2.5 Open Beta est dispo en français

This guy must be trolling. He already posted pretty much the same thing in the French section and his post didn't make much more sense there...

I second that. I'm sure the devs are doing everything they can to polish and release 2.5. The problem lies within their communication strategy... First they say "We promise to release DCS 2.5 by the end of January". Then DCS 2.5 release turns into the release of 2.5 Open Beta. Then they say just wait two more weeks and it will be out of beta. Now five weeks later, still in Beta and clearly not ready. Come on ED... Seriously?

Voting posts would be a nice feature indeed. It would let people know straight away if an information is particularly relevant or give an idea about the general consensus on the topic being discussed.

I would suggest to create a thread about the issue you're having in the appropriate forum. That's about as much as you can do really. Support tickets are meant for people who are having technical problems with their module or DCS World in general.

I think you guys made the right move. Rep system wasn't very valuable in my opinion.

@1:46 you can see the two cables for the Mi-8 ground power. One for AC and the other for DC current.

I've done several training missions recently with the Mi-8 and F-5 and here is what I can report: - Mi-8 startup tutorial stuck at shutdown APU (no follow-up even after shuting it down) - In VR bottom part of text is sometimes cut off - F-5 guided bomb tutorial issue with JTAC reporting "no further tasking available" right from the start

Of course but the impact is very small. The added AoA needed to compensate for the weight is very limited. Test it for yourself (aircraft loaded with 100% fuel vs 30% fuel for example) and you will see that differences in speed are quite negligible for an aircraft flying straight and level.

DOW has a negligible impact on an aircraft's speed. Drag and thrust are the factors to take into account here. The F-111F has similar size, shape, weight and thrust as the Su-24 and its top speed is Mach 2.5. How could the Su-24 possibly be stuck at Mach 1.35? Unless it had a major design flaw it would make no sense at all.

Yes the Su-24 is bigger and heavier but remember, it has folding wings. It reduces its drag coefficient by a huge amount. So not a very draggy plane at all and when you add up the fact it's five times the power of the F-5E... ;)

Su-24 engines make a total of 220 kN with afterburner engaged. F-5E engines only 44 kN. That makes less than a quarter of the power...

Su-24 speed limit is M1.35 only at sea level. The F-5E can only reach M 1.63 at high altitude, where the Su-24 is able to reach Mach 2.18.

"Su-24 outruns the F-5E". Nothing surprising here. The F-5 has very weak engines and is the slowest afterburner equiped jet that I can think of. Okay maybe faster than the Mig-17... but that's pretty much it.

Pareil, j'ai une gtx 980 et un rift et je joue parfois avec la VR sur off lorsque je veux apprendre les systèmes d'un appareil. De mon côté je n'ai aucun problème mais je n'ai pas d'écran 4k donc c'est peut être ça qui change la donne... Sinon j'ai lu sur le forum que des gens avaient des soucis avec le tout dernier driver nvidia en VR donc c'est peut être une piste à explorer. En voyant ça j'ai préféré ne pas le télécharger du coup.

There is a similar problem in the Mi-8 start up tutorial. After shutting down the APU, the mission doesn't continue as it should.

I play mostly on my rift and thus am not too affected by it but still I'm with you 100%. I don't understand why this "feature" exists as it adds nothing whatsoever aside from being annoying.

I agree. I've been having nothing but weird USB issues since I'm on Win 10. Periphereals disconnecting at start up, freezing randomly, etc.
