  1. It's because DCS doesn't work without Parallel Projections in PiTools checked, which absolutely kills performance when checked.
  2. Probably an improvement over the Cougar, but it still sucks (mediocre design). Wouldn’t waste your money on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. April Fools joke.
  4. Even if you build a monster system you can’t enjoy the full immersion...9900K and 2080Ti won’t drive DCS in a Pimax, until ED gets their shit together with VR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It’s the Rift that’s the reason it’s fuzzy, not the cockpit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They’ve got everyone by the balls, why should they care to hurry it up? Up until this point, the new players just keep putting out Russian style grips or space sim style grips, so why should they care? Maybe the Chinese group that just surfaced will motivate them, but otherwise, I’m not surprised they aren’t in any hurry....there’s zero reason to be, for them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. https://uploadvr.com/valve-teases-index-vr-headset-for-may/ Might be relevant to your interests. Very intentional, I’d say, with the angle of the shot on the IPD adjustment wheel [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My recommended setting is: start saving money for a 2080Ti ASAP. Edit: also start praying for some DCS improvements to reduce CPU load.
  9. I'm with you, I get lots of eye strain if I don't have the IPD dialed in. I think this varies greatly person to person.
  10. Outstanding work, Lynx!
  11. HP's Reverb VR Pro Headset Eh, I highlighted both of HP’s biggest shortcuts on the Reverb (and what I feel are clearly it’s biggest shortcomings vs its current competition), not sure where the issue with that is? If you want to circlejerk without interruption, with no opposing thoughts, opinions or questions, go to the HP forums and do it there. The fact of the matter is there is no perfect HMD available and it’s all about making a decision on which option you’re willing to trade off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Relevant for comparison sake: http://palmerluckey.com/i-cant-use-rift-s-and-neither-can-you/
  13. Right, it’s 100% a cost cutting measure and inferior to a true mechanical adjustment. Sadly Oculus continues down their cost reduction for the masses path and is doing the same with the S: https://uploadvr.com/oculus-rift-s-ipd/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. HP's Reverb VR Pro Headset I’ve read numerous places that there is no IPD adjustment and the company has said “the sweetspot is big enough, you don’t need to be able to adjust it.” Guess we will need to wait and see, but if that’s the case, some people on the upper or lower end might be left a bit disappointed. Hopefully if they are taking that stance, there’s a software level adjustment for all users. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Fixed IPD and such a narrow FOV still...I can’t wrap my head around all the interest in this one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You have ASW on in the Rift software, so if you're not getting 90FPS (which you never will in the current version of DCS bc it's so terribly optimized), it locks you to 45FPS for smoothness.
  17. Correct, and hopefully we will see a fix for this soon. DCS is one of the few games that still requires Parallel Projection to be ran. Given Wags' post in the OP here, from quite a while ago, stating that ED and Pimax were working together, one could have reasonably assumed things would have been more buttoned up from the start.
  18. My O+ always ran fine in MP with pretty aggressive settings. My Pimax 5K+ on the other hand, I will 100% need to upgrade to a 2080Ti to achieve the same. But on topic, $599 for a HMD with no IPD adjustment? No thanks.
  19. Incorrect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Look at my rig, equal to or greater than your across the board... I get 20 FPS online. Maybe 30 when lucky in SP. 2100/6000 on the GPU, 5.1ghz on the CPU. Good luck.
  21. Buckle up and prepare for a glorious 15 to 20 frame per second experience like you've never had before!
  22. Can you post a link, if handy? I can’t seem to find that thread, but definitely curious to read up. Thanks man! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Bugeye (and Aerotronics) throttles are priced many multiples higher than $1K (and they don't sell for home use), so no point in continuing to reference them as comparable replicas really.
