  1. Yeah the default sound level aren't tuned super well IMO.. Adjust them though and you'll be fine :). Make sure you don't turn world volume down too much though... that's your other aircraft and it's nice to hear those :).
  2. Nah... I think everyone would prefer that everyone have 1.1... Hard to find you say? Isn't it on the discord in place of the older link?
  3. How is the interaction between the prop pitch, MP, RPM and current engine power modeled differently from the Mustang? I ask because I've done some speed tests and it doesn't seem to work quite like the mustang in game. In short... Which one do you feel is more correct and why? Or are they both correct? What are the details of the engine modeling? Things like temperature effects, mixture issues... all of it. One of the best things about the WWII birds is that you really have to run them actively if you want max performance. Things like manually opening and closing the radiators to keep the engine and drag in best conditions to extract every last little bit. It would be great to know the details of the 47... Can we run full rich to keep it a little cooler in order to close down the rads a bit more? Sometime that last MPH matters :). In my testing it seems that overheating the engine (Cylinder Head Temp) has a detrimental effect on maximum speed... Am I imagining things?

  5. for "best" results I suppose a 3080 is going to be "best"... But I'm running a Reverb V2 on a 2080 (No Ti) and it works pretty good... I don't think anyone will need a 3080 to have a fantastic experience...
  6. I have this issue as well. I've gone back and forth with multiple Alt+Enters and it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I've also had the window not even go full screen on Alt+Enter... but go to a bottom right corner running what looks to be 1920x1080 on my 4K screen... I'll bet it's locking the mouse to a ratio of THAT screen... Would someone take a look at their regular screen and see if the same is happening? If so... Change the "Screen resolution" to 4K in the setting and see if Alt+enter then makes it actually fulls screen? I'd do it myself but I'm at work...
  7. I'm seeing this a bit more often than I feel I should too... And generally when clicking things at the edge of vision/mousse constraint. It's definitely allowing the mouse to leave the constraint of the DCS window. Reverb here. All other programs minimized. I'm probably hitting the task bar. On a side note... When I Alt+Enter to go full screen... It confines my mouse to a somewhat random area of the screen in VR... making it so that I can't get to various buttons. The area I can click does NOT move with where I'm facing. It locks it to a specific square in 3D space and won't move out of that. Mouse interaction is buggy as heck right now.

  9. Most people try to just use the device without the target software. Please understand I don't use one of those sticks but have hears many times that everything works better if you just let the device be a game controller, then map all buttons directly in DCS.
  10. It would be SOOO cool to have a small water only map to place the carrier on and then setup a scene there... Maybe even in the tower :)
  11. As I said... Talking about/pointing out bugs is great :). I even encouraged it. I'm no white knight for ED :). That's pretty clear here unless you're just interested in sidestepping the actual issue here... ;) If you don't see what the actual point of my post was... That's not really my problem. I think I've made it abundantly clear. Discussing bugs... great. Telling ED to release stable versions as "OB" so one can have their cake and eat it to... Not great ;). For BarTzi :) - I'LL USE ITALICS INSTEAD OF CAPS FROM NOW ON TOO!!! :)
  12. For sure :). But if the point of view he's coming from is pretty crap... then he'll need to put up with being told that. Just like I'm willing to deal with people that tell me mine is ;). So tell me... Since you've said you don't want to come down to my level... Go ahead and stay on his and explain how saying one thing on one site, then saying darn near the opposite on another is reasonable. Really... On one site "This is BS we shouldn't have to deal with game breaking bugs every couple weeks in the OB... Do better" Then on the other "I get it's an OB, but... I'd be willing to wait as long as the stable releases so I don't have to deal with bugs". I'm just telling him to take option 2 man :)... that's all. He specifically said he's willing :). Also... He decided to throw ED under the bus for releasing a BETA with bugs.
  13. Well... if they choose to post crap like this... I'm OK with that. Seriously man... On your Hoggit post you say "I do understand it's BETA. But still, it's a public beta. I would rather go the length of time between updates like the stable release than get absolutely broken updates each couple of weeks in BETA then wait weeks for them to be patched. " WTH? So... out of one side of your mouth you're saying "I want to play beta but it has problems I don't want to deal with"... then out of the other side you say "I'd be fine with just waiting to play a stable version". One of those is a lie. You're speaking in a specific way on BOTH sites that is designed by you to stir crap. If I can call people on their BS and make them think twice about having completely asinine responses to OB releases that are, BY DESIGN, supposed to have problems... when THEY HAVE THE OPTION to DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAY YOU WOULD RATHER DO...   16. Yeah... seems like it's working opposite of what it should. Instead of creating a mask size that prevents AA outside of it... It's AAing everything, then using the mask to delete the outside part of the AAing... Or something to that effect. I haven't tested it myself... Just haven't had the time to sit down and figure it all out and set it correctly based on my system and needs... but... You gotta wonder where the communication breakdown happened. Like... Was there a project director/producer that just didn't tell the programmer that the ultimate goal was performance? Or... When the programmer was building all of this... Were they wondering "What's the point? Why are we doing this? There's no performance benefit and it only removes area that looks nicer..." Super odd :).

  21. I haven't played with it yet as I've been at work and/or doing other things but I'm getting the impression that some people seem to have new missile data and some don't... I'd suggest a repair and clean boot and run the tests again. there are certainly people reporting that the missile is now operating as ED says it should be post patch.
  22. There is a template mission in the folder structure with something like "population" in the name. try that. Delete what you don't need... modify so it works for you... Basically I would suggest deleting the carrier you don't need (Kuzz or SC) and then give the AI groups a patrol route or something. Maybe even set it up so they patrol and refuel indefinitely? Something fun anyway... Then you can both start cold AND have some air traffic :).
  23. Check the keybindings for the cameras for that and also in "general" for the Esc key to be sure they didn't get deleted?
  24. I don't recall it ever moving via slip when caged but I haven't flown it in a while so... Maybe I just don't remember :)
  25. I assume they feel like people can maintain their assigned altitude... :)
