  1. Are you 100% sure? Because not being able to speed up is a result of that being turned on, it has nothing to do with you being a noob... Sometimes it's turned on without someone knowing. Also check mission settings. And if you have re-checked everything and are sure it is turned off, upload a track.
  2. Turn off the arcade/simple flight mode in your settings or in the mission settings. Having it turned on makes it unflyable.
  3. There are no pilot models for the cockpit.
  4. Are the textures that you assigned in Blender/3DS the exact same name as the ones in your texture folder?
  5. It is already included in the game, so you don't need to download anything. You just have to make sure your DCS is up to date. What category in static objects are you looking for? They should be findable in structures or whatever the english equivalent is. There are also some M92 assets in the unarmed ground vehicle category. Can you find these?
  6. Looks more like you placed it too close to another asset, making it spawn on top of it. Spread the units a bit more apart to see if that fixed it.
  7. Combined Arms does not add any functions to the mission editor itself. Combined arms allows you to control the units during the mission. So if you are having trouble with AI units not behaving like you set them in the editor during the mission, yes it can help. But like I said, there is very limited functionality coming with CA. You'll only be able to give them commands where to fly/drive, what to attack, their formation and their state (auto/green/red), that's it. So if that is worth it for you is for you to decide. It can be however quite fun to drive the vehicles themself from time to time.
  8. No, it just lets you drive most (not all) units and gives you some rudimentary controll to the non-drivable ones. Yes, by the press of a button. No, I don't think you can replace the AWACS like that. Combined arms was developed long before any of that Datalink we have now. The idea was just that you can control/drive vehicles or give them orders where to go/what to shoot. Other than that, the functionality is rather limited.
  9. Does your F7 key work outside of DCS normally? Are external views enabled in the mission? Are external views enabled in your settings? Are there any ground vehicles present on the map?
  10. Just as a sidenote, firing from very close range can be quite ineffective, as you potentially waste all bullets of 3 out of 6 guns or even waste everything as you'll be hitting rather sturdy sections of the plane instead of where it matters. But yes, as YoYo said in your linked discussion, the Zero should go down quicker than an FW-190.
  11. The plane has to be set to "player" and then you have an additional tab available (next to the weapons tab, frequency tab etc.) that allows you to set specific fails. __________________ As an alternative you can also trigger fails via the trigger list: ________________ Note: Failures don't work in Multiplayer Recommendation: Don't ever enable random failures in the settings. It will give you just so many failures within a short span of time, and quite serious ones. In short, your aircraft won't get random failures, it will just break down, to put it bluntly.
  12. They are not listed in axis because they are not axis. They are levers/switches that just open or close them, not set their position relative to the lever position. But maybe they'll introduce it as an axis in the future.
  13. Thats not the default cockpit texture, is it? Does it also happen without any mods/texture mods?
  15. The aircraft is divided into segments, some can be seen in the screenshot you provided. If you hit the wing at the wing tip, as an example, the outter part of the wing gets damage decals. But if you shoot at the wing, you won't puncture the fuel tank as there is none (in case of the 190). But if there would be a fuel tank, you would of course puncture it and see fuel leaking out. The visual damage model does not however show you every single bullet hole in the aircrafts skin. On the outside on the skin, you only have generic damage decals for certain sections of an aircraft.
  16. If you get shot in the fuel tank, you will have a "physical" hole in it and leak fuel, but visually on the fuselage, you'll just have that generic damage decal like in the picture you posted above.
  17. That is correct, but not visually as far as I know.
  18. No, that is not normal if you actually hit the aircraft. Remember, the visual damage is NOT representative of the locations or amount of damage you did. They are generic decals only. A screenshot doesn't tell a lot. Best is a video and or a track, as they will show how much you actually hit the aircraft or missed it.
  19. Feel free to upload a track showcasing it.
  20. It's an ancient core issue not related to a specific map.
  21. Mir ist keine Änderung bekannt. Schau doch mal in den Einstellungen nach, obs dort eine Änderung gegeben hat.
  22. The right one if fuel pressure, left one is oil pressure and top one is oil temperature. At least that's my take on it as the top one is labbeled with the C degrees sign.
  23. Can you describe a bit more about your engine failure? What are or were you doing at the moment of failure? What are the oil and coolant temps? What were your engine power settings? Etc.
