  1. Firstly I would like to mention that I am aware of ground handling in Viper has recently been adjusted. And I also know that FLCS will be tuned further. I had discussion with real life Viper pilot related to DCS F-16. He said that when you land the F-16 you don't even need do stick inputs to keep the nose at where it is for aerobraking. In DCS we have hard time to keep the nose where it is. I guess that needs some fixing. Also he mentioned that after landing the nose does not drift left or right so violently such as in DCS. He said important thing is to apply both wheel brakes at the same time. Another thing is that during refueling he mentioned that once the aircraft is steady for contact he does not need to do any stick inputs or just very tiny inputs. It is such a steady airplane. Then until the transfer is complete all that he does is to do very very tiny throttle adjustments. In DCS the plane constantly needs stick adjustments in order to keep the contact.
  2. There is no F-16C skin available to Combined Blue Forces. I think all should be available there.
  3. Aerobraking does not reduce the landing distance, in fact it lengthens it. The reason for aerobreaking is to reduce the total amount of energy that the wheel brakes needs to absorb. Excessive braking causes overheating and brake failure. This is called "hot break". If you use the brakes at 140 knots, you will need twice as much energy absorption than you would brake at 100 knots. By the way, landing does not feel right. It is hard to control once the nose gets a bit drifted. Even the differential braking has little help
  4. Maybe the most weird request, but should be easy to do for you. My son wants to drive the trains in DCS. He likes them so much. If you could just add back/forth movement and make it usable for Combined Arms module that would be perfect.
  5. Silver Tigers is a Turkish speaking DCS squadron. Below you can see the application info in Turkish. 6. RSS feed links throw style error.
  7. In contrast, I remember like ED stated that other Viper versions might be possible in the future, but no plans yet.
  8. After entering steerpoint coordinates manually, the HUD tadpole and distance does not show the entered location. You must increase and then decrease the current steerpoint once, in order to update the HUD.
  9. Although not an owner of an Mi-8, I had the chance to fly it during free-for-all event. That was the most fun to fly. Second is UH-1H. Third is Ka-50 has lots of AP authority. Last one, Gazelle flight model is to be updated as far as I know. Currently Gazelle FM does not even follow the laws of physics, I got sick of complaining about this, and quit flying it long time ago.

    Flash

Yes it is that one. However I haven't noticed it in Caucaus.

    Flash

I dont know how to prove it but sometimes I get a whole screen flash. This happens lets say once in a minute or once in 3 minutes im not sure. 1-2 frame gets totally white screen and then everything continues just normally. Happens only in Syria.
  12. Thank you for this event and your efforts!
  13. Using the PRE mode now, I locked the target in wpn page, master arm on, good range and keyhole, but when I press wpn release, nothing happens but FPM flashes. Then I switch to VIS mode and finally can fire.
  14. Even if WPN page is SOI, the iteration gets stuck after max 3 presses.
  15. In case you have the asterix (*) on the left top corner of the HUD, your HUD is SOI.
  16. @jonsky7 In VIS mode you are not intended to use TPOD so it is normal that it does not move. You are using your visual reference on the HUD and the Maverick seeker. Boresight is the same, except that your crosshair is stabilized on the HUD instead of the ground while the target is unlocked. The only mode where TPOD is useful is the PRE mode. If you have a steerpoint there, in PRE mode is quite easy as shown in ED's video. If you don't have any steerpoints there, I don't know how it is done.
  17. AGM-65 PRE mode - HUD based TGP slew? Let's assume that there is a target somewhere in front of me. But I don't have any steerpoints near there. I have TGP and AGM-65s loaded. I want to target that area with TGP using the HUD to find its whereabouts, and locate a ground vehicle with TGP, use the handoff to lock Maverick in PRE mode. The main problem here is that in PRE mode I can not make the TGP look to where I want it to. If I didn't have AGM-65s and I would be in CCRP mode, I can make the HUD SOI and locate anywhere I see on the HUD, and TGP would look there. I tried using SP mode of the TGP, but the HUD symbology won't move/show any marker, so I cannot know where the TGP is pointing with respect to HUD. One solution is using the VIS mode and forget about the TGP and handoff. But that's not the point.
  18. Cursor/Enable switch on the throttle should iterate the AGM-65 pre/vis/bore modes.

  20. Great news! Wish you best of success.
  21. The Viper radar currently works like a quantum physics. It loses lock just randomly. It sometimes fails to lock upon pressing TMS up, loses lock in dogfight, loses lock in RWS, does not lock in TWS. Sometimes the contact fades while you are still trying to lock. These are not certain events. They happen randomly and can be experienced after long time Viper usage. Well let's say the Viper radar is WiP.
  22. I don't really agree with Razor's statement. It turns better in slow speeds. Even MiG-15 turns better in low speeds but it lacks thrust to chase you. Well you may not own it, you can still setup ace level dogfight and see.
  23. Set up a dogfight between the Viper and ACE level MiG-19P. Try to beat him. I can not do it and seriously want to know how to.
