  1. Seems like it's bugged.

    DCS et Oculus

Oui heureusement les simu de course sont plus facile à faire tourner que DCS. Dans Assetto je suis à 90 fps locked avec les options pas si que ça loin du max...
  3. Hi, I have recently attempted to do some training missions but I'm having an issue with the "press space bar to continue" thing. I know it's been an issue for some people for quite a while but I remember that pressing the gun trigger instead of the space bar used to do the trick. Now it doesn't work anymore. Any idea? Thanks! EDIT: I found what was causing the problem. If you bound "Space" to any UI command like me (I assigned it to re-center VR viewpoint), you need to unbind it and the key will start to work in training missions.
  4. Correct but the problem is that it won't lock a dark tank sitting on white snow at daytime. That's weird to say the least. Hard to get better contrast than that...
  5. After several flights I've noticed that using point track on the TGP was very much unreliable. Sometimes it tracks properly but it often doesn't. With the AGM-65H it's a similar kind of problem. On some flights the seeker works like a charm and locks targets with ease but on other flights it just won't achieve lock no matter how hard you try. Anybody experiencing this as well?
  6. Ok, that's interesting. I thought it was only the case with later software suites. I haven't retested in 2.5 yet but in 1.5, yes definitely.
  7. Nah... GTX 1060, 16 GB RAM and intel i5 is perfectly fine :)
  8. If I remember correctly they said that because all the wind data comes preloaded into the cartridge and thus nobody needs to input it on the cdu like we're used to in DCS. The data itself is still very much needed and useful though.
  9. I've run a few tests and it seems that inputting wind data into the CDU has become uneffective in 2.5, giving us a wrong ccip solution (and probably for ccrp as well). Bombs fall consistently off the target by a significant distance. I'm using the standard method from Boris which used to work fine in 1.5. In 2.0 Open Alpha already, people started noticing it wasn't working anymore so it would make sense that the problem has been carried over to 2.5, as both of these version have a lot in common. Can you guys confirm this?
  10. Same, unfortunately I won't be available next sunday. That makes one less Mirage slot occupied.
  11. Encore merci à Baltic et à tous ceux qui ont participé. Rien à voir avec l'ancienne doc ;)
  12. I am curious, how do you change the geographic coordinate system while in flight? Thanks!
  13. Interesting. They're probably using it to emulate jamming devices used by adversary nations. Still curious to know what's the pod at 2:06 though. Probably the same type of stuff...
  14. At around 2:06 does any of you guys know what this strange looking pod is? Another one also at 2:21, mounted between the wheels and mounted under the wing at 2:29. Quite weird looking as well...
  15. Situational awareness and depth perception are much better with the Rift. Plus having 1:1 movements between the real and virtual world is fantastic. Pixel density is less than satisfactory though and kind of ruins the whole thing.
  16. $2,800 you said? Thanks but no thanks! :music_whistling:
  17. I did some tank battles a year or two ago and did not experience this at all. I found the western tanks to be very tough. But perhaps it has changed since then?
  18. Hello gents, I recently discovered this podcast here: https://fighterpilotpodcast.com/ The guy started very recently and I only wish he was less afraid of going deep into technical stuff like what Markus Voelter (Omega Tau Podcast) does but hey, as a former Navy F-18 pilot he still has some pretty interesting things to say! Guests have also all been good so far.
  19. Axelerator Mirage 2000 Edit: entry canceled.
  20. You don't need to worry about that mate. The two screens will look like a single one to you. A the beginning you may experience some double vision from time to time but it completely goes away once you get used to it after about 3 weeks.
  21. A new manual was very much needed. Thanks Baltic! :)
  22. IR missiles have difficulties tracking helicopters. It's a fact in DCS as well as in real life. If you shoot a IR missile on a helicopter, expect it to miss very often.
  23. Indeed, there's currently a problem when deferred shading is disabled the graphics on the ground look horrendous.
  24. I did a test today with deferred shading on and off and it looks like you are right! When aircrafts in the distance look like dots with it off, I see nothing with it on. After trying the mirage missile fight quickstart mission on caucasus multiple times, the results were quite clear. With deferred shading on I got shot down pretty much every time and with it off I was able to kill all 4 opponents and succeed the mission consistently. Contrary to what I thought there might not have been a scaling in place that got removed but instead it's the deferred shading that is making things hard to spot.
