  1. Sorry, I don't want to go off topic, but I just noticed something. The wingspan scale, you have a 10 mark all the way to the right, then the next mark is 11, which is your setting, then you have 12 (long vertical line with small horizontal line through it), 13, 14, 15 and the 16 that is marked with 15? Or is the big vertical line not 12? Judging by the non linear spacing I guess I am wrong?
  2. There is a light master switch on the throttle that you have to turn on aswell. Don't think that one is clickable so look in the controls for the keybind.
  3. Here's the best answer you will get: It depends. There is no "One is always better", it entirely depends on the situation. There are some situation where a radar guided missile is better, some situation where an IR guided missile is better, and sometimes there are situations where a radar Lock paired with an IR missile can be okay. If the target is far away, you might be able to fire a radar guided missile before you can fire an IR missile. The opposite may be true if he is close. If a target is hiding behind a cloud or flying into the sun, a radar guided missile is better suited than an IR missile. If you want to be stealthy, an IR missile will be better suited than a radar guided missile.
  4. There is absolutely quite a bit of interest in a winter version of Normandy from the community, however, the developers have no plans currently for winter. Here's a tiny collection of that topic:
  5. If a new mission does not work it's definitly also worth a try to remove all of your mods and then see if that improved it.
  6. I can enter and view the encyclopedia from the mission editor just fine. Have you removed all of your mods when you tried it? Does it also happen when you enter the mission editor in a fresh mission without any units in?
  7. Yes, the DCS AI turns off the ILS for the runway that is not in use. Lower wind settings, 2-5kts or so, tend to make it a bit more erratic.
  8. No, not in the sense you want. But you can of course prepare the MFD pages so that you can quickly cycle through them with DMS left/Right to the appropriate page instead of trying to find it in the MFD page menu. And then if you perhaps pre-set RUK mode or if you use the HAD, it should be fairly quick.
  9. Weight? Outside air temperature? Your altitude? Got a short track? Have you tried the solution that fixed the problem for OP?
  10. It has always been like this and we don't know if ED plans to model wetness on objects and the world.
  11. Seperate infantry units will not add or subtract any efficiency with their presence. So you don't have to put soldiers behind units.

    Rain Switch

Doesn't have any use in DCS.
  13. But we don't have an israeli F-16C. They are specifically going for a US F-16C.
  14. First 3 are not going to happen as our variant that ED wants to model does not use those weapons. Same basically goes for the SDB. You may refer to the other X amount of topics about (one of which is literally pinned in the wishlist section here) the SDB for more details on that.
  15. Remove all mods, run a repair and see if it's still the same. Also would be nice to know if it's all vehicles or only specific ones. And then also if they even have their engines turned on in the first place.
  16. There is no need to cycle anything in the F-16. If you were cleared for contact, took fuel and then disconnected, despite the tanker saying "return pre contact", you don't actually have to call or say anything. If you simply go back into contact position, the tanker should connect to you again automatically.
  17. No, repair does not touch the saved games directory. What you could do is rename the DCS folder in the saved games directory. This will force DCS to create a new and fresh one which will hopefully fix that issue. Once fixed, you can copy over your controls from the renamed folder.
  18. Just a note: if a mod no longer works, the mission can still be used if you manually delete the "required modules" in the mission file itself. The .miz file is basically a .zip file that can be opened with winrar or similar, and in there you have the lua to edit the mod out.
  19. Since DCS doesn't really model the effect of phosphorus itself, they are more like short lived smoke markers.
  20. We already have that? There are dedicated agressor "countries" that you can select in the mission editor and then set it up like a CAP flight for example. Or what exactly do you have in mind?
  21. If you only get pre-contact clearance, you have to move into pre-contact position, and then declare ready contact. If you don't get cleared for contact, he will never connect the boom to you. And you will also not get the "return pre-contact" message if you were never cleared for contact position. Overall I think there is some misunderstanding going on here. Have you followed online tutorials? Do you perhaps have a short track at hand?
  22. Did you search for "Pilot" or "Body"? Anyway, it's RShift+P.
  23. If you know the keybinding to toggle it on/off, you can just press that and it will jump to the correct place.
  24. Thing is, you aren't even supposed to put your head outside, hence why leaving a gap there is pretty much no issue.
  25. The only thing I can think of is if you perhaps make the texture transparent, if that even works. Otherwise no, it will be either on or off.
