end.
  17. Not quite. I can happily pull 8.5G in Cat III, and it doesn't auto-switch. I was under the impression that you would get a CONFIG Master Caution if in Cat III and you expend all your A-G stores/deplete your external tanks...but not seen it in DCS to date.
  18. Nice one Panther, looks like it is the NWS causing it. Your suggestion of Chan 2 and disable anti-skid does the trick for now thou
  19. Hmmmm - So ED, could you sort it so we can we bind OSB 7 to a long-press of the NWS button in the meantime till fixed please?
  20. either that, or RL dudes
  21. So....you are manually using the programs then.
  22. Lookin at this from another AR thread.. It seems the fuel not being used from the externals with the AAR door open is correct behaviour - but the fact that the fuel level immediately drops once the AAR door is closed sometime after refuel as if it had been used from the external tanks that whole time is incorrect. Ideally you should run out of fuel with full externals if you leave the AAR door open. Edit: Sooo, Missing Track File huh, well you will keep missing it as it's a large file. Eh, you can fix it or ignore it - 6 of 1, 1/2 doz of the other to me really. Done the legwork for ya and it's pretty easy to reproduce.
  23. In actuality that is exactly what it is...but it is not your physical IPD, but if you can imagine the IPD of your digital self in the world. SO by reducing the DCS IPD setting for example - you are effectively moving your digital DCS eyeballs closer together, giving you a smaller digital head so the world looks bigger, and vice versa. Why it seems different for each aircraft I have no idea! But it is easy to set - just set it too small and look at your 1:1 sidestick in game and at your Warthog grip IRL...looks way too big. Now go the other way and it will look way to small - then just converge the two till you can swap between headset off and on and there is no size difference. Anything at 1:1 scale works held at the correct position to match in-game, such as a certain display or instrument panel. If you can't look at two different images and tell if one is different than the other....
  24. Checking world scale is super easy in VR if you have something of scale to work with - I set my DCS scale IPD initially in the F-14 using a 1:1 printout of the front panel/ACM panel etc. I had to reduce it a fair bit in the Viper by simply lifting my headset and comparing my TM Warthog grip and MFD.s to the in-game items, which seemed quite a bit smaller than my IRL items. I have all these items positioned identically IRL as in the sim relative to my head position. The world scale is also dependant on what type of headset you are using, as when I tried an odyssey+ I had to adjust the in-game scale quite a lot from my Rift. Probably dependant on other things such as prescription inserts etc.
