  1. I had a G940. It wasn't all that bad. But upgraded to the TM Warthog. (wich is better with choppers then I previously could imagine) However, a pair of (Saitek) rudder pedals are a far better investment, especially for flying choppers.
  2. Every once in a while, I enter a VRS. Everybody does. You can escape from it by pushing the stick forward and raising the collective (not too high, RPM's will drop, generators will fail and the autopilot will cut off)
  3. Thanks
  4. You should provide us with a track or a video. It makes looking at your performance a lot easier. Also, do you fly with the 1.5 open beta or the 1.2 stable version?
  5. Yes I did change that. But only AFTER the Mi-8 module giving me cr@p... Amazing! I changed the third line of my autoupdate.cfg from "branch": "MIG-21BIS", , to "branch": "openbeta", And it works now!!! :joystick: I installed the Mi-8 module again. I have no idea what triggered the change to the autoupdate.cfg to read "MiG-21BIS", but it works now. A BIG THANKS FOR YOUR HELP  no touching cfg files anymore...
  6. I did just that. I have auto-sign-in at start-up and disabled it and signed in manually. No change. :( I am also able to connect to multiplayer servers in the Open Beta.
  7. I tried disabling the virusscanner and still got the same result. I use AVIRA anti-virus software. I haven't got any seperate firewall.
  8. When downloading and clicking on the free installer, it says that all webinstalls are suspended. If it is of any help.
  9. YEP, I can reach it. Is it supposed to look like this: ? EDIT: DCS updater for the stable version works like a charm.
  10. I'm glad to see that even the developpers are a bit wobbly in their flying :music_whistling: Joking... thanks for the vid!
  11. Thanks for responding so soon. It seems a broader bug wich affects all modules. I read somewhere that the German DCS servers are down. Does it have anything to do with that? Below are the autoupdate logs. Logs.zip
  12. Got this error message while trying to reinstall the Mi-8 module. I tried repairing some modules that are installed, but I got the same error message. I tried using the module manager and the Windows command thing. But it all gives the same error message. Please help! How can I install the Mi-8 module and use the DCS-updater function again?
  13. Just like that. I wanted to reinstall the Mi-8 since I messed up some files for it. :music_whistling: (I'm sorry, just trying to improve the Mi-8 experience) So I deactivated and de-installed it from the module manager. Then I manually deleted the Mi-8 files from my HD. (the ones that were left behind) Then I restarted DCS world and got into the module manager and tried to do a fresh install of the Mi-8. But I got this error message instead and the module wasn't installed. I also tried the command prompt DCS_updater.exe install thing with the same result each time. It seems the Mi-8 files are not available from the servers? Anyways, can someone help me to re-install it again? Thanks in advance!
  14. I got the same thing in the BETA. I destroyed the jeep, got the message to return to the combat area and then... nothing. THe BMP-2's stay in the village. They need to drive through and 'park' in the trigger zone "Korshun (something something)" But after the jeep is destroyed, they don't move...
  15. There is something about it in the manual. But a vid id always nice. :)
  16. Last night, I did a manual start-up. After I climbed to about 8km of altitude, I began to have some kind of 'double vision' The kind of images you see on television when they want to show you how being 'drunk' feels like. Probably some Hypoxia simulation? I did forget to set the three-way switch for cabin (or possibly helmet) ventilation. It is the switch on the left panel, near the canopy closing handles. The double vision dissapeared after I decended to about 3 or 4 km. Awesome detail!
  17. I only know that they fire when you get them at the start of a mission. Not if you equip them later, via the F8/re-arm menu.
  18. D@mn, that MiG-21 is fine! I used the english cockpit, but now I learned all of the switches, I use the Russian cockpit again for a more authentic experience! It is the best module so far!
  19. Or use the F2 view and set your altimeter accordingly. :D
  20. Any of the other modules have the same problem, or only the MiG-21? What kind of joystick and other hardware do you have? Also, re-calibrating in windows might help.
  21. For getting the textures back, maybe you can use DCS updater to "repair" the MiG-21 module. A "Howto" is posted here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Do you have any modification of the MiG-21 files installed? Like different textures for the cockpit or something?
  22. I do have the textures. But sometimes it is not working either. I think if you reload the ASO-2 pod with another load-out inside the mission itself (from the F8 menu) It will not work. It is like they remove the given load-out and never replace it with the new stuff you requested.
  23. Two weeks, be sure! :megalol:
  24. 50 euros is cheap. I spent about 200 euros in my panels. Not counting the wiring, I took that from my job. And i handpicked every component myself. It is all metal and it all depends on how cheap you can get the components.
  25. Visual approaches are tricky, I know. But it is a nice vid.
