  1. I'm not against tracks but there is something I don't quite grasp. All they need to do here is launch an instant action mission and try to fire the missile so why do they need a track? Please don't think my goal is to be annoying or anything, I'm just trying to understand.
  2. You said it well yourself. The "small" print. They reserve themselves the right, in small fonts, to break the stuff you've bought. This doesn't make it more acceptable. Let's not demonize ED either. I'm sure they want to make the best products they can but I'm sure you get my point. We should at least be vocal about the fact there is a problem right now. Also they shouldn't be saying "if you don't like 2.5 OB then go play 1.5." because both versions are currently full of very serious bugs. I do and that's also why a lot of people are mad at ED right now.
  3. The base product is free, of course. No doubt about it. Now that you've bought all the spoilers, body kit, turbo, etc for your Impreza imagine if the person who gave you the car for free came back and lit it on fire. How would you feel? This kind of like what's happening for us. We bought all these nice modules and can't use them properly anymore.
  4. I have noticed this problem as well. You can report it here.
  5. The Tacan on the F-5 is bugged. Luckily, it has already been reported. They said they're gonna take care of it after the F-18 has been released.
  6. You couldn't be more wrong. Many modules (mostly campaigns but some aircraft systems too) do not work currently in 1.5.
  7. Yes but if you have bought modules, you need the map to use them. That's what he's trying to say. Everything used to work pretty well. Now both versions of DCS are half broken, be it 1.5.8 or 2.5 OB. So what do you do now with all the paid aircrafts and campaigns you already bought?
  8. I think the big issue isn't that their graphics engine doesn't work but simply that they have a team too small for their endeavor. They get things done, undeniably. They just get way too long.
  9. It's funny you say this because 1.5.8 is half broken at the moment. I'd be happy to play 1.5.8 if it was actually working.
  10. Btw I tried the weapons practice instant action mission on NTTR and unsurprinsingly, got the same results.
  11. Mi-8 is used by civil companies as well. They're the only ones I've seen equiped with a NS430.
  12. I don't know if it's just an illusion but loading times seem improved as well.
  13. From what I understand an issue has been reported only when you see "[Reported]" in the title of the thread. I could be wrong though. 12 - 17 NM is the max physical range of the missile, what it can achieve aerodynamicly if you will, depending on the launch altitude and speed. 7 NM is the practical range. As you know, this is what you get when trying to lock up a target and fire a missile at it. This is due to sensor limitations.
  14. This wouldn't be very convenient... Moreover, from what I know, military aircrafts are not equiped with civilian GPS like the NS430. Now I could be wrong, feel free to correct me if that's the case.
  15. Or maybe both :D
  16. Yup. Now the issue still needs to be reported. Having the missile consistently getting locks at these short distances is most definitely not normal.
  17. Just tried the mission and my findings were consistent with you guys. I was able to get locks but only from about 3 NM off the target. I don't think a track is necessary anymore as we're getting the same results in the same exact scenario...
  18. Agreed. It's been a while since I've been wanting to properly learn the Gazelle. I guess now is the perfect time to do it.
  19. I'm curious, have you modelled a F-16 cockpit for it or does it come with something we already have like an A-10 pit?
  20. The Su-25 doesn't have a clickable cockpit so I don't see how this could happen.
  21. 10.5 GB for me. I was surprised as well.
  22. I want to believe. Razbam I know you can do it! :)
  23. Thanks for trying the mission Shadow. I will re-fly it and join a track. Indeed, track sizes can vary a lot. For example, I had one recently (posted here) of only 28kb whereas the one from the last 104th Red Flag Multiplayer event I took part in was nearly 300mb. I would recommend using a cloud storage service and putting the download link in your post.
  24. At least the module is in better shape than the Hawk. We'll give them that. :music_whistling: :D
  25. Flew the mission very recently in 2.5 OB and didn't experience any issues on my end.
