  1. I just replaced my ten year old CH fighterstick with the VKB gunfighter2 and extension (and MCG pro). Preordered and had to wait I think about 2 months, but it was worth it! High quality and a buttery smooth feel. No noticeable center. Using Stock springs here. It just feels great for flying the Huey or the Hip. So I'd choose VKB or I guess VPC as well, you won't be dissapointed, it's a huge step up from CH
  2. Very nice product! Hope you make the software easy and clear to use.
  3. Well, I just returned the Rift. The immersion was great yes, but I couldn't get over the lack of resolution and especially, the SDE. Felt like my eyes were straining all the time. The fov was also far too limited, like watching through diving glasses. Performance was good, smooth. 2080 and 9700 running at 5ghz. I guess the Pimax would be the ideal HMD, but that would mean buying the 208ti and still not getting optimal frame rates. So for now it's back to a 2d, g-sync monitor. Hopefully in a year or two we'll see better headsets, more optimization on ED's part and a new nvidia 3080 card.
  4. I have the same/similar problem as yours, but with an LG G-Sync monitor and a 2080. Monitor and cables (hdmi and display port) worked fine on my old pc with a gtx970. I only got a signal after a couple of hard resets, where the pc would change default display port. It would run fine after that. Shut down the computer, restarted it after an hour or two, no problem. Then I would try to start it in the morning, no signal! Several resets later, working again. So, I'll know tomorrow morning I guess, if the problem still persists. Just now I made the following changes: Changed the BIOS boot priority again. Settled on the correct one (I hope) after seeing a schematic on the EVGA forums. Then I used DDU (display driver uninstaller) for the old drivers (I was running 411 ...). And lastly, I turned off Fast Startup, mentioned in another thread. I have a feeling that this won't resolve the problem however, and I need to look further into the BIOS. Fortunately I have someone to help me out in this department. I'll let you know if something comes up. 5. Miles, can you still put me on the list for one of your PointCtrl's? I bought an Oculus a few days ago and I would love to try this out with it.
  6. I bought a LG32GK850G and very happy with it!
  7. Great news! Could you please do a video on using it with the Huey? What is it like when flying a helicopter?
  8. Simxperience is coming out with a renewed version of their G-seat, the GS-5. Price $2999. So I guess that's about the price point where it would be profitable for a company. I'd be willing to pay that, good construction quality, and high quality motors ... Anyway, fantastic piece of kit, and I hope it'll be available for others sometime in the not too distant future.
  9. Agree wholeheartedly!
  10. I'd look into the LG32GK850G (G-sync, 144Hz/165Hz). A 55/65" 4K samsung QLED would be nice as well (more immersive perhaps), but then you don't get G-sync or those high frame rates/responsiveness, like you get with 1440p. NVIDIA is supposedly still coming out with those giant g-sync monitors, but with VR eventually being the way to go, I can't see myself spending that kind of money on something I will not use for DCS, in say two years.
  11. Couldn't decide between the two either, but in the end, after a lot of reading, watching a few video's, I ordered the VKB MCG Pro with the extension. I will order the throttle when it's available as well. Hopefully that F/14 grip will be released in the not too distant future. Good luck with your choice! Either will be great I think.
  12. Haha then AMD it is :) Hopefully it won't be too long till release.
  13. Ok thanks, wait and see I guess.
  14. I'm looking to put together a new pc, specifically for DCS. Am I right that for single core clockspeeds, Intel will remain king, and the reasons to wait for Zen 2 would be lower power consumption; price, while running at almost equal clock speeds (4.8 or so)?
  15. Komodo back to accept orders it seems.
  16. Why do you think that would happen? Seems like the flight sim genre is doing quite well.
  17. Judging from the work that's being done, the comments by UIV on that russian forum, looks like this is going to be an awesome piece of kit. Hopefully available somewhere in the not too distant future. CH throttle will have to do in the meantime.
  18. +1 for a Tornado by Heatblur! Had some great times playing that Digital Integration game way back.
  19. I remember reading about the flimsy feel. I wonder whether there have been any improvements to komodo's products, justifying the price increase. £2500, this should be a high quality product and feel like it. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I remember substantially cheaper prices on the old website.
  20. That looks just great! Variation adds so very much to the sense of realism. This will be another fantastic map for helicopters. Others have mentioned it before, but I too hope that over the years, the others maps will get more different speedtree models as well. Just that extra mile for perfection. Please ED :)
  21. I'll just wait until they get the European site in order. VKB has my preference, in the meantime my trusty CH fighterstick will have to do :)
  22. Yes, judging by the excellent Mi-8 BST brought us, I'm sure the Hind will be an amazingly accurate module.
