In VR that is too cumbersome! But I have a better solution for SP: an AHK script that mutes my sound card for 5 seconds after Pause is pressed. It does not help in MP unfortunately, unless I remember to press that button just before respawning. And I can't avoid the jolt when a missile hits (( -

My overall vibration level is fine. I have some effects on some modules near 0 and others near 100, to sense all of them the way I want. The problem is why I feel damage when it is disabled and why there is a huge jolt on ground spawn!? From the screenshots in my post it seems the culprit of the latter problem is LG Moving signal for all three gears arriving at once. Disabling Landing Gear effect eliminates the jolt, but I cannot live without it. Could the devs work with ED to fix this? Or maybe filter them out if all gear signals arrive so close together? @f4l0 -

Hello. I cannot seem to avoid a jolt when a missile hit me. Another jolt when I spawn on the ground in the beginning of a mission. My wife yells at me for that. Disabling respective effects does not help. Any ideas? -
Could you share the mission file? Curious to test it ))

Now I see Mig19 notching the first AMRAAM for one second, and it was enough to escape! Maybe the logic is to immediately re-target whatever the missile sees in the seeker. Can't be true to life, but I am no expert. -

I replayed the track twice and also see the first missile hitting the target. The attached tacview file did not, however, show it. Funny how tracks work. In mine I always crash in the trees shortly after taking off... -

Can't help OP with BIOS, but there is a way to bypass TPM by building own ISO. I did than couple of months ago and am happy how DCS performs with W11. -
@fapadorI don't have AMD, but my system is similarly old. What's your disk hardware for pagefile? In my experience DCS needs more than 16gb RAM even for SP, and any drive but NVMe gives me stutters. I think antivirus exclusion only matters for scheduled scans. Realtime monitoring can be stopped via settings (till reboot). I kill all other optional Windows processes before running DCS, with a .bat attached. Also, I fresh installed Windows 11 and see better CPU utilization and smoother gameplay. Important to delete shaders after each DCS update (see second .bat and edit it for your DCS drive/folders). And I run everything at bare minimum with no shadows. stop_services.bat delshaders.bat

W11+G2 run very smooth on my (old) PC. Maybe because I did a fresh install and W10 would be the same, or maybe because W11 came with the latest WMR version...

I am yet to see a successfully replayed MP VR track, but I'll try. I don't know how to reproduce, will keep an eye for chance occurrence. -

Happened to me on multiple occasions in MP with squad mates reporting the same. Launch params fine, master arm on etc, missile won't fire! Aim 120c/b and 9x/m. If I have time, pressing MSL STEP helps. Are missile motor failures modelled? Joystick button is fine physically. Not sure how a track file can help. Anybody else had this?

I heard many times that DCS only uses one core with maybe another one for sound. But my task manager shows all four of my cores fully loaded upto 100% when I fly DCS. What am I missing? Btw, also waiting for Alder Lake and DDR5 to upgrade.

+1 here! Just need to take all the optimization tips with lots of salt and test each one of the tricks in isolation rebooting the PC inbetween. Some advice, like disable full screen optimization for DCS.exe worsened my stutters. And try fresh install Windows 11. It really helped my aging rig to keep going. -

Yes, the DCS monster is out of control. I feel sad reading this thread as I was really looking forward to upgrade by the next year... -

Someone told me about DCS deleting textures from memory if they were not looked at for two minutes. It seems there is a memory leak in this process or something, because commited memory keeps growing. After 20 minutes on GS server I see it at 40 Gb, so pagefile swaps occur for most of us and create stutter. -
