After installing DCS on my new computer, I notice that I'm getting a static sounding noise on lift off. It will stop if I reduce power and land. I'm getting the same thing on my Open Beta install as well. I've disabled mods, etc. with no success. It's very annoying. Any help is appreciated.

Is there a way to remove the noise? It's very annoying.

Baltic creates the most immersive missions. I have no doubt they will be worth the purchase price.

I tried them all. Now I get the following message: DAWS can't retrieve METAR from chosen airport. The last available has been loaded. However, the weather information in the ME is all at 0...no change. I then get a message: PRESET NOT FOUND.

For some reason its not changing anything with me. It appears in the Mission Editor but when I indicate that I want to download weather, it doesn't do anything. I have rev 3.

Agreed.....I noticed the same thing. After the first stream when everyone was examining his module manager in detail....he was pretty quick with the mouse.

I've had the RAE-RWR Expansion and Air Brake Beep mods installed for several months and have never had a problem connecting to the 104th. Last evening, I started to get the dreaded connection interrupted during what I believe was the integrity check. I disabled all of my mods and was able to connect. So, I started to enable them one by one until I found the culprits. When either of the above mods are enabled, I can't connect. Can anyone explain why suddenly these two mods would suddenly give me a connection issue? (I had also done a repair after disabling the mods).I've been able to re-create the issue a number of times by disabling and re-enabling those mods...so, I'm comfortable with the diagnosis.

I wouldn't mind ED developing the NTTR map to include some California cities in detail. There might be some interest with a 3rd party developer to build a business jet. The type that are converted to military use.

My only issue with the mod is that it also tints the HUD area which isn't tinted on the real A10. Perhaps I've installed it incorrectly. I would like to get it to work correctly though.

I was using OBS (Open Broadcast Software) to record missions on my Windows 7 machine. I recently moved to a new computer with Windows 8. OBS will not record full screen on W8. I loved the software because it would record Teamspeak comms as well as the game sounds. I need a recommendation for software that will record full screen on Windows 8. Its my understanding that FRAPS will not record full screen on W8 either.

Baltic Dragon is one of the best. Of that, there is no doubt. His missions are worth paying for.

Agree completely.... It takes getting used to..... But worth it.

Out of curiosity I checked my FPS using the F86 on Kutaisi's runway and got 45 FPS. I'm using an I7 3.4ghz (no OC) and a GTX 550ti. My settings were all set to HIGH.

I've hosted missions on my PC with a few players with out any issues. You enter the mission normally as would a server hosted by someone else.

The simplest way is to just double the 4 small springs that are located on the posts. Buy 4 similar sized springs and just place them on top of the 4 that are already there. Be aware that the flange that rides up and down is tight around those posts. If you reduce the resistance of the main spring you may run into some sticking. I suggest some silicone spray in the four flange holes. I've tried the plastic lubricants, silicone grease, etc......nothing worked as well as the silicone spray.....and it lasts.
