If no delayed fuse bombs then no purchase from me. Lucky there is competition and I will get delayed fuse bombs with another developer that is interested in meeting customer expectations for historical delayed fuse bombs. For a long time now I have stopped purchasing DCS stuff as, to be honest, I have not felt very valued as a customer because of issues like this, amongst others. I still keep dipping my toe in and reading the forums hoping that things will change though. I like to support flight sim developers but sometimes one has to draw a line somewhere. Wish I did not feel that I have to say this. I understand your scepticism, but I am standing by with optimism and hoping I won't have wasted my high hopes, again. Happy landings, Talisman

Good numbers and good fun last night, although things kicked off a bit later than I posted, so sorry I got the timing a bit early. Happy landings, Talisman

Hi Folks, I think there will be good numbers on the server tonight as there is a bit of a gathering planned. So might be a good idea to join the party. 1st July from about 18.00 hours BST onwards. Happy landings, Talisman

I have the map but can't fly it. The map is listed but no aircraft are listed to fly with instant action flights, for example, take off, landing, free flight, dog fight, etc. I would like to fly this map but how? I don't do mission builder stuff (don't know how and never had the need), so please don't tell me I can only fly this map via the mission builder, because I don't use the mission builder. Any guidance would be gratefully received because so far this is very disappointing. Happy landings, Talisman

This combat report (see below) from 7th March 1944 shows 150 rounds per cannon with 76 rounds S.A.P.I. and 74 rounds H.E.I. per gun for the Spitfire XIV. This armament information is near the bottom of the report just above the signatures. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/610_Harding_7march44.pdf This supports what is said in the book you have referenced DD_Fenrir. Many thanks for your post. I hope we can get SAPI and HEI loaded in 50/50 quantities as soon as possible for RAF Aircraft loadouts in DCS. Specifically this should be the case for the Spitfire and the upcoming Mosquito. I hope the developers have this information. Happy landings, Talisman

This could be great! Happy landings, Talisman -
As a VR user this update is disappointing in the visuals department to say the least. I shan't say any more because its just too disheartening and others have already said it anyway. Back once again to flying other flight sim titles for me and I shan't be purchasing any new aircraft for DCS for the time being. Happy landings, Talisman

As a VR user (Pimax 5k+) I too am disappointed with the visuals, which are very lack lustre to say the least This update is a non event for me, which is a shame because I had been looking forward to it and thought I might be tempted to fly DCS more and purchase new aircraft. However, its back to flying other flight simulation titles for me and not interested in purchasing any new DCS aircraft. Happy landings, Talisman

Folks, Some very interesting information here and all historical archive, enjoy: The Secret History of Fighter Aircraft Engine Development in WW2 - YouTube P.S. The dev's might enjoy this one too. Happy landings, Talisman

I have the JetPad (with SimShaker for Aviators and SimShaker for Wings software) and it is great! Fantastic immersion and brilliant with VR. Also great with force feedback joystick and haptic feedback headphones. Highly recommend the JetPad and associated USB mode software. Happy landings, Talisman

Lancaster was used for day time raids, so great, lets have it. There is a market out there for the Lancaster for sure. 3 nice photographs below: Happy landings, Talisman

Autopilot or Level flight option at WW2 aircraft
Talisman_VR replied to jorgesoo's topic in Wish List
No autopilot thank you, as this is not historical or realistic and is not needed IMHO. Happy landings, Talisman -
Very much this regarding timer-fused bombs! Happy landings, Talisman

Great fun on this server last night (Sat) with 30 odd pilots in combat. The Mig-51 vs Sabre is a great match-up Start time was 1900 GMT. Thank you SeaQuark for this server and for increasing the pilot capacity. Thank you to ACG_VietKong for arranging for so many pilots to take part through the link below. Link for Korea 1952 Discord : https://discord.gg/KqpQSSC Hope to see more folks on this server for events like last night Happy landings, Talisman

Folks, This is a very informative book: Royal Air Force 1939-1945 Vol III The Fight Is Won by Hilary St.George Saunders: Good (1954) | World of Rare Books (abebooks.co.uk) Published by Her Majesty's Stationary Office in 1954, it gives some great information, including Mosquito timed bomb delay fuses for missions including 10 and 11-second delay and also 30-second delay fused bombs. Page 150 explains how for some targets "preliminary tests with instantaneously fused bombs dropped from a height of 2,000 ft gave no results. It proved necessary , therefore, to descend to tree-top level and throw the bomb into the main building..." Page 151 explains how eight to ten Mosquito aircraft attacked targets "flying in pairs, the first armed with 30-second delay fused bombs, the remainder with 10 second." Therefore, I certainly suggest that we need the ability to adjust our Mosquito bomb delay timed fuses from zero to at least 30-seconds. Happy landings, Talisman P.S. Volumes I and II of the above book are also a very good read. -

OK, decided to give it a go and purchased this map. FPS around the 50's, sometimes low 60's and sometimes 45 or a little less. I used the instant action free flight sortie as a bench mark. Of course, I have a lot of things turned off or on low settings on the graphics settings in-game. Found the map enjoyable enough during the limited time I have spent flying it so far. DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion

I could not agree with you more. Puzzles the hell out of me why more attention has not been paid to this to date. Lots of effort into weapon delivery systems for modern fast jet stuff, but WWII aircraft not so much it would appear. Happy landings, Talisman -

There are also tactical reasons for using time delay bomb fuses. Happy landings, Talisman -
Many thanks for your feedback. As I suspected, no Channel map for me then and that means I am unlikely to purchase the Mosquito either I am really only here for WW2, but not diving in as my flight simulation of choice yet. I will keep watching and waiting. Happy landings, Talisman

Please get back with your thoughts on the map, as I am considering it and would value your feedback. Thanks in anticipation. Happy landings, Talisman
