DCS does not currently work with the Rift on AMD/ATI graphics cards. 99% of those of us who have a DK2 and TIR will choose TIR if we plan on killing anything. I'm much more satisfied with a triple monitor setup vs the DK2.

Without knowing what your settings are it's hard to say if somethings wrong. Mine runs much, much better with the 970 vs 760.

You can still buy modules on Steam :thumbup: And DCS will auto update when started if there's an update.

You will have an engine fire if you start the engines with the throttles forward.

Mine work great too. I actually bought the Saitek Combat pedals but couldn't get used to them after using the CHs for so long.

I will add that I just received my 970 today, with similar settings to the OP's latest settings, except shadows on medium, cockpit displays at 512, and MSAA at 4, I'm averaging 55FPS in the MiG-21bis during takeoff.....with 3 monitors. Keep dropping that MSAA, it will help a lot, but that AMD along with it's relatively low clock speed will hold you back some. Also drop the pre-load radius as low as it goes, you're just increasing your load time.

Turn down the AA, turn off HDR, and crank down those sliders on the right. I'm not surprised you're having FPS issues with the settings maxed out.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned and I somehow missed it but I just noticed this background image on the LNS site when looking up the new F14 page, appears to be a P47 on the right and a P38 on the left? Has this been there the whole time and I failed to notice it?

I too find this frustrating. The CDU will give you the wind and temp data, it's just a matter of keeping track and writing it down as you climb, then entering it in before you engage in combat.

The CBUs have a lot of drag, you really need a quite steep dive to use CCIP

About $1800 including my "pit", monitors, HOTAS, TIR, MFDs, button box and all the modules. This doesn't include my rig since it wasn't built specifically for DCS.

Don't enable manual reversion, it will be much easier to control without it.

They've already said they'll be "fixing" the key-mapping on the Fishbed at some point so I'd assume the the F14 will have the key-mapping style we desire from the beginning this time.

For the toe brakes you need to invert the axis. Each aircraft has it's own control setup, I wouldn't recommend trying to use the same control config in every aircraft. Are you also setting up game version controls and then getting onto servers that are in sim mode?

I'd wait on the card. My rig runs great with a 4790k and a GTX760, it's even not too bad with 3+1 monitors.

The "center" needs to equal your total resolution and that X value should be zero.. Also have you made sure the left most monitor is your main display in Windows?

I'm using a 3" (about 7.5cm) extension, I originally made it 4" but I cut it down and re-threaded it at 3" and I think it's perfect. IMO when the extension gets to be too long you actually have more stick deflection than is realistic, even though the stick itself is shorter than a real life counterpart, because of the large range of motion the ball socket provides. But most will agree longer is better if you really like helos.
