  1. Ok make sense now whats going on, thanks Aeria, wish I read this before I left a comment in the bug section. I will play around with it and see which way I am going to deal with it.
  2. Forward flight is fine, apart from the collective but I created a curve on it and now feels as it normally does, takeoff however feels very odd. What I have noticed is that I have to use a lot of right pedal on take off , and I mean a lot, way more than I am used to, and it also feels like it wants to roll over too easily, makes me feel like a novice again. I don't normally fly with the indicators on, but I will give that a go and see, so thanks.
  3. Yep there is something very different since the last patch, it just feels totally off, the takeoff feels completely borked, I am all over the show atm which is not the case normally, even the collective feels different.
  4. That's not how it used to work at all, it never needed a restart to use ALT+ENTER, I use it constantly, to force a restart where before it worked just fine is rather silly of them, and I have noticed a performance hit since the latest patch which makes sense now if the app is in windowed mode constantly.
  5. Same issue Same issue.
  6. Apparently not, anubis however is involved, but they started from scratch about a year ago.
  7. Not sure I would call it difficult, unpleasant would be a better word for my experience.
  8. I know that mirrors can cause stuttering/fps loss, however if I fly the HIP over densely forested areas with the mirrors on then stuttering/fps loss occurs, but, and here is the clincher, if I fly the HIND over the exact same area with those huge mirrors on, there is no stuttering or framerate loss at all. I would have thought the opposite would be true, but that's not the case.
  9. Try this software which hides the controllers, I used it to play far cry 6, load of crap btw, as the developers are not remotely capable of adding disable controllers in the game, it is beyond them, but what I found as an added bonus it sorts out the windoze not going to sleep/screen off problem due to controllers keeping it "awake". https://github.com/ViGEm/HidHide
  10. The apache is not much fun atm, even though I have no real problem flying it with same pedals you have, I do not enjoy it at all, too temperamental. One thing to keep in mind with the rudder pedals, they get very sensitive when you restart or shutdown your machine, get into the habit of moving them through their range of movement before each flight. You could try these curves and see if they help, it did for me. null
  11. Yeah that would be a no for me, even though I find my muscle memory from the hind and hip cause me to reach for the trim hat every so often when flying the Apache, I still would not want it unless it is part of how the AH-64 is. TBH I am not sure what having a fancy stick has to do with anything, fancy stick'ers are some of the worst sim pilots I have ever seen, like me for example.
  12. I will give this a whirl, thanks man.
  13. That video you posted of the pedals did more explain this to me than anything else, so thanks Aeria.
  14. "it's reaching the point I just can't keep playing this anymore. " I know that feeling very well, the twitchy performance issues can be rather demotivating and frustrating. Fear not though, you will get some twit that will come here insinuate that it's all in your mind. However this current version is running ok for me, no real issues apart from the ones that have been around for about 4000 years.
  15. I don't think there is a module as satisfying as the Hip, it's the feng shui of DCS.
  16. If I am understanding you correctly, then you don't adjust their speeds and path in the mission editor, you do it on the F10 map while you are flying the mission. If you are unsure of how that is done, let me know and I will try and show you, if that's not what you meant then ignore me. Although I do own combined arms so I am not sure if this feature is linked to that, I have had CA so long I don't remember what it's like without it.
  17. You can control the ground units yourself, adjust their speed and give them new paths to take if they go a little berserk or refuse to do what they supposed to. Personally 90 minute missions is not a problem for me.
  18. Seems to be better now after the patch, it always felt a little screwed up to me. Also on TrackIR btw.
  19. The hind will <profanity> you in the asss just when you think you have it all under control. These custom curves worked the best for me.
  20. Tried these, these are pretty good for me, feels less twitchy than the way I had it, so thanks man.
  21. If you change that file I mentioned it changes the colour of the helmet inside the cockpit, so it's part of the cockpit textures, the external views will still show whatever the skins helmet is.
  22. That helmet texture is part of the cockpit not the skin I think, I tried to mess around with it but it does not work as part of the skin, I may have missed something there obviously. This is the file I found "pilot_AH64_helmet.dds" which is in a zip file called AH-64D-CPT-TEXTURES which is located in "Mods\aircraft\AH-64D\Cockpit\Textures", I am assuming that's the file for the helmet. If you figure it out let us know, I will mess around with it some more and see what can be done, I have an idea I will try later, but if that works it would mean it would change the helmet for all skins as it will be part of the cockpit not the skin, which is not what I want, I want it just to change for a specific skin.
